I have used Tracy's services for 3 projects over the past couple years - a minor renovation and set up (paint, furniture choices and layouts) of my daughter's downtown condo, a minor bathroom and kitchen refresh and a complete refresh of our cabin. I was thrilled with the results of all three projects. Our daughter loves what Tracy did for her condo. Our cabin is a joy to walk into every time with it's refreshed look. Tracy listened to and used her experience to meet our constraints, requirements, wishes and budgets. She has an excellent eye for color, design and detail and uses pattern, colour, texture and visual contrast to pull everything together. Tracy did a fantastic job of redesigning our kitchen within our budget! Our kitchen is in an awkward space with no options for expansion, but Tracy created a layout that transformed it into a highly functional, warm, and inviting kitchen that I love to cook and entertain in! Tracy took the time to understand us - presenting several unique layout options. Ultimately, she ensured the space reflects our family and our style. She even encouraged us to retain the existing backsplash, telling us it still looked great and suited us too well to take out. I appreciated the budget and environmental benefits of that. Tracy worked with us through a very stressful restoration/renovation process after our house suffered major flood damage due to a plumbing failure. Post flood we needed to replace every surface and fixture in our home. Tracy worked with us to understand our aesthetic and then brought design ideas and samples for us to choose from that worked within our insurance budget and tight restoration timeline. The end result is a beautiful, cohesive design throughout our home. Tracy was very professional in working with our insurance contractor and his trades people to ensure that the restoration was completed to her design spec and standard. Tracy has worked with us on two major home renovations in the last 6 years; one on our house in Calgary and the other on our house in Quebec. One is more traditional and the other one is very contemporary. On both occasions, she guided us in a very professional way to create the environment we were looking for. Her expertise and creativity kept us focused and she was available whenever we needed her advice. Working with Mrs. Topham from the beginning to the end of those extensive projects saved us a considerable amount of time and money by ensuring we were making the right decisions, from choosing quality building materials and appropriate furniture. Tracy has been our interior designer for the past several years, guiding us through a major exterior and interior renovation. She helped us update the outside of our 1950s three level split home, choosing new exterior materials and colours and window frame colour and designing a beautiful new front door. We have had many compliments from friends and strangers alike who remark that our house really stands out on the street. In our interior renovation, Tracy re-designed our main floor and bathrooms, adding unique features and beautiful materials that not only stand out because they are beautiful, but appeal to our environmentally friendly nature. And the kitchen and dining rooms are so much more functional now that we love cooking and entertaining. Her hard work and unique ideas has resulted in a home that we love. We talked to Tracy after having an unsatisfactory relationship with another designer. We have an open concept bungalow and wanted to open it up further, remove the dining room, enlarge the kitchen, make the mudroom/laundry more functional, and replace all the floors and trims in our home. Although we had some ideas about what we wanted, Tracy took our thoughts and transformed them into an incredible design. She worked well with our contractor and his trades, and we didn't hesitate to leave the project in her hands when we went on vacation. She included items that are unusual in residential projects and these finishes make our home interesting. Tracy helped with the finishing accessories and showed us that these things don't have to cost a lot of money. Thanks to Tracy we have a comfortable, functional and unique living space. She has the ability to make ideas reality and we all had a lot of fun during the process. I will definitely retain her services in the future -- the bathrooms need some jazzing up!
