The Design Room

We have worked with Alison from The Design Room on multiple custom home projects. One of the unique things about Alison is that she spends a great deal of time with the customer learning about their 'Story'. Throughout the project, Alison focuses on bringing the homeowner's story to life through design. Our clients, including our Parade of Homes homeowners, have loved the end result!

The Design Room worked with me from start to finish on the overall design, function, finishings and furnishing of my new home. Alison poured over every detail thoughtfully and made sure the house would feel like mine when it was completed. She has passion, vision, and an amazing work ethic. Ali is one of a kind and has made the journey of building a house actually fun. She was able to take my dream house plan and turn it into the home of my dreams. When we decided to do owner builder I knew I needed help making all of the design choices, even with our "long distance relationship" Ali has been there every step of the way. Weekly trips to Southern Utah, countless phone calls, and even more text messages, not once have I felt like the distance was an issue. When I originally told my husband I was going to ask Ali to help us, he was like a lot of the other subcontractors on the job when they hear "designer". It took less than an hour in our first meeting for him to love Ali as much as I already did. When a subcontractor starts to say something about interior designers, he steps in most times before I can, telling them how different Ali is and how awesome she has been. Coming from another contractor that is high praise. Ali definitely has our best interest in mind when it comes to style, function, and costs. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, and I have gained a friendship as well.
