We have been working with Wendy for almost nine years and she has been a pleasure to work with. From beginning to end, she is committed to creating designs that work with both the space as well as personal style. We initially contacted her for help on a small design project, after being referred to her by a neighbor. Since then, she has designed almost our entire home, as well as a second home at the beach, always considering our needs and working within our budget to create beautiful spaces that reflect our personality. Encouraging us, at times, to think outside the design box, she has guided us in remodeling, furnishing and decorating our homes, both the interior and exterior, and we have been nothing less than thrilled with the outcome. She has the distinct ability to visualize a space, know what will work, and is never short of ideas. Wendy is professional and knowledgeable, creative and resourceful, honest and practical. Wendy is an amazing designer! She has an unbelievable vision and eye for decorating. The paint selections, furniture pieces, and decorative accessories she chose made the house look and feel, "like a home". My husband and I own a beachfront home is Cabo San Lucas. We hired Wendy to do a total facelift on the villa, inside and outside, as the villa was built in 2000 and was looking a little tired and was very white and beige. The villa was very much in need of updating. Wendy had amazing ideas for adding color and character to the villa, from painting certain walls and accents, to new drapes, bedding, rugs and some new furniture, still working with original artwork and existing furniture. She stayed on budget, on time and was an absolute delight to work with. We could not be happier with the results. Our villa really is transformed from plain to amazing.

Move or remodel? That was our dilemma. After meeting with Wendy and hearing her ideas, we decided to remodel. Before I married Wendy seven years ago, I hired her to do a complete $1m renovation eleven years ago on a home I purchased. She designed the entire renovation, hired and oversaw the various contractors, and eventually furnished the home. During the 18 month renovation I not only fell in love with her, but realized her amazing talents. Included in her work on this project was: Demolition, Architectural design, Lighting, Plumbing, HVAC, Landscaping, Extensive Molding and Woodwork, Custom Cabinets, Custom Faux Paint, Custom built Furniture, Window Treatments, Custom made Bedding, etc...

We started a complete home remodel 6 months ago. There were so many decisions to be made that I hired Wendy to help in the process. After my last review of Wendy Zolezzi Design I have once again hired her to design built-in bookshelves, cabinets and a mantle for my family room. She has transformed a small difficult room to work with to the most popular room of the house. The cabinet maker was so impressed with her drawings that were to scale and so percise it made his job very easy. Everyone who walks into the room is speechless on the beautiful yet elegant design. "Show up on this date with a toothbrush and I'll take care of everything else!" If my wife and I were wondering the extent to which Wendy viewed her scope of responsibility, we were quickly educated and put at ease. We purchased our dream vacation home on the beach in Cabo San Lucas and wanted the interior to match the beauty, elegance and local flavor of a 5-star beach residence... (all within a specific budget!) Let me start with the ending. We could not have been more pleased with the experience and outcome of Wendy's work. I'm still stunned. My neighbors are still stunned! Here's why: 1. Wendy gets to know you. She doesn't start with her favorite design ideas and encourage you to trust her. She actually studied our family, our interests, our lifestyle, our priorities, and our tastes... She asked the questions that let her understand how we'd spend our day and what would be comfortable for us and our children and friends. We never felt like we were being stretched into some area where we were less than wonderfully comfortable and excited. 2. Space plan. For folks like me with little imagination and difficulty "seeing" it , she laid out multiple space plans for each room. Through this iterative process, we were able to work together to define how we envisioned using and enjoying the rooms and how they supported an overall theme or goal. This process was very collaborative and enlightening. 3. Visual. Working with Wendy at times was like visiting the optometrist. She showed you a collection of different options for each piece and each design and you collaborated with the "better".... "worse" routine until you arrived at "perfect"! She gains great insight into your personal style and tastes and works to emphasize those goals. She is wonderfully fast at becoming very understanding of you and your "likes". It amazed me to see Wendy and my wife meet. Each would show up with ideas from their own favorite sources. And while there may be thousands of choices for everything from bathroom sconces to a bed for the master, they would at times literally show up with pictures of the same pieces. It was a testament to Wendy's understanding of our tastes. 4. Budget. (My favorite. My wife's least favorite.) I think many people go in to these endeavors with the expectation to exceed a budget. And they have a fear that the designer is going to "encourage" them to invest more. I had a budget and a timeline. And while that may make me a less than ideal customer for some designers, Wendy was the perfect fit for me. She understood and respected the budget and was on a mission to deliver a stellar product on time and within that budget. (She did.). But it wasn't an accident. Her very professional process allowed her to be successful. She had an overall budget with allocations for each room. More in one meant less in another. She had great ideas on how to get the desired outcome without sacrificing quality or appearance. She gave options within each category (low, medium, high) to allow you to make choices on where to go heavy and where to scale back. It was a very thoughtful and engaging process. And again, on time and actually under (yes under) budget. 5. Collaboration. We never felt like it was "her" design. We were so engaged in the process that we were comfortable each step of the way and fully confident. 6 Outcome. Simply put,... stunning. It's hard to describe what we experienced when we first walked into the finished product. Even though were were engaged in the process and had seed pictures of pieces and approved designs, it doesn't really prepare you for the magic that Wendy creates. I'm sure you can do great things with unlimited funds. But to deliver what Wendy delivered with the budget that we provided was simply spectacular. I think the true endorsement of someone is your willingness to engage with them again or recommend them to a friend. We are currently renovating our home. Wendy is leading that project! And we've enjoyed introducing her to all of our friends with the full confidence that they will appreciate her as we do.
