We have worked with Carlene for about 6 months. Carlene is professional, dependable and great to work with. Carlene guided us in designing our main living space in our new 20 year old home! Carlene first assisted us in identifying our color scheme. Carlene is very talented in identifying design options (area rugs, light fixtures, paint color, window treatments, tables and lighting, wall hangings and accessories) and then nudged us into selections outside our comfort zone. I contacted Carlene after buying a condo that was not furnished. For me this was overwhelming but Carlene saw it as a blank slate and came up with some very great ideas. She is a good listener and has an organized way of approaching the project. She is very creative and in addition will accommodate the client's ideas. To date I love every piece of furniture we purchased. Hurricane Ian did come through with a roar but we were lucky to get away with some water coming into the condo. Carlene is a brilliant and amazing professional designer. Initially, we hired Carlene to consult and advise on our new construction house plans and design. She assisted in helping us with numerous elements and design decisions in building and constructing a new home. She reviewed the plans and gave us excellent feedback. She has a keen eye for details and understands what clients want and desire. After working with Carlene on the new construction plans we expanded her role to include assisting us with the interior design plan and execution. I wanted a bright contemporary coastal home with an old Hollywood silver and gold theme and decor. While I realized that those two things contemporary and an old Hollywood silver and gold decor seemed in stark contrast with each other...Carlene took off with my vision and elevated it in a way I could not have imagined. She executed it with a degree of precision that is impressive by even the highest standards. When I would wander off my vision course with random furniture/art pieces..Carlene kept me focused. When I got lost in the vision she saw it...and always took time to explain details and ensure I felt comfortable and confident about everything. When I wanted to add too much..she kept my edited. When I wanted to keep it boring..she encouraged me to be more bold. Needless to say, I love my new home. It not only reflects me, but is so much better than anything I could have imagined....the home is timeless, elegant, unique, fits my personality and most importantly, is a space that brings me peace, joy and feels like home. We hired Carlene Zeches of Z Interiors to move us into an unfurnished condo. We had 4.5 weeks to execute, with closing 3 days before move-in. We had no furniture, linens, utensils etc. to contribute to the effort. To further increase the degree of difficulty, the project start coincided with the start of the pandemic. The project was successful for 3 reasons. 1} Carlene consistently presented us with plans and options that matched our vision, needs and budget. 2} She was diligent and meticulous in tracking all aspects of ordering and delivery. 3} She managed the project to be fun and exciting. These 3 items were critical because store hours were limited, shipping times were constrained, and factory hours were unpredictable or curtailed by shutdowns. Everyone was concerned about their personal health. To say the least, this was a stressful environment. Carlene navigated us through this process with great success

Carlene Zeches, the principal of Z Interiors, has been helping us furnish and redecorate our condo unit living room, tv area, and dining room areas. She listens well, has a great sense of humor, and is able to come up with suggestions that fit our taste and budget. We require a lot of patience as well, as my husband and I did not share a common vision of what we wanted. Carlene Zeches of Z Interiors, Inc. had helped us renovate our great room a few years back and we were very happy with the results so when we decided to upgrade our master bath and bedroom we didn’t think to go anywhere else for help. First she provided some schematic drawings of how the new bathroom would look, then we met at some showrooms to pick out the materials together. Once we had picked out all the materials Carlene managed the entire project in our absence. She planned and over saw a complete gut of the old bathroom, staged each phase of the construction and oversaw the installation of the new tile, flooring, plumbing, lighting fixtures and finally the accessories to an incredible end. The contractors she uses are exceptional craftsmen and exceeded our expectations each doing a very meticulous job. We have been enjoying our new master suite renovation now for a few months and find every detail extremely pleasing. I will be hiring her again soon to continue renovations in our home to include a new kitchen.

I must admit I was skeptical of using a designer for our home. However Carlene took time to understand our wants and created a vision that has more than eclipsed our expectations. She has been flexible but stayed true to the original vision and we are thrilled with the results. I cannot imagine a better home to call our own. She blended woods, texture and colors to create a personal look just for us.

