My wife and I tried on our own to give our home an update, but we struggled with all the different decisions of flooring, cabinets, countertops, drapes, light fixtures, furniture, paint, and wall decor. We hired JoAnne Lenart-Weary from The JLW Company and in a few visits she helped us hone in on a theme that fit our tastes and to give our home a complete makeover that we could have never done on our own. Over the holidays, we've had friends over, and we've gotten so many compliments about the new look of our home. We could not be happier, and we would definitely recommend The JLW Company to anyone else looking for guidance on a home remodel.

I have been nothing less than thrilled with all the decorating advice that Joanne and her helpers have given us over the years. The first time we "employed" her it was for nudges to spice up our walls. After our consultation with painting suggestions, then she came back with her class and literally arranged/rearranged our living room. A few years later as we downsized, I had Joanne come and give me decorating ideas including color schemes. She really helps you think outside the box, but yet doesn't go off in a direction that you can't/won/t live with in the long run. Later in our transition, Joanne and her daughter came back to help us rearrange furniture to fit our downsized space. We gave her "carte blanche" to tell us to get rid of anything...but instead she came up with arrangements that permitted us to use what we had (because it was still very new) and only as we were ready to get rid of furniture pieces, then we had suggestions as to how to move forward in purchases. Joanne is upbeat, positive and very knowledgable using many local shops and resources which helps keep costs down. Since we had never used another decorator/designer, I can't speak to her costs with regards to others in her field, BUT we have always been thrilled with our results and felt that any costs incurred were well worth it.

Joann provided us with a lot of her talented work and assistance and inspiration, with interior placement of furniture,Pictures an Rugs for our 1840 home. We were invited to show it in the Waterford Historical Society's tour of homes an Wowed over 200 people. She a helped a team of 4-5 turn this home into a Christmas Dream. This home is beautifully dressed up for the Holidays an after. You can step back in time, an enjoy the beautifully decorated tea cup Christmas tree an Elegant Entrance Chandelier that glistens Merry Christmas or a gorgeous staircase adorn with Christmas foliage an bows. Thru out the home there is a true Elegance of the Country home, which comforts you with wonderful memories of Christmases past. She is truly a wonderful inspirational person to work with an have as a interior decorator and mentor.

She's the fun-loving ‘Sister’ to all who embrace this creative industry. .. and she's a devoted Friend to everyone who's lucky enough to cross her path in life. JoAnne Lenart-Weary 'has your back'. And did I mention that she knows a little bit about Color, too? ; ) Motown may have "The Queen of Soul" .. but the world of Staging, Redesign, and One-Day Decorating has "The Queen of Color". JoAnne is like a 'Curriculum Machine'.. spinning out classes, workshops, and Webinars that are incredibly detailed and invaluable to both the Newbies just starting out as well as the seasoned Decorator who wants to enhance their skills. Her creative energy has no ‘Pause Button’.. The JLW Company has created a whole new look to our entire home, front to back. We were walked through all design decisions from wall colors, hard wood floors and area rugs, artwork, custom draperies, and other window treatments. Wall art decisions and placement of new art and previously owned. A wonderful wall full of family photos exceptionally arranged. Incidental items for decorating shelves, etc., to major furniture purchases with all the fabric decisions, furniture styles. Old and new together. Ceiling lamps, ceiling fans, table lighting. There is much I know I am leaving out. My wife and I can make some good decisions on decorating, however we just can't pull off one room flowing into the next one. Joann makes this happen. Her work is incredible and she does it keeping costs in mind. Joann really listens to you and picks up on what you like and don't like. She also has a gentle way of nudging you into areas that you might feel a little outside your comfort zone. She has done this to us a number of times and not once did we regret it. In fact, we usually are ecstatic after seeing it in place. Joann is a complete professional in every aspect of dealing with her. She is passionate about what she does and works very hard to achieve the best results possible. Joann did our house in 2002 and it was beautiful. I have taken JoAnne's classes and they were amazing. The most recent was the color class and my brain is still boggled by all the new information I got. She has also helped me over the years turn my house into a gorgeous home!!!
