We made an excellent decision when we hired TIDG to remodel our 100+ year-old house.
Originally, we approached TIDG to renovate the main floor. We liked the layout of the house and wanted to maintain as many original details as possible, such as ceiling medallions, dark stained baseboards, and light fixtures. Because we have a significant collection of antiques, including gramophones, radios and clocks, we envisioned a décor inspired by the 1920s and 1930s for the living and dining rooms. The kitchen needed a complete remodel. We wanted a fun space with lots of colours, textures and patterns that maximizes prep and storage space and is easy to keep clean.
During the planning process it became clear that we would need to move out of the house, and we didn’t like the prospect of doing it again in the next few years to address issues on the other floors, like removing knobs and tubes, replacing old plaster and windows, and adding a second bathroom in the basement. Suddenly, the scope of the project pretty much doubled.
Working with Yanic and Jaclyn was a blast. They have impeccable taste, pay attention to every detail and are excellent project managers. They also kept a close eye on the schedule, and managed to limit delays related to late adds-on to the project. And, very importantly, they never over-promise and under-deliver.
Thanks to their expertise and savoir-faire, they made the whole experience as painless and stress-free as possible. And, the end result is above and beyond what we originally envisioned.

We knew that we wanted to completely re-design the guest and master bathrooms in our condominium unit, but we were a bit lost on what specific finishes we wanted, what colours and textures would work, and how to tie it all together with lighting. Our project was a big investment for us and we wanted to get it right.
Upon the recommendation of our contractor (with whom we have used for other big and small renovations projects in our home), we decided to retain TIDG. To be honest, I was a bit intimidated to approach a high end design firm such as TIDG, but we found Yanic and his team to be very grounded and professional. To my mind, the final results are stunning. The ideas that we were presented with were things we never would have arrived at on our own - and even if we did land on those ideas, we likely would not have had the confidence to follow through on them.
The quality of the materials and the environmentally sensitive fixtures and finishing selected by TIDG are as thoughtful as they are beautiful. The outcome completely suits our design ethos and our lifestyle.
I have no hesitation recommending Yanic and his team (Jaclyn was a delight to work with throughout the project).
