About Us

Affinity Home & Design, LLC is a Design + Build construction company established by Nathan Dunithan in 2008. Nate's background in architectural design has helped to shape Affinity's culture, infusing a strong passion in our team for functional, beautiful, and perfectly executed projects. Currently, Affinity is expanding its presence in the residential remodeling market, and will be opening a design center in West Linn OR. Our desire is that our clients will have a place where they can sit with our designers and more easily create a beautiful vision for the places they love most in their homes. This is an exciting step for us and we're looking forward to the relationships this space allows us to build. Our Mission is to provide affordable and efficient residential, multifamily, and commercial Design + Build services that are functional, beautiful, and perfectly executed. We accomplish this by embracing a strong set of values. Namely, we build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and subcontractors.; valuing their satisfaction with our people and services. We also highly value efficiency, striving to execute projects in a timely and professional manner. Finally, we value transparency, always being fair and competitive with our processes and pricing.

Affinity took way too long, and were extremely unresponsive. We had to constantly ask about getting things done, and their communication skills were poor. They would send us a bill for work not yet done, and also send a bill for work which was optional, and never agreed to or done. The customer should be aware they have to review things themselves; we had to give information to their subcontractors and workers which should have been information provided to them by the Nathan, the contractor. Work that was to be done by Memorial Day took until after Thanksgiving. Particularly aggravating was such things as asking for a quote for some additional electrical work. We eventually got a quote, along with, "go ahead and sign.". When I asked whether the quote seemed high, Nathan said "yes it did." I ended up getting two other quotes, both of which were substantially less than the quote Nathan had provided. What is a general contractor doing if he isn't trying to "do right" for the customer?

Took too long, 6 mos, over budget.... after punch list was completed, never heard another word from them. Many items had to be re-painted including all cabinet doors. Contacted abt moving one small shelf and final pics...nothing. While the end result was beautiful, the whole project was a debacle. Nice people but we lived in misery while they tried to get their act together.

From design to planning to completion, Affinity was excellent to work with. We did a major overhaul of of home which included a new kitchen, flooring, sheetrock, painting, electrical, doors and windows. The care and time taken during planning made the project go smoothly. Communication was excellent throughout as they answered all of our questions and addressed all of our concerns whenever we had them. At any point if we weren’t sure about a decision, their knowledge helped guide us in the right direction. The crews working in our home were very professional, polite and considerate. We looked forward to seeing them each day. We are very happy with the way our project turned out. It’s better than we could have imagined and they made it come together on time and within our budget! I would suggest Affinity to anyone looking to do a home remodel.

We had our 1400 sq ft deck re-built. They helped design it and offered many suggestions. The price was fair and the workmanship awesome. Site manager was on site several times to check on work. He was honest and upfront. The workers weee kind courteous and respectful. They showed up everyday when expected. There were no delays d/t management. The deck is beautiful. I’ll definitely use them again!

We were so glad to find Lori and Dan from Affinity to do our kitchen revamp project. They provided great ideas, creative options and affordable approaches - we got everything we hoped for, and the kitchen looks fantastic. All the crew were great to work with, very professional, super responsive, and trustworthy. Because they are super busy in this current market, it took longer to get the project completed than we hoped, but the end result is lovely.

We converted our builder grade kitchen into a beautiful custom kitchen! We could only slightly change the footprint of our kitchen but the designer worked with us tp maximize the potential of the space. The choice of materials and the custom made to order cabinets turned out beyond our expectations. Our timeline was tight but the Affinity crew delivered as promised! We LOVE OUR KITCHEN!

Affinity H&D was familiar with the construction of this building and this was a reason for hiring them. The project consisted of the removal of an existing bathtub and the building of a walk-in shower. The team was professional and the work was of high quality. Although the budget projections were met, there were several delays that compromised the project timeframe. I would recommend this company.
