Elizabeth Frost deserves special recognition for her meticulous planning and flawless delivery of my office renovation. Her astonishing artistry has unexpectedly uplifted my professional self-image & I couldn't possibly be happier - surpassing my expectations is an understatement. During the planning stages, she emphasized how much your surroundings affect your frame of mind but I had no idea how powerful this metamorphosis could actually be! Prior to the reno, my day-to-day felt uninspired and monotonous, just going through the motions so to speak. But now I feel much more passionate and enthusiastic - every day feels brighter and more energized! I know that sounds cliche but it is 100% true! In all honesty, I always considered these kinds of memes as mere platitudes but now I find myself reaching out to you, the reader of this review, as a witness to the truly life-changing effect Elizabeth's efforts have had! She couldn't have been more professional in presenting the initial plans, giving her full attention with respect for my intentions and feedback at each step along the way. Her ability to manifest ideas into a coordinated, cohesive, comfy, and creative atmosphere is just plain marvelous. The office has become a canvas on which my staff, my patients, and myself all find ourselves feeling privileged to paint with our daily interactions and experiences. Her ability to coordinate between contractors made the structured timeframe of the project efficient and cost-effective. The building owner was very happy that the work was completed on schedule and without any delayed surprises. Now when patients come in, they're all astonished at how much was done in such a short time. I know all too well how the shows on HGTV make everything look like these projects never seem to have any major hiccups but I can honestly say I was very impressed with how everything went according to plan. We all know how much that matters when every day not working is a day not producing. Elizabeth's taste is impeccable. I expect the compliments to continue in the years to come as the style she delivered feels timeless and elegant, in a way that puts everyone at ease and yet still feels suitable even for formalwear. She was always on time, available, and receptive. I will surely keep her in mind in the future - I'm so impressed that at this point it seems like any other designer might be a disappointment. A class act all the way!

My husband and I recently moved back to Texas after a long hiatus in New England. We bought an older historic house in Galveston and needed help with totally new furnishings and decor. We discovered the house also needed a new kitchen and baths. We chose The Design Firm to help us with this whole-house project. Elizabeth Frost was assigned to our project and she was a blessing. She picked up immediately on our style and aesthetic, and designed and furnished all of the interior and exterior spaces of the home perfectly. Everything was absolutely stunning and fit well in its environment. The home was built in 1928 and she artfully worked 1928 art deco into the design but with a more modern edge. We are extremely happy with The Design Firm and Elizabeth and will happily call them again if we find the need.

I had a terrific experience with The Design Firm. I worked with Elizabeth Frost on a redesign of a guest bedroom/home office and she designed it in a way that really transformed it into this incredible multi-functional room. Elizabeth is super talented at bringing visions to life. The way she captured exactly how I wanted it to look was very impressive, down to the smallest details. Every step of the process was seamless, and she made sure I was 100% happy with the finished product. This space now looks like a chic hotel suite that I never want to leave, and i have Elizabeth to thank :)

After we bought our new penthouse, we asked three interior designer firms to submit a limited proposal as to how they would transform this empty space into an inviting place to live and highlighting its fabulous views at the same time. The proposal from The Design Firm, presented in a video format, just totally blew our mind! We then took this journey together for the next 10 months. We not only were very impressed with their creativity, professionalism and willingness to incorporate what’s important to us but it was also a total joy to work with them, especially Megan, Caroline and Kara. Despite the tedious nature of getting a house ready to move in, they made it easy and fun for us. Even after we have moved in, they continue to provide timely advice whenever we need it which we appreciate very much. Keep up the good work and create more amazing places for people to live in!

The Design Firm was excellent to work with! Megan and Kara listened to what my husband and I envisioned for our condo and the results were beyond our expectations. They made formal presentations with an artist's concept of each room. They presented us with fabric and paint samples for our approval. We were able to order our furniture and they stored it until we had possession of our unit. The Design Firm's installation was seamless. They were meticulous. We walked in and the unit was ready to be lived in....right down to the beds being made. I would highly recommend The Design Firm!

We have had a wonderful experience working with The Design Firm. We have worked with Mallen since the beginning, and also worked with Megan early on. These designers came up with ideas that are exactly what we wanted without us knowing it. Since we have worked more with Mallen, I will go further when discussing her to say that not only were we impressed with her artistic eye, but also with her ability to understand our tastes, her responsiveness to any communications we sent, and her quick-thinking to work around any issue that came up, as things invariably do in a remodeling project. The house is going to be our dream house and there’s no way we could have don’t it without Mallen and The Design Firm.

What an amazing experience! Never had I anticipated for my kitchen to look the way it did. Such a unique attention to detail and art. We’ve tried looking at many places, but the level at ingenuity at the firm was something else. Very pleased with how everything worked out, definitely will be returning! My wife and I built a new home in Sugar land and had no idea where to start with design and decor. Kara came swooping in and helped us narrow down our style, gave us ideas for each room, and provided excellent renderings and floor-plans.

