The Painted Home

Denise is one of the most creative people I've ever met! Her ideas are top notch, and her style is unique. She's professional but so personable - great to collaborate with. We initially began working together in a blogger + brand relationship, but that soon expanded to her designing and installing a new area of our showroom to completely refresh our style and make us stand out from the competition. I can't speak highly enough about her, and I look forward to all the projects we'll do in the future. Hire her! :)

I've been working with Denise from The Painted Home for the last couple of months to updated our 15 year old Carriage home, which has some character but is "tired" from our original design vision. Denise is flexible, creative, practical, realistic and budget-conscious! She is a great listener, and as part of our work together, one of her "clients" in our home included my 11 year old daughter and helping to create a hangout loft space for her. Have a look!

Denise is one of the most creative designers we have met. I live in coastal NJ and built my house with her design expertise. I wanted a coastal feel that was elegant, with character. From paint to kitchen design and cabinetry, window treatments to furniture choices, Denise filled my every wish. When she pushes you just out of your comfort zone, trust her- she KNOWS what she is doing. The end result for us was an elegant, coastal cottage feel that we continue to recieve compliments on whenever we recieve guests. Just a dream....

We brought Denise in to help us with a new addition project. She first consulted on the design amd layout of our kitchen. She convinced us to put a painted island in our kitchen to contrast the cherry cabinets. Not only does it look beautiful, but we get many complements on it as well! Denise was instumental in helping us choose our (yet to be completed) backsplash tiles, as well as the paint colors for our new space and the remainder of our first floor living spaces - tying the color choices together. in her words "like an outfit you would wear together." Denise also came up with an inexpensive design and paint scheme for our mudroom, which looks great! She established a collaborative relationship with our contractor, and was readily available to work with us and him. We are thrilled with Denise's professionalism, eye for design and color, and experience! We highly recommend her!

Our new kitchen is a dream come true thanks to Denise! She played an integral part in every decision we made from the floor plan, mudroom design, vintage light fixtures, back splash tile, flooring, countertops, cabinets, and paint! Denise would respond immediately yay or nay to a picture I'd send when making a decision. She even came and helped arrange the furniture and art work in our "great room" and living room when the project was done. We love our new kitchen so much we even enjoy cleaning up after dinner!

Denise has been absolutely amazing in helping me get my house in order before baby. She's a ton of fun to be around AND an outstanding designer!!! I will hire her for EVERYTHING in the future!

Denise came highly recommended to me by my two sisters-in-law who hired her as an interior designer. Hiring Denise has actually SAVED me money. Rooms can easily be transformed for less then 1000. Gone are the days of buying expensive gallons of paint that just doesn't quite look right. Old furniture that I planned to give away has been transformed into some of my most favorite pieces.
