Adelphi cabinets were ordered through our contractor over a year ago (April 2022). More than six months after our old cabinets were ripped out (October 2022), we are still missing cabinet doors, pullout drawers, touch up kits, and multiple replacements for incorrectly sized cabinets. Adelphi has been unable to acknowledge the order, refuses to communicate with the end customer about the status of paid-for items, and has left us with a largely unusable kitchen. This is unacceptable, unbelievable, and theft. I cannot recommend Adelphi to anyone.

I ordered Adelphi cabinets through a local dealer in September 2021. The dealer was quoted 8-10 weeks for delivery.
Today is December 17, 2021. The dealer is speechless. The dealer informs me that it is tough to get in touch with someone at Adelphi kitchens to find out the status of the order. Anytime he has been able to speak with someone they have few answers. He has also emailed various people in the company and has not received any responses. I understand there are supply and personal issues these days but not to have a honest response or returned email is totally unprofessional. I would not recommend this company. The cabinets were not cheap!

My fairly simple kitchen update was begun in September 2017 and was to take 4 weeks. It was finally completed in May 2018. Though there were numerous issues, the central problem was a lack of detailed design plans or work orders (see comment from Mr. Husick below), resulting in errors with cabinet style, color, measurements, and billing. Adelphi did pledge to make corrections, and a dedicated employee spent much time doing that. In the end, the look is what I wanted, but I never anticipated such an ordeal. Lastly, in all the months of problems and delays, no one from Adelphi management ever visited my home to make a personal assessment of the situation.

Yesterday I received my 7th delivery from Adelphi Kitchens. Our initial delivery was April 19th! With each delivery we sent back , in some cases, more than we accepted. When the cabinets were done correctly, they are beautiful, but the errors in production were ongoing. I don't understand how they could load up their truck with such obviously flawed goods! The attention to detail is almost non existent. It got to the point where I would inspect items on the truck in order to avoid the hassle of loading it back. It has been an exercise in frustration and inconvenience. I'm sure there are many other companies who would care enough to do a better job. I cannot recommend doing business with this company.

The cabinets are made of high quality material and overall are beautiful, but the workmanship for this level of cabinetry is sub-par. All but two cabinets had at least one door that was damaged and had to be sent back to the factory for repairs. Several cabinets had holes for shelves that were not drilled level, which makes the shelves unlevel and, since the door hinges screw into the same holes, makes it very difficult to level the doors with each other. One of the mitered cabinets had a set of holes that were so far off level the shelves are only being supported by 3 supports. Another mitered cabinet had shelves that were too small to even reach to the holes for the shelf supports. I had to drill holes for them myself. In that same mitered cabinet the hinges for one of the doors were not installed plumb to each other, which meant in order to level the door, there has to be a large, very visible gap between the hinge-side of the door and the cabinet. I would expect these types of things from $4k off-the-shelf cabinets from a home improvement store. But when spending the price of a new car on cabinets, I expect much higher quality workmanship and quality control.

When Adelphi Kitchens and Cabinetry joined with us to be our cabinetry distributor, it has been an outstanding relationship, they have great people working there who are devoted to satisfying the customer 100%. Nick Yatron especially has been a huge help, he's an outstanding owner and a pleasure to work with. We look forward to continue working with Adelphi Kitchens & Cabinetry for many more years to come.

