Virginia Burney

I have known Virginia for over 30 years, she is the most creative, inspiring designer I know.

Virginia Burney has been an inspiration to me for many years. I pore over magazine articles featuring homes she's designed. But the best of all is her own home, that was on a Christmas home tour a few years ago. Her eye for color, comfort, whimsy, detail and quality are unsurpassed.

I deal with many designers in my business. Most of them have good taste. Virgina is.a designer with exemplary taste but brings you MUCH MORE. Do you like the drama that colors can evoke? a sense of whimsey and humor? or perhaps a surprising twist that will consistently intrigue you? Virginia provides a backdrop that is easy to live with, but look closely, and you will see that what she does is a well thought out exercise in elegance, timelessness, and creativilty. She is queen of the juxtapositiion. Surely not one to be afraid of a holiday santos dressed delightfully in a sari of red and green (see Xmas photo). Consider that her gift...enveloping you in an environment that is warm, inviting, but most of all... interesting and thought provoking.

Virginia Burney is one of the most creative & talented women I know. Her many design & decorating projects are always amazing and we clients are always inviting her back for more incredible ideas. Just being with this gracious woman and learning to "see" though her eyes is an experience not to be missed. And Christmas.....that's when we all hope to be invited to view her special Holiday collections.

Ginni is an exceptionally gifted decorator; her strengths lie in her eye for the highly personal, for the ethnic, folkloric touch, for deep, rich, color, for art and objects and does absolutely exceptional "vignettes" for tabletop and mantlepiece. As a regional editor for national interior design magazines, I've photographed a # of her projects which are among the most comfortable, yet stylish places I've done over the years. She's also a personal delight, warm and inspiring. This woman also knocks Christmas out of the park!

My wife and I have been a client of Virginia's for over 18 years. She is an amazing lady, with amazing talent! Our hobby over these years was to buy, fix up, and sell a home every year. Virginia worked with us when we first started in 1993 with the $325k houses, to most recently our last home that was $2.75 million. Virginia worked with us from design stage/blue prints to walking through the construction process, to selecting fixtures, textures, colors, and ultimately placing our furniture for the move in/staging for the sale. Virginia took the time to interviewed and get to know us and our style preferences. She took our preferences and helped us perfect the look we were after. Each home was a unique piece of art. Highly, highly recommend!!!

What can I say about Ginni Burney other than that she is the number one most talented person I have ever met. I know there are many great designers...but I don't know them!! She does wonderful rooms in many styles as well as lush wonderful gardens. Let us not forget that she is also a very talented artist, jewelry maker and sculptor. All that and wonderful to work with too! I can not say enough about her and her work which has been in many, many magazines and books.
