We hired Susan Tusick to design and over see a complete remodel of our home. She was very polite, respectful and open to our needs and desires. Susan suggested that we install an elevator and also to make the doorways assessable to wheelchairs or walkers in the event one of us would need assistance in the future. At first we thought that wasn't necessary but a few years later proved invaluable to assist our aging parents.

We contracted Susan Tusick (Tusick & Associates Architects) to plan and design a comprehensive renovation/addition to our existing house structure ( a front porch covered entrance addition with new stairs/rails, new driveway, new roof, new garage doors, new exterior complete house painting/trim), prepare documentation for the scope and scale of the project for the necessary Borough building permits, recommend proper materials and prime/sub-contractors once we approved her plans, and oversee the major project over a several year period.. She worked with us in a complete and professional manner, as well as with the prime/sub-contractors from the start to the finish of the project. Her professional rates were very fair and reasonable, as regards her expertise and management of the entire project. But most significantly, when a matter of unsuitable material construction damage (prime contractor's responsibility) happened in 2015, Susan stepped back into the project to verify and confirm the proper correction responsibility of contractor. She did not hesitate at all to fulfill her professional duties and represent our best interests as the client/homeowners by interceding with the prime contractor until the damage was completely repaired. We would recommend Susan to anyone who is in need of a most talented, 100% honest, fully committed, completely trusted, and absolutely thorough design and architectural professional.

We found working with Susan Tusick, the principal, easy and fun. She has a long standing working relationships with good local builders (we ultimately selected Chris Stock). This allowed our project to progress smoothly from both a design and construction point of view. Susan was personally involved in all stages of the project to help the builder solve the inevitable unanticipated problems of old homes and guide us through project crossroads. Susan is a good listener and will not rest until she finds solutions that are practical, aesthetically pleasing, and satisfactory to her client. The work involved extensive interior renovation and an exterior fire pit. built in grill portico with pergola and awnings. The project required a building permit and an environmental study/survey.
