Tania delivered, despite all the bumps in the road (there are always bumps in any projects, if you expect no issues that needs managing, you live in a dream world). The important thing aren't the bumps, it's how Tania managed them. Her expertise in her field and her knowledge of suppliers were key in solving issues that would have otherwise been detrimental. Tania was a smooth operator and wrangled them all and proposed solutions that really saved the day. When Tania commits to a plan, she really does everything in her power (and believe me, she has plenty) to realize it according to what was agreed to. Also, her crew is really helpful, skilled and accomodating. We lived in our house while everything was going on and they took real care to protect our living space and privacy. All in all, Tania became a trusted partner, I truly recommend her to anyone and everyone.

This lady saved my day and is a total game changer. I told her that she was like the brave dog owner who pulled his puppy out of an alligators mouth and saved the frightened best friend. I was once frightened and felt bullied like that while tapping my toes into the renovation swamp with many substandard practitioners. There are just too many incredible things about her and her firm that are rare in the market of interior design and home renovations that are worthy the attention of her potential clients, who is lucky enough to be the next one? TOC met with us at the end of 2020, and our project was completed on time and on budget in April of 2021. What started with a kitchen remodel and ended up doing the entire main floor in open concept. TOC took the time to understand our preferences and was able to deliver the kitchen of our dreams. The 7 week construction process was easy, her team was on time, polite, friendly, clean and did quality work. They were open to our requests mid project and were able to complete on time.

Tania has done a wonderful job re-designing our kitchen, family room and powder room. She listened to our requirements, asked questions to understand our style and needs, made lots of interesting suggestions and then drew a very detailed project for all the spaces involved. The 3-D renderings were very helpful for us to visualize the final design. Tania is very professional, very well organized and her attention to detail and sense of structure is reflected in the plans and the estimates provided at the end. We are very happy with the design and we can't wait for the re-modelling to be completed.

We decided to work with Tania as our interior designer after we bought our first home. We wanted to design it right, the first time! Prior to meeting with Tania, she had us fill out a questionnaire about our needs, desires and style. This made our first meeting very productive and efficient. I had to change parts of the exterior walls of my house due to damage, and could not decide which modern materials to choose from, and what colors and designs would fit esthetically with the pre-existing brick wall. My entrepreneur suggested TOC as a building designer. Within 24 hours, TOC contacted me and we set up a meeting. I'm very satisfied with the suggestions Tania gave me. My husband and I were looking for an interior designer to do some work on a recent purchase. First, I spoke to Tania on the phone and I was immediately impressed by her knowledge, her professionalism and her joie de vivre!! In my experience, talking with other professionals on the phone, they are always rushing to hang up but Tania was such a joy to speak to! SEARCH NO MORE!!! TOC Design is the team you want to maximize your space. When I first started my search on Houzz for a designer, I came across a designer that had a five start review. I made an appointment with her not once but twice. She cancelled on me last minute on both occasions. How discouraging! But then I found TOC Design also rated 5 stars. Tania is the professional you want for any project. She is extremely organized, competent and meticulous. More importantly I was looking for somebody who understood what our needs were. Since we're a young family of 6, I needed to make the most out of my space and Tania did just that! She even had me fill out a questionnaire about our family, lifestyle, my own interests and dislikes and what was most important for our space. Within a few weeks I received professional plans and demolition started right on schedule. We upgraded our main floor (kitchen, den, wood floors, tiles, dinning room, living room, family room) and Tania was constantly in contact with her team and myself. It was simply smooth renovations for eight weeks. A HUGE thank you to TOC Design, Soll Solution and Ivco construction.

Yesterday I met Tania. After weekends spent debating and doing nothing...today we are on our way to thinking differently about our space. We paid Tania her going rate for a consultation (reasonable and well worth it). She came over as promised and got right to it. She is energetic, opinionated (in a good way!), and in the space of two hours she gave us good honest advice, backed up with the confidence of her experience and creativity. She didn't try to sell us anything or talk us into something that is not right for us. This is a true sign of a professional. If you are not sure where to start - hiring Tania and her fresh outlook on your space is well worth it. I thought I could sketch the new layout for our renovation but I am so glad that I did not because Tanya and her team did it a billion times better than I could envision it. We were stunned during the staging, to see on paper is one thing but to have it done is impressive. Tanya is so meticulous and conscientious about details, we are so happy that she did all of that for us. I am particularly impressed by her experience, example, adding a sheet of drywall to increase the width of the wall so that the length of the dresser will not stick out, WOW! Or turning the dining table by 90 degree which provides a total new perspective and allows more space to the dining area, incredible! No doubt about it, she is the best.

I use to have a room that looked like it was design in the Jurassic era. However, Tania did a wonderful job with the redesign. When I enter my room, it makes me feel like royalty.