We received a recommendation from a friend and decided to hire a designer to help us furnish our newly built home. We found Carlene to be very professional and at the same time personable and patient. Above all Carlene was not in the least bit pushy nor did she try to sell us on anything. She presented ideas and let us decide although we asked her on numerous ocassions for her opinion and she was forthright and very helpful. I hired Carlene when we purchased a new house to help me take a look at the furniture I owned and consider how it might fit into the new house. Based upon her ideas, I was able to make some choices about what to leave behind and what to bring to our new setting. She also assisted me with the selection and purchase of window treatments throughout the new house. I am extremely pleased with the selections she helped me make and the quality of the products. She and her installer did a beautiful job of putting up the window treatments and making adjustments as necessary. She installed a separate liner behind the window treatment on the bedroom sliding doors which creates the privacy we desired at night but still allows some filtered light in the daytime. The project was a master bathroom with quite small dimensions and with my limited experience in renovation, I was very interested in assistance. Carlene, whose personality is upbeat, flexible and very creative, offered ideas and detailed design for a custom vanity, mirror, shower controls and shower tile design. This enabled elimination of a shower door and created out of sight shelf space within the shower enclosure. Carlene offers excellent sources of materials and skills yet meshed those with my own choice of tile suppliers and the contractor. She coordinated the work schedule of her team with that of my contractor smoothly. So, on to the next project with Carlene's assistance!

Wow! What can I say about Z Interiors? Carlene is a class act. I have worked with her for several years and I have always been happy with her work I have even hired her company to help my son and his wife with their new home. I hired Carlene to redesign our 20 year old traditional master bath into a more contemporary bath. She listened to my ideas and came up other suggestions and in the end a much better design. Her advice is spot on as far as functionality, feel and design. She has a great eye for all the details and the reasons why she is suggesting them. I love my bathroom. It is a beautiful, clean design and feels very spa-like, and is a much more functional too.

Z Interiors assisted our family once again in updates to our home, starting with new carpet for our 4 upstairs bedrooms. Carlene took the time to walk thru various selections, provide pros and cons with each type of carpet while keeping in mind our active lifestyle and pets within the household. We selected a color and durability that was both stylish and lasting. Carlene ensured that installers were on time, cordial and completed the job as stated. She also helped to un-do my want to be DIY husband's installation of our blinds in our family room. She determined the issues, fixed what she could do and then put us in touch with an excellent installer. She is a gem to work with and I would highly recommend Carlene with any of your interior design needs.

Carlene's personality really put me at ease. She listened to what I wanted and offered me a number of options that would fit my needs as well as my checkbook! My old verticals were removed and replaced with beautiful shades with valances that really gave my great room and dining room a visual lift. Carlene provided interior design services on my great room remodel in my second home in Punta Gorda. I met with her the first time and she got an idea of my style and what I was looking to accomplish. She has always been prompt and professional. We met again and she presented her ideas for furniture, fabrics and light fixtures. I did not feel pressure to agree with all her choices and she and I made some joint decisions and others I defaulted to her recommendations. Once I gave her the go-ahead she set out quickly to procure all items and schedule the contractors needed. She was always on-site with contracts to oversee their work. The few inevitable issues were remedied immediately. Upon my first visit to my house since work began, Carlene had worked very diligently to have everything possible in place and presented as closely as possible to the final remodel. The project was completed in a very short time frame and our newly remodeled great room is absolutely beautiful and harmonious. Carlene is a very talented decorator who I am looking forward to working with again soon.

Carlene has done window treatments for my living & family rooms. I have the utmost confidence in the designs, fabric & paint colors she chooses to complete a project. She takes the time to work with you, within your budget, making sure that the finished product will be beautiful and exactly how you expected. I had a big cornice over my family room window which I hated. Having drapes that matched I worried it wouldn't look right to replace it with a valance. Carlene worked with me showing me a number of fabric samples, finding one that matches very closely to my drapes and I now have a beautiful valance hanging. Just one of the great jobs she has done for me! Z Interior Decorations will always be my go to designer for any projects I may have in the future

We hired Carlene after meeting her at the Miromar Design Center about two years ago. We asked her to help with the kitchen design and then with with rest of the unit. It will probably take another 6-10 months because we are doing the project in three stages. Since we are fairly new to SW Florida we felt it would be good to start with a professional. She was very patient with us and chose materials that suited out tastes. She help us pick out the counter tops at the supplier and also the floor tile which we are very, very pleased with. She has the good taste and professional skill it takes to remodel an older unit and make it look terrific.

