Whack Work was founded by designer Ali Swidler who has spent two decades working in the design-build industry as an interior designer, construction project manager, and sales & marketing specialist. With a passion for art and architecture, and an understanding that function and affordability are key, designing small spaces while maintaining a high end lifestyle is her forte. From Design to Done, Ali creates exciting homes for her clients while personally managing all aspects of each project. Whack Work offers a blend of these creative services to builders, vendors, architects, developers and private clients, because we understand the benefits of the design-build process. Ali is an amazing designer, I highly recommend working with her! She is truly a joy to work with, we recently completed a full house renovation together, it took approximately 4 months for the construction and she was extremely knowledgeable regarding both design and the construction process throughout. Ali provided us with a thorough set of drawings, pulled the permits (which I've never had a designer do), was flexible when adjustments needed to be made AND was available during the process for any questions. The design turned out incredible! :)

When we decided that our kitchen needed a renovation, we were overwhelmed by the prospect. Ali was recommended by a friend to help design a kitchen for us and guide us through the process. Ali provided concierge-like service and helped make the process a pleasant one. For instance, when we went to pick back-splash, Ali picked the perfect option for us on the first try (because she had taken the time to get to know us). Ali takes pride in her work and it really shows in every detail, from the design to the project management and ultimately the customer satisfaction. I look forward to working with Ali again on our next project.