Creative. Very receptive to my requests for texture and colors. Highly motivated to pull together my desires coupled with their vision. I used them two separate times and plan to use them again. Very professional and personable. I tried different decorators for years and never had the success of getting the results I wanted when I explained what I had in mind until The Design Firm.. They were able to put it together and more. Visitors to my home can't compliment their work enough.

Over 4 yrs ago, Mary Hair was instrumental in out build out to our condo, helping us find a contractor,which we loved, Mary did out bath shower and kitchen design lay out. Helping us pick our room colors, that we constantly get complement to this day!!! The placement of our existing furniture with a few new pieces. We downsized fr a big home to a hi rise due to my late hubby health. Love my condo, thanks again DF.

My experience with The Design Firm was mixed. When I initially visited and explained the scope of the project (bedroom, living room, dining room), they were excited to the point that the owner Kara Wuellner came out and started promising all sorts of wonderful things about the quality and beauty of their work. I started working with designer Rachel Graciamaria, who was helpful and receptive. After signing the contract and providing very detailed explanations of the things we expected/liked, I paid a good $30k worth of advances for furniture deposits and accessories. At this point, they proceeded to start with the dining room and master bedroom, and the results were amazing. I was truly pleased with the decor and the accessories they picked (see pictures). So I trusted them to do the rest of the rooms. At this point, they began with their upselling techniques and wanted to do an additional 2 bedrooms and family room at about a $10k budget per room, obviously exceeding the initial $40-50k budget I set out. I allowed them to do the paint design for the house, the home office, and a bathroom and paid an extra $20k. When all was said and done, the rest of the rooms were not great. They did not follow my directions about the type of furniture I wanted (wood instead of glass/acrylic) and they filled every room to the brim with their overpriced accessories that were completely different to what I asked them to put in. We never saw or heard from the owner again, obviously, as she was probably too busy trying to reel in some more customers. We ended up returning about 80% of their accessories (which luckily we were able to return) but were stuck with most of the low quality furniture. All in all, the service was OK and they do have competent design professionals, but their tactics to secure business, push crappy furniture/accessories, and drop the ball once they've taken your money earns them only 3/5 stars for me.

This company, The Design Firm, and this designer are among the best in the Hoston Metropolitan area.I would recommend them highly!

The Design firm recently did my downstairs floor and it looks incredible. They really understood our Southwestern style and incorporated our existing furniture and art very well. Meghan and her team are so creative! The color and layout turned out beautiful, there is now way I could have done this myself! We ended up going over budget but it was so worth it!

We hired this firm to assist with the interior design work for our lake front home. Thus far our experiences have been superb!! The owners of the firm are extreme helpful and our lead designer Mary Hare is increasingly creative!! We feel so blessed to be associated with such a firm.

Love The Design Firm! They are a professional team that can transform any space. The best part of what they do is the process - it's easy! They come to your home, take pictures and talk to you about what you want. A couple of weeks later they present you with their ideas - this includes drawings, fabrics, pictures and some pieces of what is going to be in the space. Once approved by the client, everything is ordered. The best part of all - it's all delivered and installed in one day! Laura and Kara transformed many spaces in our home and would highly recommend them!

I have worked with the Design Firm several times over the last ten years. They are fantastic professionals that can balance the clients dreams, the budget and the demands of the construction schedule. I have seen them work with clients in new construction and remodeling projects and they create dramatic interiors that the clients love.

I am truly amazed at how beautiful The Design Firm made our house. We did an initial project last year for our entry way, living room, kitchen, sun room, and transitioning our study (which I rarely used) into a music room for our kids. Wow is all I can say. The process was amazing. The result was even better. They started with an interview at our home where they took tons of photos. The next step was a presentation to show my wife and I what they envisioned. They had a few hand drawn, to scale renderings, as well as samplings and photos of the furniture, rugs, and accessories. Great presentation. Once approved, they ordered all the furniture, etc. for delivery. They came one day and put together our house in its entirety. Amazing. My house is beautiful. We are so impressed that we just started an additional project with The Design Firm and cannot wait. It's our master bedroom, and we just did the presentation and we loved it. I have used The Design Firm for two large projects. I cannot over state how great they are! Kara and Rachel worked very closely with me, and they understood exactly what I would like. The first project entailed a complete redo of the entire downstairs. I have a somewhat unique taste with several cathedral geodes, and other display minerals and they were able to incorporate all of my geodes and several old pieces of furniture, which save me a lot of money. The Design Firm is not just a run of the mill furniture store, they transform the entire room from floor to ceiling. They give you advice on wall colors, floor designs, light fixtures, etc. Much of this advice is part of the service, meaning there is no additional charge. Before they start the project, you get to see everything that they want to do, and you know the complete cost. I was so happy with the downstairs, that the following year I had them do the upstairs. Again, I was thrilled. Every time that we come home, there is such a great feeling. I feel like I am in a resort. If we ever move, I will have The Design Firm do the entire house. They are fantastic.
