I have worked with Cheryl for over 4 years on several projects that have included indoor and outdoor kitchens, baths and outdoor showers. Cheryl is very creative in her designs and the products she uses. She has the ability to turn any room or area into an oasis because of her innovative designs and her attention to details. Cheryl has led several projects in our home. Most recently we installed a Mitsubishi split heating and cooling system throughout. The home did not have an existing system or duct work so this on demand system by room was a perfect solution. We also took the opportunity to improve the insulation in our attic and added safe walkways and areas for storage. The final piece included the details and information needed for all eligible rebates. Cheryl has excellent creative vision and integrates that with exceptional operational and project management skills to execute with efficiency. She sets high standards with all of the contractors and teams she works with. She ensures they are properly set up each day and reviews their progress throughout the day as needed. No project is complete until every aspect is inspected and every last remnant of project dust is cleaned up.

Cheryl plowed through a huge exterior renovation in 6 months- insane amount of concrete poured, new roof, house painted, landscaping including irrigation and lighting. No way could I have brought the best contractors together at the speed and quality. Hiring Cheryl will make your life easy!

We hired Cheryl for remodeling our retirement home in Sonoma county . She designed a beautiful mid modern century interior, worked on landscapes, picked furnishings for us . She also designed pool and its surroundings. Because we lived out of state during the project , she managed all contractors as well. It was pleasure to work with Cheryl , her advice was always right on target and finished work was impeccable. We would highly recommend Cheryl for any house building or remodeling projects.

We worked with Cheryl to build an ad hoc office space with a half bath in our backyard. From the start, Cheryl has been a dream. She guided us with a vision of what the space could be and then moved us through the various stages. There were multiple complications related to setback requirements, permitting, and electric panel upgrades, and Cheryl led the way to solutions, navigating the conversations with the city, utility, and contractors/subcontractors. Her enthusiasm and expertise are incredibly valuable and appreciated. Without Cheryl, we likely would not have gotten this project done and certainly would not have had such a good experience. She took away the stress, tackled any issues and actions, and helped us feel supported and heard. In addition, she was mindful of our budget, timeline, and design needs. Now we are thoroughly enjoying the space to work remotely, host guests, and feel just a little less cramped in our own home. Great Design Sense Combined With Superior Project Management! We own a furniture store and posess in-house design skills. However, certain projects have too many variables to juggle, and we wanted more expertiese than we bring to the table. We were gutting our primary living space/kitchen. We had picked out a (pretty wild!) granite slab as the centerpiece of a kitchen island. There were WAY TOO MANY surfaces to coordinate (cabinetry color(s), wall color, countertops, flooring, lighting, backsplash, appliances, etc. We wanted a HOME RUN, so we called Cheryl. She delivered. Even though we had already selected a GC, Cheryl took the reigns of the project so I didnt have to, and kept the schedule moving along, and ensuring the subs had what they needed when they needed it. A project like ours had a zilliion little details, Cheryl managed all of them. I had very definite ideas what we wanted, Cheryl told me 'No' when appropriate (she saves me from myself!), but mostly made our dream kitchen happen within the constraints of the not-large-enough space. Every detail is magnificaent, right down to the disappearing workstations adjacent to the prep areas. Integrated refrigerators & appliances, a custom vent hood, and a faucet that Wows everyone that sees it, every cabinetry bell-and-whistle is in our caabinetry, right down to pull-down easy-acccess upper shelving and pull-out concealed stepstools (only take up 1" of space in the base cabinet!) for the vertically challenged!

Cheryl helped us to update a previously quickly converted garage into a beautiful retreat for our kids with custom built-in bunks, the addition of a lovely bathroom, new flooring, skylights, and some clever teen-appropriate details. Cheryl was very transparent with her communication, was both clear with her design perspective while inclusive of our input, and respected our budget from start to finish. She leveraged her network to bring in a great contractor and managed the process with him to the last detail. We’re very happy with the result!

Cheryl is very dedicated to her clients and they come first on every project...She is very detail orientated and puts her clients wants front & center of every job. We have been working with Cheryl on a multi structure home project in Sonoma, CA. My favorite part is the party barn containing our bar and entertaining area, Cheryl has listened well to what I am looking for and has created a truly functional and unique space. We hired Tuck-Bernstein Design to design a wine cellar and cabinetry for our extensive collection. The entire project was created out of a combination of walnut and African wood. The contracting team she hired was wonderful. Plus we did an amazing sound system in the space.They delivered the project on time. I hired Tuck-Bernstein Design when I moved from New York to Los Angeles. Cheryl did layouts for our 2 bedroom apartment which included furnishing the entire space: great room, dining room, kitchen and 2 large bedrooms. The process was easy – Cheryl did a full design scheme for us (paint colors, furnishings, fabric schemes and lighting). Enjoyed the process, stayed on budget and I would hire them again in the future.

Loved having Cheryl design my brand new chef’s kitchen. She recommended and worked with a lot of local suppliers including Heath tile for the counter-to-ceiling backsplash which makes a huge statement as guests arrive. We used top of the line appliances where it counted (stove, convection oven, hood) and open shelving – which I absolutely love; the shelves are thick and painted neutral in style. The island is large and was done in a contrasting color; she combined a thick, granite slab with a dark stained walnut finish. The entire room is very approachable – our friends love hanging out at the island while we cook.

