April Case Underwood

We worked with Case Design to do a major house renovation. April was our project developer. It was a great experience working with April and her team. We did a full kitchen renovation, added a mudroom, relocated laundry room to the 2nd floor and fully renovated our master bathroom. In the design phase, April and Allie (our designer) spent a lot of time sitting down with my husband and I to understand our inspiration for our new house, to answer our questions and to present us with different options. The design strikes a perfect balance between functions and aesthetics. During construction, April and her team is willing to go extra miles to make sure all the details is fully executed according to the design. The global supply chain disruption made the whole process extremely challenging, but April and her team managed our expectation very well and most of the renovation went smoothly according to the scheduling. Renovation is a very stressful process and there will always be hiccups along the way. There are occasions when we feel we were stuck, April is always there to solve the challenges for us. We feel grateful that April and her team guide us through this with years of experience and professionalism.

From the first time I met April, I noticed her personal sense of style, confidence and organization. Yes. This was the professional I wanted to rely on for guidance through my kitchen renovation. She followed a decision-making structure that kept the project on track and incorporated my selections (with guidance) of designs and materials and appliances. Her follow-up notes and responses to questions were thorough and extremely well written. More than anything, she earned my trust and saved me months of trudging through appliance, hardware, etc. stores chasing my tail! April is a force of nature, IMHO. The end result is MY kitchen, not A kitchen.

We had a total kitchen remodel by Case Design & Remodeling and couldn’t have been more pleased with their work. We needed an entirely new design and layout and they gave us multiple designs and options. Everything was on schedule and within budget and the design and office team (April, Elena and Susan) were very responsive and always available to answer our questions or offer advice. The project manager and superintendent (Bruce and Robin) were terrific, timely with scheduling and really cared about our needs and requests. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the entire experience.

Our kitchen remodeling process went well from start to finish. April is thoughtful, well organized and a great communicator. She and her team understood what we wanted and brought wonderful ideas for consideration. We couldn't have been happier with the results.

Polite and professional service all the way around. After discussion on the project, first meeting produced the exact design I had in mind. I will hire this company again when I am ready for my next project.

We spoke to many designers, builders and design/build firms in advance of undertaking our kitchen and master bath renovation. Case Design and April Underwood stood out from the rest by a large margin. Deep knowledge and expertise across many areas (appliances, construction, layout, etc, etc.), detailed project management, wonderful design guidance, and plenty of patience as we learned along the way as well. I would not hesitate to recommend them or to hire them again.

Most simply put, April Case Underwood is the reason we hired Case Design for our second major home improvement project in five years, the first being the highly successful renovation of our master bath and in 2018, the complete re-do of our 20-year old kitchen. April is a planning whiz and a detail fanatic. She works tirelessly to maintain currency with the latest trends, innovations and best practices of the home remodeling industry - and by carefully listening to her customers, is able to bring them multiple design concepts that meet their wants, needs and budget. Her interest in the project and her meticulous attention to detail extend from start to finish. The kitchen she designed for us could not have been better in any way - everything is exactly where it should be for smooth access in even the most complex culinary process and its crisp black, white and brushed stainless steel appearance elicits OMGs! and Wows! from all who have seen it. Case Design is a top-of-the-line home remodeling company, but it is so because of people like April who always go the extra mile for their clients with unmatched professionalism and integrity.

April helped us select colors and materials that met our design needs, and respected our budget. She also helped us resolve an issue that arose when the hardware for the barn door proved to be more obtrusive than we expected. We never felt rushed or pressured when consulting with April. She and her team provided the professional touch that we needed to complete a major bathroom remodeling project.

April was the designer for an extensive kitchen, mudroom, master bath, hardwood floor, and fireplace renovation in our home. Her work was spectacular in every respect and transformed our house--it is stunning and we get one compliment after another about her work. Personally, she was easy to work with, patient, and considered our tastes in offering us a number of design alternatives. I wouldn't hesitate to work with her again and strongly recommend her.

Our Master Bathroom project that was overseen by April and her team (Elena, Justin, & Jay) was a delightful experience. They are skilled and they care about the project but more importantly they care about the people who they are creating for giving us what it is that we wanted in an end project.

This review is long overdue! Its been a year since I began working with April and I'm reflecting back on how fun and professional the project. We had our bathroom and kitchen completely remodeled and it looks and functions fantastic. I just had a baby (therefore late review) and April helped us think through this life change in regard to design and selection of materials, while keeping us to a budget which was important. I'm particularly picky and detail oriented (aka difficult), but April, James and the crew were patient, listened to my observations and concerns and responded professionally. Of course there were hiccups, as expected, but they resolved the problems immediately and when necessary presented multiple scenarios to fix it. I like options. I never felt like it was a dead end in communication which is important for teamwork. It's a year later and I'm still in love with the redo and all our friends admire the quality of work. Even now when I have a minor problem, they are quick to resolve it. I recommend working with Case as they are truly professional. A bit more $$$ but you keep your sanity and can look back with a smile.

We worked with April on a full kitchen remodel. Going in we thought we had a good idea of what we were looking for and had even consulted with other designers but April was able to surprise us with some very unique design ideas which ultimately aligned perfectly with our goals. The project work was led by James Wood, extremely professional and knows his trade well, but April stayed engaged throughout to ensure successful delivery. Challenges are to be expected with a project of this size but the team quickly addressed and communicated any issues and kept us updated to resolution. We have been living with our new kitchen for nearly 3 years and can honestly say we would not change a single thing.
