Have loved working with Tricia and her crew! Her store is fabulous. She has provided all my needs and a whole lot of wants! Love her taste and love working with her! She's a hoot!

I worked with Tracy Waight at High Cotton to help with window design. Tracy was wonderful!! She was on time for her appointment and answered all my questions promptly. Tracy came with a great selection of fabrics to work with in the room. She has an eye for what works in a room to enhance it. I couldn't be more pleased with the fabric and the results. It was the icing on the cake that my room needed. I would highly recommend Tracy to help with your decorating needs.

Last year we purchased our beach house in Port Aransas. We were excited and eager to decorate the home right away! With two small children, I knew I'd need some assistance! After talking with several people in the neighborhood (and meeting Tricia), we quickly realized she would be a great fit for our family. Tricia made the decorating process fun and exciting! She helps you stay within your budget, without sacrificing the homes style. She also knew it was important for me to stay involved in the process. She would send me pictures of items to give me choices, which helped make me feel like I was apart of the design. We were very happy with the end result and even had her help with our home in San Antonio later in the year. I'll never forget walking through the beach house with our family, and seeing the final product! I was blown away, everything looked so beautiful. She took care of every detail, all we had to do was bring a few items from home! Thankful for her help and hard work!

The kids and I moved into our new home a year ago, so it was a blank canvas and I was totally excited about decorating. However, I quickly found out that I had very little time to give it the attention neeeded and deserved in order to be the wonderfully peaceful abode that I envisioned. So we lived in a home full of beige walls (and ceilings), all one color and my bedroom resembled that of a bachelor's. However again, being a single working mom, I had very little time to put into decorating. Literally I prayed to God to help me find a decorator (isn't that a silly prayer)! Well not silly at all, because before I knew it, the kids and I were staying at the cutest and most inspiring condo at Port A. I fell in love with the Shabby Chic, Texas and "Beachy" vibe the place oozed. I thought to myself, now this is the type of decor we need at home (had no clue that the condo owner was the "decorator"). So I sat down one morning to have a cup of coffee, picked up the guest book and realized that the condo owner was the "decorator". I thought to myself - God, man you are good! So I called Tricia, asked if she was taking new clients (was ready to beg, if I needed to) and thankfully she said "yes". She asked me about my budget, came by the house and she got a feel of what I wanted to do. I remembered her saying, "she does her best work, when she is turned loose". So I knew this was a good partnership, because I certainly did not have the time to pick out things for the house. Plus there was something about Tricia that I trusted. I knew that she would take this job as serious as any others. We picked a date to have the job finished, which I thought "right, no way we can get everything done by then" (it was ~3 weeks out). So the painter were in and out within four days, whole home's interior completely repainted. She told me to leave the key under the mat on Monday morning, as I go off to work. This was "the day"! :) When the kids and I got home that evening, it was like OMGosh! We walked into our home so slowly and in complete AWE! My son (3 years old) stood outside of the door and just looked in. It was completely different, a totally different home that we left that morning (just 8 hours prior). Everything was perfect from the entry way decor, to my daughter's "big girl" room, the kitchen nook (OMGosh so shabby chic cute) to my heavenly, amazingly sweet bedroom. I cried, literally I cried (and I am not a crier!) The presentation of everything, every room, was like it took days (maybe months) to put together. No way, one day (shopping not included in this day of course)! It was like a decorating pixie graced our home and made it so much for lovely. Somewhere on her website, she talks about a home should be a "soft place to land" at the end of each day. And man, she nailed it here! I walk into our home each day after work and school, leave my worldly cares outside on the doorstep and walk into our "soft place to land, home." Thank you Tricia! You are amazing.

It takes a unique combination of skills and talent to be a great interior decorator, and Tricia has them all. She works closely with her clients, architects and contractors to provide ideas and elements that are functional, beautiful and on budget. And she's clever. She has an artist's eye, a Midwesterner's practicality, a casual-yet-elegant style all her own, and she's not afraid to hit the antique's auction to find you that special piece that pulls everything together. You will not get cookie cutter designs and decorations with Tricia. You will get heartfelt inspiration, careful attention to detail, and a style that matches your own personality. And you will have fun doing it! I cannot recommend her enough. Buck Mckinney

My name is Rob Grant and my family recently purchased a Beach Property in Port Aransas. The house was brand new and in need of all the furnishings. Because we are using this place as an upscale rental property we wanted to be sure and decorate it accordingly. After several conversations with other Interior Designers we decided to go with Dabney Designs. Tricia's ideas met our request and her willingness to show us what she was making profit wise on every item made us condfident we would get the best Bang for our Buck. Most designers gave us a flat quote with no indication of the value of any of the items to be purchased. For all we knew everything would have been purchased from IKEA. Nothing against IKEA, but that was not the look or quality we wanted. This was not so with Tricia. We knew upfront what her rate was and how much she would make off of every item. All the furniture is great quality and looks terrific. The above reasons alone would have made us happy customers, but you could really tell Tricia likes what she does. She paid extreme detail to every item. From the Hiding of the cable boxes out of site to the silverware and art work. She even put a receipt book together for us showing us every receipt and telling us which room the item was in. For rental property owners this was nice and convenient. We totally turned everything over to Tricia and she met the challenge with flying colors. I would have no problem recommending Dabney Designs to any of my friends or family members.

When we bought our beautiful island home there was only one designer we wanted to take on our interior design project and that was Tricia Dabney. Her design reputation exceeds her! Tricia not only has a keen eye for design, she is cost conscience without sacrificing quality. We gave Tricia design liberties with our home - wanting her to "just surprise us" and she didn't disappoint! Decorating our home in keeping with the relaxing elegant furnishings. She decorated our teenage daughter's room with a beachy, fun, funky theme which our daughter just loves to show off to her friends! Upon entering our home, it has that "wow" factor that we were looking for in a designer. We couldn't be more pleased! Ray and Dana Schimcek Port Aransas, TX

We have used Tricia Dabney on two different projects...one a beach house in Cinnamon Shore on Mustang Island and, most recently, an updating project for a family member's home in Plano, Texas (Dallas Remodel). Tricia really listened to our ideas and created beautiful homes far exceeding our expectations! She's creative and fun to work with, and brought both projects in below budget. At our beach house, she not only furnished it but provided linens, towels, soap dispensers, waste baskets...essentially everything we needed to just move in and start enjoying. Her designs are warm and inviting yet casually elegant at the same time. We loved working with her and would not hesitate to use her services again. We highly recommend her to anyone wishing to redecorate or decorate for the first time. Tom and Linda McCloskey

When we built our new Central Texas home Trivia Dabney came highly recommended as someone we could rely on for both her design skills and her professionalism. We are so glad that we took that recommendation. Tricia guided us in the selection of materials and window hardware. We are thrilled with how her projects all turned out. Moreover, Tricia was a pleasure to work with. She listened closely to our description of what we wanted and then helped us to achieve our goals. She made excellent suggestions that were home. And she stands behind her work, 100 percent. One lovely outgrowth of our professional relationship with Tricia is that we now regard her as a friend. Every aspect of having Tricia working with us on our home has been positive. We recommend her with absolute confidence to anyone looking for creative design assistance.
