AB & K Bath and Kitchen

I hesitate to even give them one star, but some of their subcontractors deserve a fair rating. We contracted with them in June of 2022 to do a $40,000+ bathroom remodel. The primary reason for the remodel was to remove an existing 4'X4' shower and the whirlpool tub that was next to and replace them with a shower area that would measure 4'X9'. This called for the construction of a 4' high by 6' long extension to an existing wall and then the installation of a 6' by 30" piece of glass on top of the wall extension. There was other tile and plumbing work done as part of this project and we did experience some problems, but they were corrected. However, the wall extension has a visible bow in it and the glass was installed crooked. In lieu of having them correct these issues we offered to agree on a total settlement of a reduction of $2,000.00 to make up for the reduced value of the project. When they offered a total 0f $1,000.00 we told them that was not a fair amount. Since them we have requested, they correct their mistakes under the "Right to Cure Law" and they have refused to respond to us. Their so-called director of design and sales has a tendency to be very rude to customers. I would never use them again.

My project of 2 bathrooms went seamlessly. Everyone was kind, respectful, and communicated daily on the status -- what the expectations were for that day or week with each step along the way. I was pleased with the skill levels of each person involved and found them all easy to work with. They're organized. My project was free of any anxiety or headaches. I'd use them again with no worries. I'm pleased with my bathrooms.

Overall our experience with AB & K was very positive with the final result being --" I simply love our new kitchen! " The goal of our project was to refresh the kitchen and powder room with new countertops, sinks, faucets, tile backsplash and fresh paint but at the same time making sure to create a color balance that still worked with our existing open floor plan. Our designer, Jill was simply fantastic and so easy to work with -- we couldn't have done this project without her. She was the perfect balance between listening to what we thought we wanted and providing her professional guidance when we were getting off track. The project was completed sooner than we expected and I'm so glad we didn't try to do this ourselves. I would highly recommend AB&K -- the service was top notch.
