Aidan Design

Aidan re-designed our kitchen, powder room, and entryway and it was beyond our hopes and expectations. They brilliantly balanced listening and incorporating our goals and ideas with their own based on their experience and expertise. For example, I thought I wanted the sink right in the middle of the counter, but they pointed at that with how much we cook and bake, it makes sense to put the sink at the end so we have a bigger stretch of counter space. They truly made our dreams of how we'd like to use our kitchen come true by turning what was a barely functioning kitchen closet into an open, useable, and comfortable space.

We had a great experience remodeling our kitchen with Nadia and Kelly. Once we decided to go for a full gut job to include moving and/or opening up load-bearing walls, we wanted to hire a professional company that would be a valuable resource and guide during the entire course of the project and that would also come at the the job with our preferences and lifestyle in mind to ensure both the products and the style would last over time. Aidan definitely fit the bill on both fronts. I appreciated the thoughtfulness to every detail in the space, having entire conversations about perfect hardware and over-sink lighting. My partner and I were very involved in the process and they knew how to balance that out with thoughtful and polite input on our choices (even when they disagreed), but I would imagine they also work well with people who have less opinions overall (i.e., more easy going). Not only was the design process and material selection pretty much seamless, we ended up going with a great contractor that they had worked with previously and it made our lives easier to know they were in regular communication with both him and us so everyone was always on the same page. I know this is not typical, but there was an issue with the cabinet supplier right before our project was slated to start and we were so grateful that literally everything was handled by Aidan (including ensuring our contractor could adjust the start date) and we didn't have to do any last-minute scrambling ourselves. If you are looking to redo your kitchen once and do it right, I would highly recommend Aidan Design.

I can't say enough about the superb job that Nadia and Kelly did for us. We had some challenges in renovating and adding onto an older home (kitchen, two baths, family room, mudroom and pantry), and Nadia and Kelly worked through each and every issue with us patiently and professionally. I have the utmost confidence in their design advice and recommendations. They are extremely responsive, always on top of every detail, and truly a pleasure to work with. I hope to do another renovation project soon, and wouldn't consider going anywhere else.

We have been huge fans of Aidan's work for years. When it came time to renovate our kitchen we knew we wanted Nadia and her team at Aidan to create the design for us. From our research and our knowledge of Aidan's work, we knew the design would be smart, beautiful and unique; but we could not have known what an incredible pleasure it would be to work with Nadia, Kelly, Richard, John and the entire Aidan team. Undergoing a kitchen renovation is probably the hardest remodeling job one can undertake in a house. Aidan made the whole process a creative adventure, and as absolutely painless as possible. Nadia is an incredible listener, knows that functionality and use of space are essential in a kitchen, and believes that beauty is equally as important as function. As a designer, she has an unerring eye; as collaborators, she and her team are detail-oriented, focused, thoughtful, warm -- in a word, wonderful. Their passion and dedication to their work and to their clients is evident in every stage of the renovation process. We really can't say enough about Aidan or our magical new kitchen.

We thoroughly enjoyed working with Nadia and Kelly at Aidan Design from the beginning to the end of our project! They are efficient, sharp, creative, and excellent listeners and communicators. They created a beautiful design for our kitchen in our newly renovated first floor open space design (including a built-in dining room buffet area). They were able to assess our needs and style quickly and offered excellent options that we immediately loved. Nadia and Kelly were terrific throughout the project. Super attention to detail, schedules, and they worked well with other people on the project (architect/contractor). Beyond this, excellent taste and product.

Fantastic experience from start to finish. We had tried the usuals - Ikea, Kitchen and Bath, Case, Ethan Landis, the local builder - but nothing seemed worth the money. We found Nadia's designs online and made an appointment. We were wowed. Her initial design was perfect. She imaginatively re-conceived the layout of the kitchen, increasing the footprint subtly and increasing the storage while creating an open and airy feeling that is both modern and fresh yet harmonizes beautifully with the classical elements of our 1947 transitional colonial. We loved the subtle colors of the materials she chose. Nadia recommended a builder who's price was very competitive and had a first-rate crew. They were a pleasure to work with from start to finish -- we almost miss having them around, they were all so great! The result is wonderful and has re-energized our whole home. Thank you Nadia and Kelly. (And like us, she has German Shepherds -- what's not to like)

Working with Nadia and her team was terrific. We kept asking for more changes to the design, and they kept tweaking to make it perfect. Their ideas were right-on and very thoughtful. They're good listeners, and really got a clear sense of how we live and what we need. We love the new kitchen -- it's a joy to cook in and to live in. We recently had a PTA party for parents in our son's school, with 30 or so people for dessert and drinks. People gushed about the kitchen (we gave out Aidan's name repeatedly). But we couldn't get anyone to leave the kitchen to head into the living room or onto the patio, as much as we tried. They just wanted to stay in the kitchen. Thankfully, Nadia's design made that easy and comfortable.

We hired Aidan Design to combine our smallish kitchen with our largish breakfast nook to create one cohesive space as well as to open that space to the rest of the house and to the outdoors. With mobility issues, it was also important to me to have a kitchen that functioned well with easily reachable storage, accessible appliances and comfortable work stations. The resulting space is not only beautiful and flows seamlessly with the rest of the interior and exterior, but through the selection of innovative appliances and lift mechanisms, it is also a kitchen that alleviates the physical impact of everyday cooking and baking. It is both beautiful and easy to be in. Nadia, Megan and the entire behind-the-scenes team were such a pleasure to work with – no attitude, no fuss, no pressure. Rather, everyone clearly enjoyed what they were doing and functioned smoothly together as a team, either when interfacing with us, with our appliances supplier or with our contractor. I always looked forward to their jobsite visits. Highly recommend!

We could not be happier with our completely redesigned kitchen! The space had many challenges and Nadia and her team came up with the most creative solution for the space. I never could have imagined the design solution they did! All of the cabinets, countertops, tiles, and hardware are of the highest quality and are super stylish. We feel confident that our kitchen remodel has added considerable value to our property value. Aidan Design helped transform our tiny galley kitchen into an amazing family-centric dream space. Nadia is calm, thoughtful, meticulous and professional. She has an extremely creative eye and heard us when we articulated what we wanted out of the space. It didn't take her long to pull items that we immediately fell in love with. I can’t say enough about Aidan Design. As someone who works within the design industry, I know how important it is to consult an expert when embarking on a significant kitchen renovation. So when the time came to remodel my own kitchen, Nadia was the first person I called. I’ve been familiar with Nadia’s work and an admirer of Aidan Design projects for years, and working with them on my home surpassed all of my already-high expectations.