Carlene had been recommended to us. She came to the house, measured our windows, and provided a variety of sample fabrics. If there were none we liked, she came back with more options. I hired Z Interiors multiple times. The first was when I bought a new house. I hired Carlene to help with window treatments and bathroom remodel. I ended up using her for a lot more!! I was tearing out the fireplace surround and asked Carlene's opinion on options. She noticed some woodwork in the same room and suggested a design to bring the 2 together. The window treatments have my aesthetic and work together all through the house. And the bathroom is relaxing and the envy of my friends. The second time that I hired her, my house was going to be on tour. 5000 people tour the homes on a Sunday. Carlene helped stage the house, update my fireplace and noticed many details that when updated, added huge impact to the look of the house.

Z Interior Decorations, Inc. has provided decorating services on three separate projects for us: 1) Update of an Ohio home that included furnishings, furniture placement, wall colors, wall paper, decorative floral arrangements & window treatments. 2) 2012 - 2013 Project #1 in FL: Layout and design of interior spaces, including walls, floors, tile, bath and kitchen designs. 3) 2013 Project #2 in FL: Complete decoration of our current home purchased in early 2013. Interior and Exterior paint colors chosen. Granite counter tops and carpets were chosen. Wall paper was selected for 3 baths, laundry room and accent walls in dining room & master bedroom. Window treatment as made for the master bedroom. Even interior decorative items were placed throughout the house, i.e. photos, paintings, floral arrangements, etc. Carlene is a fantastic decorator and person. She works exceptionally well with people, quickly understanding their personal preferences and originating ideas that fit the clients' tastes while also stretching them to consider new ideas.

Z Interior Decorations helped us arrange furniture, choose artwork, and select beautiful window and sliding glass door treatments. Carlene also created several silk flower arrangements, gave us a contact for furniture reupholstery, and purchased some other wall and corner decorations.

I used Z Interior Decorations for multiple projects at two locations. The largest project was a master bedroom/bath/closet/laundry room renovation. Carlene handled EVERYTHING. She hired wonderful contractors who were professional and on time. The projects ran very smoothly. She also decorated a living room and updated a condominium for us. She listens and develops a sense of your personal taste and comfort level. She found the exact light fixture I had in mind! I would love to hire her again, however, things are perfect right now!

Carlene has helped us decorate our last three houses and agreed to help us with our guest bathroom remodel this summer/fall. We wanted to remove the bath tub to create a walk-in shower, extend the shower tile past the shower curb to create space for hanging eight wet bathing suits :-), and find a way to use a narrower door to the bathroom to create more space. She met with us to talk about all those things--had ideas immediately--sketched out what we might do--then met us at Prosource to select shower tile and trim as well as floor tile. She created a detailed plan for our contractor, showing the exact placement of the shower trim, the extended shower tile and the four robe hooks. Our contractor was impressed with her plans and the detail--especially liking her solution to the surface of the shower curb (using two 12"x24" samples of the floor tile which the contractor cut to use on the shower curb surface.) He also liked her use of Noce pencil rail to finish the edges of our shower tile when no bullnose tile existed. We love working with her---and the finished product!!

Carlene was a tremendous help to us as we had to furnish and decorate a new home in Ft. Myers. She came to our home with many design ideas, samples, and recommendations. Initially, we were seeking basic help with window coverings which she provided to our complete satisfaction. In addition, her design ideas were most helpful in making a wide range of decisions, from concepts to details. All of this was balanced with respect to our specific tastes and budget. We also thoroughly enjoyed her upbeat personality and sense of humor.

I/We have worked with Z-Interior Decorations since 2001. We have found their professionalism and ability to communicate and express the details, timeline and price point to be outstanding. Finding service companies that make you feel as if they are truly engaged in your vision is hard to find, Carlene is engaged. And yes, there were/are times where I/we would be scratching our head. However, when we brought up the concern with Carlene the answer was clearly explained and we could than make our decision.

Carlene is a delight to work with. She was able to zero in on what my windows needed and the colors that would enhance what I already had. We worked with various window covering styles and came up with some very complementary coverings. At least my guest have made favorble comments! And also very quick trun around from the vendors and installation team. I even had an issue with the shade controls. These were resolved very quickly.