I had Tania design my house. I had just finished a huge renovation and had trashed all my furniture. She did it all from bringing us options all the way to installing furniture. She started from picking cutlery all the way to installing made to measure bedroom set. My boyfriend and I are terrible with colors so she help with picking color and coordinating art work. She made sure everything was to our liking at all times. She kept in mind that we are huge animal lovers and even made special spaces reserved for our pets within her design. A few years later, we hired her to do all of our landscaping once again with special options, in this case, no grass because of our dogs. It has been 7 years since the landscaping job and everything still looks beautiful. She was always available for questions, took care of all the workers, she met all deadlines and the quality of the work was to our satisfaction. I would hire her again without giving it a second thought.

Tania was great to work with: 100% serious/professional/honest, in particular during our important conference calls. Her design, given our situation (upscale rental vs our own home and returning a large single condo back to its original 2 units) seems both elegant and cost effective. After meeting Tania, I think I expected nothing less, and she didn't disappoint. In addition to the look/expected cost, the design is more complete than anyone can humanly expect/imagine. I met with Tania at her home/office and hired her on the spot and everything promised/deadlines were spot on. I never knew that designs could be so detailed (and I doubt they are with most designers.) I spoke to the contractor earlier today and he's in love with what was handed to him: specs to the nth degree, color coded and pages detailing everything. Nothing was left to his imagination which makes it much easier for him to simply do the work. In addition to the design, complete with renderings so we could see what everything should look like, and the specs, Tania will now take on another role during the construction phase. My wife and I are out of town and we have also hired Tania to purchase all materials (all prices have been given/discussed) help us with anything we need to do from our end (appliances, for example) and act as the "go to" person if there are any unforeseen issues during the construction. I suspect there will be another glowing review when everything is done (around the end of October.) I know this will sound like a fake or a friend writing a review, but it is not. I first met Tania this year and was considering a combination of Home Depot for the kitchen, their designer/contractor for the installation and the rest of the remodel, but threw that option out the window after our meeting. Because of her breath of knowledge about design AND construction, I have to believe she is more valuable than most designers. Finally, note that the approximate project cost given is over $100,000. That is for the entire remodel. Tania's design fee is about 5 or 6% of the job. I suspect she will end up saving us far more than her fee and that the result will look better than anything we would have done on our own. Better and less costly (time and money) is an unbeatable combination! So to say we got lucky meeting/hiring Tania is an understatement. Don't let her great smile or laugh fool you: she is an expert at what she does!

We are very satisfied with the construction of our new bathroom. Dry rot was removed and replaced by double layer of thick plywood. Walls were strengthened to hold new cabinetry and medicine cabinet. Bathroom is functional. Good attention to detail . Looks fantastic.

From the moment we first spoke with Tania, we knew that she was exactly the designer we needed for our kitchen. I found her on Houzz and was attracted to the style of projects I saw, and I initially wanted to consult with her on our colour selections for purchasing an IKEA kitchen, but it did not take long to realize that we would have a much better result if we worked with a professional! Tania is thorough, detail-oriented, punctual and may even be a mind-reader when it comes to delivering exactly what you need! The design process went very quickly, and from an initial consultation at our house, Tania was able to gauge our style and taste & understand our budget. She quickly (6 days) came up with 4 different preliminary options, and we were so impressed. After a one hour phone call, she then came up with option 5. We reviewed and discussed again, and then met at her office for a 3D rendering presentation, and chose colours, tiles, countertop options and explored furniture possibilities. One more in-person meeting a week and a half later, and we were looking at comprehensive and detailed construction plans. The quotes for the job had already been obtained and everything was priced out. It's been a wonderful experience so far, and when the kitchen gets completed (mid-July to mid-August), I will certainly be back with pictures and to review the construction side of the project! It is my sincere pleasure to write this letter of support for Tania and TOCDesign. My wife and I have now worked with Tania for nearly two years, and Tania has completed a full re-development of a walk-out basement floor, and she has just recently completed our kitchen. My wife and I moved to Montreal a few years ago. Unashamed homebodies, we purchased a fixer-upper with the hopes of building a space that we could enjoy as a family. As we got to know people, we were shocked to hear of the manifold problems our neighbours and new friends had suffered trying to finish home-reno projects here. Our decision to get a fixer-upper didn’t seem clever in this light. We took our time, looked at several designers, and chose Tania based on her clean and innovative yet somehow classical designs. Tania took an unfinished basement and turned it into a bedroom, family room, bathroom, second kitchen, and abundant storage space. This floor feels bigger after Tania divided it than when it was completely open. We are proud to have visitors come stay with us knowing they have a wonderful place to stay, and while the room is on a basement level, the room does not feel like it is in a basement. In case I forget to mention it again, Tania is extremely good with lighting (something I don’t think I thought about before these projects, but appreciate now on a daily basis). Like all homeowners, my wife and I (I think it would be reasonable to say particularly my wife) have our own aesthetic tastes, and Tania did an excellent job of getting a sense of what we were looking for. There were two instances where we differed, and in both cases Tania ended up persuading us to move a little outside of our comfort zone. In both cases I am sincerely glad we deferred (she’s the designer! this is what she does!). The project was completed on schedule and on-budget. A entire floor re-done we couldn’t wait for Tania to transform our kitchen. We have three small children and lots of family in the city and we love to cook. The project was completed in 5 weeks, on schedule, and on-budget. Tania has given us a kitchen in which it is a joy to cook. I have cooked more since the kitchen was finished (6 weeks ago), than in the two preceding years. Now here’s the real testament to Tania’s work - while the kitchen was being done my wife and I still needed a place to cook and eat. No need for six weeks of take-out - we just used the second kitchen Tania had built into the basement. Now we used this kitchen for five weeks straight during a Montreal winter - not a single problem. The second kitchen isn’t big, but it’s extremely well designed (all Tania), and because of that it is actually functional. I e-mailed Tania on a cozy Sunday morning after making breakfast for the team to let her know what an amazing job she had done in the design of the basement. I could go on just as long about the kitchen. I think Tania will be putting up pictures on this site, and I believe they will do the room better justice than my rambling. Pay attention to the lighting! Working with Tania is the dream that home renovation should be. You will be glad you chose to work with her. Having moved into a house straight out of the 80's, we wanted to modernize it while maintaining its charm. We decided to work with TOC design and were very happy with the work. Tania is professional, well prepared and works with what you have to ensure you get the most from your investment. Furthermore she takes her time, is very detail oriented, passionate and is good at what she does.

