When we chose Diana Mahoney of The Design Partner, we made the best single decision of our entire renovation. We were struggling to get started. Too many ideas, too many home-reno-shows, too many styles and colors from which to choose. She got us started, she recommended fantastic contractors, and helped us through the process. She works with humor, patience, and a reservoir of knowledge that has given us a new (and much better) house. She recommended many options that I would not have considered that turned out great. Among the many things she helped with, here’s an incomplete list: • Paint throughout the house. Helped us choose the best colors for walls, accent, trim. • New and sorely-needed light fixtures • Entirely new downstairs bathroom (with a beautiful tile walk-in shower) • Helped re-cover dining room chairs • Helped design a bench for our entry • Spent time with us trying to solve some long-time family stumbling blocks, such as a system for our mail. • New counters and cabinet paint and fixtures in all bathrooms • Designed new and improved Kitchen We love Diana; Highly recommended.

We contacted Diana Mahoney (The Design Partner) for help is selecting colors for the exterior of our house as well as the roof. She was professional, met with us often and always returned calls. She was patient with us first-timers and guided us through the process of selecting not only the colors but items such as exterior lighting, house numbers, door mats etc. (all in a range of prices so we could choose what was best for us). We appreciated her attention to detail and how she represented us to contractors to assure work was of highest quality and mistakes were corrected. We are very pleased with the finished product. I would recommend her without reservation.

We needed help selecting new kitchen cabinets, countertops, backsplash, flooring and paint for our entire downstairs after it sustained major water damage. A friend suggested I call Diana, and I’m so glad I took her advice! Diana is easy to work with and is an excellent communicator. The goals were an updated, yet timeless look, reflective of our style, while staying within our insurance budget. Throughout the process she explained how each possible choice would influence the overall look we were seeking. While most of our meetings were planned, she was also available on short notice to answer questions and provide guidance, not just regarding the selections, but also in regards to the whole process. This review is long overdue. The Design Partner truly describes Diana. She helped with our kitchen renovation and more. From choosing flooring to backsplash to countertops and light fixtures, she made the process a lot less painful than I thought it would be. She is definitely an expert and is such a pleasure to work with. I love how she takes my personal style and choices into consideration while giving the best advice on which direction to take. She is very affordable for such a valuable service. Our project turned out really nice because she took my ideas of how I want our project to look like and then used her magic wand and made it look and feel just like how I want it to be, only better. My consultations with her always leave me with a peace of mind in knowing I am making the right design choices. I look forward to doing more projects with her.

I am a boomerang client. We've engaged Diana Mahoney on more than one occasion in the last several years. She is extremely talented and brings a lot of expertise to any design project. Of equal importance, she is a great listener and she wanted to hear our vision. She can do as much or as little and she honors established budgets. She has been known to save us money, too. And she is a lot of fun to work with, too. There is a "refresh project" in 2020 and Diana will partner with us once again.

This is a strong recommendation for the interior design services of Diana Mahoney. We valued her expert advice and counsel regarding the renovation and upgrading of our apartment at University Retirement Community (URC) before our move in March of 2019. Diana has a very good eye for coordinating all the interior aspects of a residence. Diana was easy to work with and was an excellent sounding board for our ideas. She helped us finalize our selection of counter tops, floor coverings and other aspects of the remodel process which was greatly appreciated. She did a terrific job selecting paint colors that blended and complimented the materials chosen for the apartment. She is particularly good at finding out what furnishings will be in each room to ensure that everything works together. We had a lot of artwork to display and Diana designed the master plan for lighting all of our pieces throughout the apartment. Since we were living in San Jose and not always on site, Diana was very helpful in working with URC staff to ensure that the proper renovations were carried out. Although she has a list of vendors and contacts for buying things, she didn’t push purchasing items from them. She was always available via phone, email and meeting with us and her fees were reasonable. We were extremely satisfied with her services.

Diana updated and redecorated a condo that we were putting on the market in Davis, California. She did a beautiful job, she has good contacts to get projects completed, and all while we were not in the area. She is trustworthy and honest and we highly recommend her for your next project

We used Diana to help us with a kitchen and family room refresh that ended up becoming a whole house refresh. It was a great experience, working with Diana. She did a great job helping us select paint color and tile/back splash combinations. She also saved us tons of time finding the right fixtures and getting good prices on appliances. Diana was really creative and gave us many more ideas than we had considered. She was sensitive when we started getting a bit overwhelmed with sticker shock and helped us find the right price points. We have been thrilled with the outcome and love showing it off. I would welcome the opportunity to work with Diana again, and would strongly recommend her to anyone.
