Vicki Simon Interior Design

We have worked with Vicki for many years, going back to elaborate commercial projects in San Francisco. Vicki is a consummate professional who pays attention to every detail. We value our long relationship with her and look forward to the next project.

Vicki Simon is a fabulous creative designer, and I feel lucky to have worked with her. Alongside a great design-build firm, she and I spent four years on a complete remodel, turning a pedestrian, formerly "remuddled" 1951 ranch-style house into my dream, eclectic "House of Blues." The result is stunning, thoughtfully designed, and set up for me to age in place comfortably. Vicki has a gift for making even overwhelming decisions — fixtures, finishes, all of it — feel manageable and fun. She proposed ideas I never would have imagined on my own. She also helped me find the right spots for my heirloom antiques and tracked down beautiful new-to-me old pieces to fill in the gaps, drawing on her excellent network of trusted professionals for refurbishing and refinishing along the way. I especially valued how clear and honest she was about our financial relationship — no conflicts of interest, ever. We remain friends to this day.

Vicki was terrific! Our house is now filled with unique treasures that that fill our hearts and stimulate our minds. Our home isn't just decorated to look compliant with modern magazine aesthetics. It is a collection, a conversation and a personal expression of interests, tastes and experiences. And yet, in its diversity, it all comes together, connects and speaks to each other. Her technical skills of layout, spacing and attention to details of shape, color and size are outstanding. She made the space work both beautifully and functionally. We probably weren't the easiest clients in the world, with our strong opinions, abundance of ideas, demanding timelines and budget requirements. She accommodated us wonderfully - delivering vision, taking in our input and pushing back where needed it.

Vicki Simon’s approach to interior design is unique, thoughtful and refreshingly honest. In an age of conformity and fakes, she has the lifelong passion for design, an artist’s eye and the formal education to execute truly original and lasting spaces. Her process is always creative, intuitive and carefully considerate of her clients’ unique needs and interests.

Vicki was a pleasure to work with. She was extremely attentive to detail and made the end-product a unique and tasteful twist on the "norm". There is no box shopping when you're with Vicki. Every item we purchased was done thoughtfully and with the global goal for the rooms in mind. We were super happy going with Vicki and you won't be disappointed doing the same.

I had a fantastic experience with Vicki. This was my first time working with a designer. I was overwhelmed after I moved into a new house. This project was pretty much start from scratch. I didn’t know what size furniture to buy, colors, style, etc. I was clueless. I was drawn to Vicki’s profile because I like color. I like bold. I’m paraphrasing but Vicki said in our first meeting, “We live in the overcast gray PNW, why have the inside of your house match that?”. I didn’t want the “greige” house. I’m still dipping my toes in this interior design world, but I knew I wanted something unique. I consulted with several interior designers but Vicki’s consultation stood out. She was punctual, professional, and straight forward. I was looking for an artist to help design my space, but I was also looking for a project manager. She proved to be excellent at both. Once we agreed to the contract she got right to work. She drew up a design plan, started sending me furniture suggestions, scheduled contractors, started a private Pinterest board, and texted me pictures of unique items she’d find at vintage stores. I loved it because we were moving fast but if I didn’t like an idea I wasn’t afraid to veto it. I’d say “ehh let’s pass on that” and she’d say “no problem we can keep searching for the right piece”. The project had a good flow. I’m very happy with the work Vicki has done. She totally transformed my space. She is hard working, transparent, a good communicator, and enjoyable to work with. I’d highly recommend her.

I am a real estate agent who also remodels homes. I reached out to Vicki for a consultation regarding a vintage 1960's mid-mod fixer that I had purchased to renovate. Like Vicki, I am a fan of period appropriate design. She walked the home with me and helped me determine what to keep (the original vanities!) and what to replace (peeling wallpaper). I had thought I'd need replace some of the older items, but instead I found ways to breath new life into them. She also helped inspire what direction I took with tile size and shape to stay true to the era. I'm so glad we connected on this project!

Vicki was such a pleasure to work with! She helped select beautiful new pieces for our home that perfectly complimented our existing furnishings. She also recommended fresh arrangements for our existing artwork and furniture. I would not hesitate to work with Vicki again in the future!

Choosing an interior designer is no easy task, but we are so happy that we chose Vicki! So many designers create spaces that are repetitive and uninteresting, but Vicki isn’t one of them. She has a talent for creating spaces that are beautiful, unique, and in harmony with the existing character of the home. My fiancé and I were having a difficult time choosing several paint colors for the interior of our home, but Vicki made this process fun and a breeze. We look forward to working with her again in the future!

Vicki. Really knows what she's doing. She's incredibly receptive to feedback and able to turn vague directives into coherent designs, while having her own aesthetic and incredible sense of design . She's punctual, organized, her billing methodology and costs are clear. On top of all that she's got a network of professionals and trades people, that makes it a lot easier to get a project done.

Vicki was great to work with! Our project was an extended project that expanded over time and extended through COVID, and Vicki was accomodating and professional throughout the entire project. We were pleased with the options Vicki presented to us, and enjoyed working with her to bring our personality into our home. In particular, we love the rugs, art, and furniture that were part of the design. We are very happy with the overall results and would recommend working with Vicki.

After we bought our first home, my husband and I knew that we were ready to invest in upgrading our living space. Vicki worked with us to create a clean, midcentury modern look, packing a visual punch yet well within our budget. Vicki has a keen eye for detail, an encyclopedic knowledge of design, and is an advocate for her clients. We feel so lucky to have worked with Vicki in creating a comfortable, new look for our home that reflects both our style AND the realistic needs of our every day life (1 kid + 3 cats!) If you are ready to realize your dream space, Vicki is a fantastic interior designer to work with!