Our standard line when we bought the house with the ugly kitchen a few years ago was that “we had a kitchen because it came with the house.” When we decided to renovate said ugly kitchen, our contractor recommended Adelphia Kitchens for our cabinets. We sent the dimensions of the small, galley kitchen to Nadia Wolff, the designer at Adelphi who provided us with some sample layouts. She demonstrated great expertise with the design and best of all, was flexible and open to changes. For example, the center window that we wanted necessitated that we lose some cabinet space with two large corner cabinets with lazy susans. We visited Adelphi’s warehouse twice to meet with Nadia and select our cabinets. What a treat that was! There is something quite special about touring the actual factory where the cabinets will be manufactured --- imagine stacks of rounded lazy Susan trays, for example – and seeing other customer’s clients in various stages of production and preparation for shipping on the factory floor. Adelphi does beautiful craftsmanship and we got to see lots of different styles, colors, sizes, and wood types in addition to those on display in a small showroom. We selected a plain shaker style and some sample finishes, and we were off. We then decided to pause the renovation project for a few months to focus on another renovation. I didn’t see any need to revisit Adelphi again, but my husband insisted we take another look as we had changed some of our design plans (e.g., kitchen counter since our last visit to Adelphi). Well, he was right, because this second tour of the factory floor resulted in a serendipitous and almost literal run-in with a walnut cabinet that was being prepped for shipping. We fell in love with the natural looking wood grain and texture and ordered that for the kitchen.
We wanted as natural a look as possible and so requested a low sheen to really highlight the natural luster of the wood. Nadia was able to send us a kitchen door with the low sheen we requested so that we could see exactly what the cabinets looked like. An Adelphi employee came to the house to take the precise measurements and the cabinets arrived some 6 weeks later precisely as Nadia promised. I swooned when I first laid eyes on them. They are just GORGEOUS! We could not be happier with the quality of the craftsmanship and the service we received at Adelphi. Even when we delayed things (I was late placing an order for the floating shelves), Nadia was patient and stayed in frequent communication with us about the status of the shelves. Doug, a contractor with Adelphi installed the cabinets. Doug showed up when he said he would and meticulously installed, tweaked and finished every aspect of the cabinets. About a month later, Doug dispatched a team of two women to do minor touch ups. And did I mention that everyone with whom we interacted at Adelphia was so courteous, friendly and professional. It was a pleasure to have them in our home. We’ve decided that we’d like another custom piece for the kitchen to complement our cabinets, and so anticipate that we will work with Adelphi again in the near future. Obviously, we highly recommend Adelphi for your next kitchen renovation. As the photos show, they do high quality work and highly value customer satisfaction.
Recently, we contacted the company again because the large pantry door is not extending as far out as we would like. Even though we’re several months out from the completion of the project, Adelphi has been very responsive. Last week, they sent Dave, the employee who did the original measurements to troubleshoot the issue and take photos. We’re confident that Adelphi will resolve the issue to our satisfaction.

In the end, we are quite pleased with the cabinets we purchased.
Beware, though, as Adelphi seems not to pay very close attention to details, and this essentially doubled the duration of our project and increased the costs by about 15%. Despite written requests for detailed invoicing on our order, the company would not provide it. (Instead, the invoice was about 8 lines long and essentially amounted to "trust us, we know what we're doing.")
The project measurements were wrong in a few places, and did not match the architect's plans. (To be fair, Adelphi did finally reimburse a small amount for one such error.) We were not told that the cabinet interiors would be different from what we saw in the showroom, or that some cabinet interiors would have one finish (birch) on three sides and a different finish (walnut) on one side, which had to be addressed with a plywood sheet screwed in place only after we complained.
We were extremely patient, as Dave, their really excellent installer tech came back a few times, only to find that what the factory had given him was made incorrectly and was short on parts. At the end, we requested a 10% refund to help compensate for the delays and disruptions, but received a letter from the company CFO that was patently untruthful and refused our request.
Overall - the product quality is very high. Most of the staff we dealt with was excellent, courteous, and helpful, but was hamstrung by a haphazard set of specification/drawing tools that could not faithfully render the job, by a production system that could not catch clear errors before they left the factory and that could not fix things the first time through. These issues are simple to address - but management became defensive and behaved in a dishonorable manner rather than acknowledging the errors and making sure that a process was in place to prevent recurrence.

I purchased Adelphi Kitchen custom cabinets for my kitchen via Sudbury Kitchens, a local dealer, 6 years ago. I had several parts break over the past year or so and contacted both companies regarding repair. After some back and forth regarding the parts, I got what I needed from Adelphi free of charge (under warranty), and the local dealer repaired all of our cabinets.

The cabinetry is top quality and the designers are as well. Each space I see is beautiful but the before and after pictures are amazing!

A few years ago we used Adelphia Kitchens to design a new kitchen. We heard about them through Gardner & Fox who were the builders for the job. Nadia designed the kitchen for us. We had a fairly small space to work with and she came up with an amazing plan that made the best use of the space. The ideas she had for the cabinets and the desk were very unique. She thought of everything we could possibly need in the kitchen and made sure there was a place for it. When finished the space seemed bigger then it was and my kitchen became the favorite room in the house. We loved the kitchen so much that when we were redoing another house about a year later we used Adelpia again. This time not only did Nadia design another beautiful kitchen, but also a mudroom, lower level mini kitchen, cabinets in theater and family room and numerous bathrooms. Included with all of this was a master bath that is so beautiful you never want to leave it. It is a true oasis. I would use Adelpia and Nadia again for any future plans.
