Deri listened and successfully incorporated our design ideas and needs into the design of our home.. we went to her knowing we needed a mediator to our different style likes to make the house a home. First of all a BIG thank you to Deri and all her team for transforming our ideas into reality. We are delighted with the way everything has come together. Starting from scratch, a new empty house, our home has become comfortable, warm and inviting. Throughout the process, definitely slowed by restrictions from Coronavirus, Deri could not have been more helpful and obliging. Deri unfailingly produced everything we asked for.

This was my first time consulting assistance from an interior designer. I had no idea how to begin the process or what to expect., Deri was very pleasant and so welcoming from our first phone call, I knew I would love to work with her. I knew what I wanted in my head but just didn't know how to put them together. Deri listened to my wants and was able to give me clarity and a vision of what I wanted. During the consultation at my home, I wanted several rooms decorated. I appreciated the fact that Deri suggested that we focus on one room at a time. She stated that she did not want me to spend unnecessary money and recommended that we start with the master bedroom. I appreciated her honesty and she knew I was on a budget. We picked out a color for an accent wall and decided to use a textured wallpaper. Deri is truly a visionary and she was able to take items that I already had in my home and incorporate them with the new. The end result? Fabulous! My bedroom was transformed into a cozy, warm and serine space. I also had the opportunity to speak with Krist several times on the phone when coordinating times with Deri. Krist was so helpful and patient with me during those phone calls and always had something positive and encouraging to share with me. I love these two women and can't wait to start my next project! We had Deri design the downstairs of our home. She presented us with numerous options and made many suggestions that were in line with the overall design concept that we were trying to create. She was great at making contemporary and timeless suggestions but most importantly she was mindful of remaining within our established budget. My wife and I searched for a home for over three years. Once we found a house that we both loved, then we were met with the challenge of remodeling. Of all the homes we visited, not one of the newer models met our expectations. So, we settled on an older home because of the space it afforded and it’s character. After a month of painting, furnishing, and coordinating, it was time to see what the outcome was. When we entered the home, we were truly amazed at the level of detail that went into remodeling our home. Deri turned our home into a retreat and a space that we could not only be proud of but one that we could enjoy with our family and friends. Brilliant. Deri is the best designer I have ever worked with and I have worked with several. She has an natural ability to really quickly understand your style and create an amazing look that reflects your style rather than hers. So creative in how she is able to pull a room together. And equally as important sticks to a budget. Below were some pics of the first two rooms. We have moved on to others now. Our family has been truly blessed to meet Deri, and her team. I felt an immediate connection to her when she came to our home to do a consult. I have always felt hesitant to hire an interior designer due to costs, and the fear of it not turning out as good as I hoped. We were moving into a new, custom-built home and wanted to start with a clean slate for our lower level and master bedroom. Deri brought our vision to life! She understood our taste and our goals. Deri is awesome at what she does and has a great eye!! She managed several projects in my home including painting of several rooms, master bedroom redesign, kitchen counter and backsplash selection, family room update, dining room update and updates in kids' bedrooms including closet re-organization. Deri works with amazing, professional contractors and stays within budget. At the completion of my project, I still had funds remaining. She will work with either a clean slate or design around pieces you have which is greatly appreciated. I highly recommend Tranquil Designs and Deri Washington! I found Deri’s website online while looking to hire someone for a color consultation in order to help select paint colors for the entire interior of my home. I was waiting on a new roof to be installed and I had new windows on order and that would need to be installed. Deri, was so very patient with me throughout the entire process. She had great suggestions during the color consultation. She really listened to everything I was trying to accomplish and the final result is awesome. The painters she recommended provided a fair price and were very nice to work with throughout the whole process. Deri was involved in the whole process and definitely went above and beyond and provided exceptional service. I will definitely utilize her services in the future.

We bought house and desired to turn it into a lovely home. Deri was the first interior designer I contacted and after our first meeting I knew she was the right person to help us create our home. I wanted the home to focus on my two children and their rooms was most important to me. My daughter quickly developed a wonderful relationship with Deri and we couldn't be more happy with her room. Der's ability to capture what her clients desire is a rare gift. My son selected Star Wars room and he was mesmerized when he first walked into his room. The rest of the rooms--master bedroom, living room, and reading room and dinner room were left for Deri touring to life. I find myself too busy to be involved in making any selection for the rooms. I'm very happy with my master bedroom, living room and dining room. My favorite place is the reading/office. I love the ambiance in the house. Very relaxing and we utilize every space. Dramatic transformation! My husband and I hired Deri and her team to help us update the first floor of our home, (dining area, living room and designing a home office). The change is amazing! Working with the Deri and Jesse was a pleasure. They didn’t come in with a predetermined design, rather they openly sought our input and collaborated with us throughout the entire project. We will update the second floor of our home next year and no doubt Deri will be the first and only person we contact!
