Yoko is professional and detail oriented. Her design is fresh, beautiful, and met our unique taste and needs perfectly (which she understood better than we did)! She is a space and scale wizard, making the most of cramped or oddly shaped rooms. In addition to being pleasing to the eye, her design has dramatically transformed the way we live for the better. Function was our top priority. Her choices were thoughtful and well coordinated. She stayed on top of our project and stayed on budget. We enjoy her design every day.

Yoko Oda is the consummate professional! After using Yoko on three major projects I can highly recommend her. She sincerely listens to what I would like done. She tries hard to understand her clients wants & needs. She is truly an artist in her field and always thinks outside the box. She had done a complete remodel of my kitchen, then she helped remodel my master bath and bedroom. She did the design of the kitchen & bathroom. She also helped me with picking out my furniture, appliances and paint. She is always on time and really knows how to run major projects efficiently. The professionals she used are excellent at their craft and have the same high quality of workmanship & material. Then in 2019 my home burned down. Without a doubt Yoko was the first person I thought of to help rebuild my home. She is such a pleasure to work with. I have referred at least 3 people to her and all are very happy with Yoko’s designs, attention to detail, timeliness, professionalism!!! I Love Yoko! ❤️❤️❤️

I worked with Yoko on and off for about a year. She helped me decide on all elements on our full house remodel including paint colors, furniture, bathroom fixtures, etc. She was a pleasure to work with and the communication was superb. Very trustworthy and dependable and everything turned out beautifully. Our house feels cohesive and tranquil and I feel soothed and relaxed in each room. I've always dreamed of having a house that just makes you smile when you walk in the front door and that is exactly what Yoko delivered. Our home is over 50 years old and we were just always too busy with the kids to do anything about it. We had small projects done here and there but there was definitely no feeling of cohesiveness. Yoko came in with a blank slate to work with and she magically turned it into our forever home. It's modern yet warm and inviting. The clean lines and colors are vibrant yet soothing. The contractors that she works with are amazing in their own rights. The beautiful built in cabinetry always receives rave reviews when we welcome guests. I'm able to store all our family's 'stuff' in a gorgeous wall of floor to ceiling cabinets where I never would have dreamed they would work. Yoko has the vision and the creativity to make what you hope for happen. She is diligent, time conscious, listens to your wants and needs, will be straightforward in telling you if something can or cannot happen but will always find an alternate solution. Case in point, my dream was to have a big island in our kitchen - that is the one thing I asked for, everything else I left up to her. Because of the layout of our kitchen space and the need for clearance of the appliances, an island of that size just wasn't possible. I was crushed. So Yoko extended the island she had in her plans to a length of 10 feet and while you might think this was crazy, because I did at first, it couldn't have worked out better! 4 people can do prep work on that island, 12 adults can stand around the island decorating cookies or enjoying wine and cheese, it's a dream for a buffet set up! I could go on and on about how talented I think Yoko is. If you are fortunate enough to be able to work with her, you will not be disappointed. Working with Yoko has been an absolute pleasure. Last summer I moved from San Diego to the Bay Area. I had made the decision to donate the majority of my household goods before moving and was looking to start fresh. I searched the ASID website for designers in the area and came across Yoko’s name. I went to her website, saw her designs and instantly decided to call her. Yoko came by for an initial visit and after a discussion of my desire to adopt a minimalistic approach, she got right to work, photographing my empty space and taking precise measurements of every corner of my home. Yoko explained that the measurements would eventually be combined with the dimensions of the the furniture in a Computer-Assisted Design program, to ensure that everything was in proper proportion to the size and scale of my interior. After several weeks, Yoko sent me her designs for each room and I was absolutely delighted. Each room was airy and modern, but approachable. The designs were not only beautiful but functional, too. I have genuinely enjoyed working with Yoko. During the course of my project, she was always upbeat (even in the midst of the pandemic that we are currently in) and very responsive in answering the many questions I sent her by E-mail. I was constantly amazed by her ability to recall the minutest details of my interiors. I would gladly work with Yoko again and am truly looking forward to engaging her and her design team on future projects.

We so enjoyed working with Yoko on our two home renovation projects. Yoko's attention to detail and process are evident throughout the duration of your project. She is present for important material deliveries to ensure quality products are delivered and monitors all critical installs. Yoko presents detailed cost estimates and sticks to them; any changes are presented in advance and there are no surprises when it comes to your budget. She takes great pride in her work and it shows in the materials she selects for her designs, taking into consideration your inspiration and needs. We look forward to working with Yoko again on a future project.

I have the pleasure of working with Yoko consistently and I couldn't be happier to know her professionally. Yoko and I work together in the realm of custom cabinets. She designs, we build. She gives us her vision and we communicate back and forth until the plans are finalized. Then we keep her updated on production and the installation process. For me everything started with portfolio of Yoko's projects. It was very important to find a designer who understands and supports my taste and most importantly creates and corrects ideas about layout, colors, materials and so on. I am a very busy person and I do not have time to think about design of my house, that's why I needed a designer like Yoko. When we were referred and first met with Yoko Oda, - we spend enough time to understand the direction we are going to and other details. Later on we decided to put most of the decisions on Yoko's shoulders))) and it worked. Great service, good listener, very professional approach and excellent taste!!!

Yoko and her team are simply a "must have" when planning for a remodel and redesign project. I had a real challenge on my hands, a 1200 SF townhome in need of full remodeling....kitchen, baths, flooring, millwork, fireplace/bookcase etc. I was overwhelmed and had no idea where to start......and petrified that if I took on the project without help I would spend a lot of money and end up producing a flop (aka wasted money.) Oh, and by the way, I was located 1000 miles away leaving real challenges to work with contractors and material suppliers. Yoko managed the entire project, and was/is simply brilliant.....her design concept, materials choices and finished project produced a home transitioned from a mid-1970's "ho-hum" production home into an absolutely awesome living space featuring functional use of space with a contemporary-yet timeless look. This home has a "wow" factor I never expected to achieve. Everything planned came together.....and seemingly effortless. Thank you Yoko!

Yoko is truly incredible at what she does. She is always going above and beyond for all of her clients. She is incredibly talented and detailed with her projects. I love working with her because she is always on top of her game, making sure she has the latest products and design styles to offer her clients. When something needs extra love or attention, she makes she it gets taken care of ASAP for her clients. (She's also an amazing coffee date!!) She is the type of person you look forward to seeing.