We were introduced to Ayesha by our realtor for our kitchen remodeling and bathroom extension. The work she and Katie provided to us was superb and we are very grateful. While we had limited space, we had dreams/requests that were difficult to incorporate. They gave us multiple good ideas/plans and we worked together: they listened our wishes and tried hard to make them come true. We cannot be happier with the outcomes of both kitchen and bathroom: they are functional and beautiful. Ayesha has a great sense and ideas of functionality and beauty. I hired Tb Design o help clarify my vision for the living room of my home and complete the design. Cheryl understood my vision and need to include family heirlooms in the design. She worked timely and expertly to finish a room that flows seamlessly with the rest of my home. I am especially pleased with the cabinet she designed for that room. After a kitchen pipe burst in the middle of the night causing excessive damage which resulted in my entire kitchen needing to be gutted, I was in need of an interior designer who could help me redesign not only my kitchen but dining area as well. Cheryl walked in and immediately made several suggestions that had me excited at the prospect of taking on this massive project. She blended what I needed with a creative and imaginative approach that resulted in a kitchen and dining room I love. We were so pleased with the end result that she is now working with us on redesigning the living room and media room. Love her energy and creativity.

Cheryl decorated my 2 bedroom apartment. It was literally done in 1 day ...while I was at work. I came home to a brand new place. Cheryl used everything I had but in a brand new way which looks amazing. Could never have done it myself. I can't say enough great things about my experience with Tuck-Bernstein Design. I live in a 1920's tudor home and I needed help keeping with the design and Cheryl hit the nail on the head. We did both my living room and dining room and while keeping with the style of the house it is also timeless. I could not have asked for a better designer. All my thanks goes to Cheryl. She knew how easily get overwhelmed with all the choices but she made this experience such a pleasure and pointed out things I would never have thought of. I would have her do my whole house if I could.

Cheryl listens. My husband and I are diametrically opposed customers: I'm completely hands-off and he's involved in every minute detail and Cheryl was able to listen to both of us, work with my husband on every detail (to his satisfaction) and come up with a result that was the best combination for us. We have consulted with Tuck-Bernstein Design since we bought our home and have made several modifications, including the repainting of our entire home, addition of a bed/bath, complete redesign of our living room, including the addition of a fireplace, and redesign of a loft into a luxurious office. All of the design work was done back in their NY office with trips to Arizona as needed. We reviewed paint selections, fabrics and furniture plus Tuck-Bernstein Design interviewed/hired all of our local contractors in order to do the necessary construction. Our projected included the demolition, construction, audio/upgrading all of our electrical needs, painting the entire home and full-home installation of all of our custom upholstered furniture, drapery/window treatments, custom lighting, enormous wall art, accessories and adding all of the “bells & whistles” to each room to create a home away from home environment. The results were beyond our wildest dreams. Tuck-Bernstein Design created a house that is warm and inviting. Their attention to detail was amazing. They were a pleasure to work with on our home. Cheryl and her team delivered. •First trip to the house was to listen to our needs, wants, and desires. It was also to determine project scope and measure every area of the house so they could do the design work back in NY. We reviewed paint selections, fabrics, and furniture plus Tuck-Bernstein Design interviewed/hired all of our local contractors in order to do the necessary construction. •Second trip included spearheading / supervising all work that was to be done over a 3-day period. This included the demolition / creation of a guest bedroom, rewiring the entire house for audio, upgrading all of our electrical needs, and painting the entire home. •Third and final trip was the full-home installation. This included the installation of all of our custom upholstered furniture, drapery/window treatments, custom lighting, enormous wall art, accessories and customizing every detail in each room. When we finally got to see the results, it was beyond our wildest dreams -- “spectacular!” Tuck-Bernstein Design created a house that was warm and inviting. Their attention to detail was amazing. The beautiful Shakuff fixture which hangs over our kitchen table is truly a work of art in itself. There was an unusual steer head that we insisted on keeping that they incorporated as part of a beautiful focal wall. They took our empty shell of a house and accomplished our dream home. Cheryl did an awesome job decorating my house. I moved into a beach house with limited space and white ceramic tiles. I moved from a house twice the size with heavy, gold-toned, ornate Mediterrean furniture. Cheryl used dramatic paint colors to mix the eclectic array of things I had. What started as a short-term living environment became the house my children felt most comfortable living in. Each room was perfectly balanced, despite the odd array of things I wanted to "make work". She helped me transform a white box into a warm, updated, cohesive enclave of special treasures. Cheryl and Sue are a working Mom’s dream! I am a Mom to 2 teenage boys and work full time in NYC. My very busy schedule leaves me very little time to do anything, including updating my house, which was in desperate need for a makeover. My home makeover project started with Cheryl asking me preferences about my style, and color and material preferences. Within a few days, Cheryl came to my office with a suitcase full of samples, and pictures with furniture options, which she and Sue had put together based on my preferences. Cheryl laid out all of the samples, and we went over the options. Cheryl is so knowledgeable and was so in tune with my preferences, that picking out the materials for my house was fun and exciting! Within a few weeks, Sue contacted me to let me know the materials came in, and we set up an appointment for the makeover to take place. I was actually working the day that Cheryl & Sue did the makeover, and I couldn’t wait to get home to see the changes. My sons got home before I did, and they called me to say how GREAT everything looked, and that I would love it! When I finally got home and walked into my house, I was beyond THRILLED!! My house finally looked like a HOME - very warm and inviting!! You would never know that a total makeover was completed in one day as the house was spotless!
