Amy and her team were consummate professionals while also very personable and understanding of the vision for a major remodel of our family home of 26 years. Amy took time to talk through things that mattered to me in terms of the process and the inherent difficulty of choosing finishes to fulfill the result of my vision. What I appreciated about Amy most of all is her ability to work with a client as opposed to directing a client. Before meeting Amy, I spoke to several designers that were more interested in telling me what wasn't possible vs. what was possible. Amy has a unique, genuine and gentle approach that was not only helpful but comforting. She's patient and kind while knowing her industry and profession inside and out. In the end, I got the very thing I was looking for: spec sheets that list exactly which materials, fixtures, and hardware to buy for my new kitchen. Amy was great to work with and we are so pleased with our main floor remodel. She helped us redesign our kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, office, and living area. Her design was so thoughtful and we have loved living in our "new" space. I looked forward to every meeting because she was so fun to hang out with. I was in the very early stages of a bathroom remodeling project with Amy when my husband and I needed to relocate out of state because of an illness in our family. I assumed we would need to put the project on hold, but Amy offered to work with me online. Amy's process, intuition and skill made it possible for her to easily understand my style. She also was able to design an updated bathroom that still looked right in a 100 year old house. The bathroom was completed in the time we were gone and it is beautiful and very functional. The contractors Amy connected me with were fabulous. I feel so very lucky that I had a chance to work with Amy and look forward to working with her on future projects.

A seamless choreography from start to finish. That's how I would summarize our design and remodeling experience with Amy Pearson and her stalwart team. From our first meeting, it felt like one of those dance contests where two parties meet for the first time and glide almost effortlessly through a design and construction process that was completed on time and on-budget. We understood her process from the beginning, which emphasized a warm, open collaboration-- an iterative approach that moved with fluidity to a final design that captured our vision. Why? Because Amy communicates clearly and effectively-- and regularly. Our house was built in 1907, and we placed a high priority on retaining its vintage appeal while modernizing its conveniences. She did venerable designs for our kitchen, master bathroom, and powder room that are timeless-- subtle and bold at the same time, if that's possible. Exactly the effect we were looking for, and she achieved it for us. Amy introduced us to our general contractor, Creative Construction, and it was clear from the day when the contractor and all the subs came to assess the work, that Amy's relationship with them would be a difference maker. The whole team was part of the dance! They moved within the construction schedule, flexing easily to solve issues that invariably come up. Amy was a conductor of sorts for the dance music, always making herself available. She shepherded the project through to completion, boosting the fantastic work and deep attention to detail by Creative Construction. We took to calling Amy our "design Sherpa" for her skill at navigating us through the decision-making process. When asked by friends and colleagues how the remodeling job was going, they almost uniformly would be nonplussed when I would tell them, "it's going flawlessly." It seems that nearly always someone has a story about a bad experience with a design/remodel, and that simply was not the case for us.. So that's a big reason why I'm so effusive in this review. It was a joyful partnership among all of us, and it started with Amy Pearson and her deep commitment to the final product. And WOW!....

After interviewing several designers, I realized I hit the jackpot after connecting with Amy Pearson. From our first phone call it was obvious she understood my design preferences for a kitchen remodel and would be a delight to work worth. Amy listened carefully to our needs and preferences. She responded with several possible design options, one of which surpassed our expectations and hopes. Professional through and through, Amy is responsive and flexible. She has great professional relationships with local suppliers and helped us navigate appliance purchases, etc. We knew we were in good hands and could count on Amy to resolve any problems that popped up through the design and construction process. From cabinet hardware to lighting, Amy has a finely honed design instinct. Anytime we entertain, guests comment on just how beautiful our kitchen and dining room are. My only regret is as our project is complete, we will not be seeing Amy regularly. We will miss her upbeat presence and can do attitude.

Amy is truly a gift. She took a challenging 1921 kitchen footprint and transformed it into a beautiful space, merging existing historical elements with modern functionality/amenities. Amy’s vision, creativity, patience, and ability to communicate with our contractor was impressive. Amy was always available when we needed her. Our project would not have come together the way it did without her guidance and attention to the necessary (and sometimes changing) details. Amy delivered not only a design for our current project—which included a reconfiguration of the downstairs floor-plan and a bathroom remodel upstairs—but also a compatible, long-term design for the rest of the home when we are ready. Beyond being warm and communicative, she really listened to us and honed in on what we wanted and presented us with ideas and materials beyond what we would have considered for our floating home. A functional kitchen has been a godsend during the quarantine and I have used it a lot. The wall oven proofs perfectly at 80 degrees and operates extremely well. I’m amazed – and still learning – to work with the insane heat of the new stove and the vent works perfectly when there’s a smoking fiery pan, searing underneath. Regardless of heat, the functionality and improved work flow really cut down the time of food preparation. And although I know you were disappointed I didn’t do a tile backsplash, I haven’t even thought of missing one. I mostly just look at the kitchen and can’t believe it’s all mine. Thanks again for all your efforts in making it happen!

Amy helped us update our 1950's house to something a bit more modern. We originally wanted to do it ourselves before we realized we were way over our heads and started looking for help. We went through multiple iterations with several options several over a month before Amy created plans we were happy with. There were some difficulties as we didn't have much space we could take down for renovations but which made the designing quite challenging. There was a mismeasurement in the early stages that caused issues during renovations but we were able to come up with a decent compromise of the designs. End result is beautiful and I would recommend Amy's work.

We are beyond grateful for everything that Amy did for us during our remodel project! We had put off a remodel for so long because we were overwhelmed with where to even start. Amy took the time to understand what we liked (and our budget!) and how we could apply that to our space based on our lifestyle. She guided us through the whole process and was spot on with all of her recommendations. We love our new space! I collaborated with Amy over the last few years on a number of remodels from fairly basic to complicated layouts and unique designs. We were moving into our newly built home and sought out Amy for ideas of what to do with the large number of windows that needed window coverings. Privacy and light were an issue because of large windows facing into our neighbors house. Amy provided great suggestions, arranged for the window specialists to measure and then install our blinds. We are very happy with the service provided and the product.

Our church was in the process of moving from an old building that we occupied for over 50 years to an newer space with a completely different feel. Amy helped sort through all my varied ideas to organize a beautiful streamlined design in our house. Sometimes it takes an outside who is great at listening to bring everything together. She was able to see the wholes in my vision and brought clarity to some of the things I hadn't yet found the words to describe. Plus she brought creative solutions for our limited space. Amy listens but gets right into the creative process with you. It is clear she isn't afraid to take risks, she is patient and she makes it seem simple (I tend to get overwhelmed). Through her focus we now have all the rooms flowing together and the little details constantly make me smile. I would highly recommend Amy and am glad to have gotten the opportunity to work with her. In my experience working with Amy I found her to be the ultimate professional, always taking my opinions seriously and providing many potential solutions. Amy expressed sincere interest in finding out my personal decorating "style" and what sort of feel I wanted in our primary living space in our home. Amy and I had an unusual working relationship in that we did all of our communicating via phone or computer since I lived in AZ and she was in OR!