Her team renovated a dated and cramped 1980s kitchen and separate dining room opening up the space and transforming a poky ground floor into a light, bright and highly functional kitchen, sun-room and dining room with a real wow factor. Tania has assembled a team of professionals including specialists (mill-workers, quartz counter cutters and installers and blind suppliers) all of the highest quality. The team were extremely professional, with a real pride in the work they do, overcoming all the problems of old houses (plaster walls that are neither flat not straight, structural problems, wiring and plumbing eccentricities) and ensuring everything was to code (and far above). They completed the work on time and even slightly under budget. Every item was invoiced and recorded down to the last light bulb, switch, and door nob as well as every hour worked by each employee and when. We are extremely happy with the finished product. We did not have to live here through the upheaval, but were kept completely informed by skype all the way through, and our adjoining neighbor was really happy that they did not have to endure noise at all hours or indeed barely ever, and there was no mess. You could not be in better hands with TOC. Tania is an exceptional designer and project manager, extremely attentive to the client's interests and concerns (such as cost, needs and preferences), demanding of her workers, but respected by them. Her team are wonderful professionals, who do work of exceptional quality. The finish and attention to detail is particularly striking (glazing on the plaster walls, magnificent paint work, the edging on the mill-work and the counter-top), but the thing that impressed me most is that each and everyone of them takes the utmost pride and joy in what they do.

New wood flooring on 80% of the house. All new moldings . Office totally redesigned. Additions in the kitchen. new doors and window to the balcony. Great work, the house looks brand new . This huge project was finished within less than 5 weeks. attention to detail in all components.

I had been given Tania's name as a reference, from a good friend of mine, to assist me in renovating a condo I just purchased. My first meeting with her went far beyond my original expectations. She not only provided me with excellent renovation advice, but had gone so far as to provide me with contact names for paint, furniture, mouldings, flooring, window coverings, etc... while at the same time being respectful of my budget. She has an excellent ability to determine what style a person will like and then build a plan around that style. Tania did a great job on our house. This was a big job and everything came together ever better than we had hoped. Furthermore, the work was on-time and under-budget! We couldn't have asked for more. Tania is a creative designer bursting with ideas. She transformed my house interior to just they way I wanted it. She was able to give my husband detailed drawings of the required woodworking so it was a simple task for him to turn the vision into reality. We bought a 100 year old house that needed a lot of love. After many years of renovating and designing ourselves, we met Tania. She changed our lives in more ways that she would admit to. The kitchen and dining room of my newly bought old house had been untouched for 60 years. After a few months I knew approximately which wall I would put down, and how people should circulate, but that is about it. TOC accepted the challenge of designing those two rooms. Tania proposed three initial very different floor plans. After I choose one, she prepared an extremely detailed design plan, including a cost estimate, that matched my criteria: more light, better circulation, storage in drawers... under a limited budget. It was extremely reassuring for me that Tania kindly explained why some of the ideas I had were not that great. I felt I could trust her. The contract was also very clear and there were no hidden costs. I am not yet at the building phase, but the list for constructions material (e.g. numbers of recessed lights, electrical boxes, square foot of plywoods and hardwood...) and the plan is so clear that I feel confident going forward. Having TOC in the process was essential.

I contacted TOC to "stage" my condo prior to selling. I was very impressed with their presentation and decided to hire them. It was the best thing I did to improve the prospects of selling my unit. It was like one stop shopping. TOC explained very well how they would re-arrange my furniture, buy some new accents, and greatly enhance the look. Well, they did not disappoint. TOC design was hired to consult and design plans for our new Kitchen ,Powder & Laundry Room. Tania did a great job with all the details (concept, tiles, backsplash, colors etc.) but especially the lighting plan.
