About Us

My design specialty is space planning. It all starts with the challenges of your existing conditions. Can we expand the space by removing a wall? Do you need more storage? Can we create more countertop space? Once we have the room dimensions on paper, the real fun begins. I start by creating two or three floorplan options to address those challenges. After the floorplan is chosen, we focus on the details. You will have a renovation tour guide every step of the way. This journey will improve the way you live in your home. The advantages of my collaboration: -- 3D drawings created in Chief Architect -- Color guidance that ensures a cohesive plan -- Selection assistance top to bottom from lighting to flooring -- Project management to stay on track -- Problem solver when issues come up in the field Extras: -- Attend industry shows to stay current on design trends -- Continuing education with NKBA and Rochester Home Builders -- Network with industry professionals to explore new design ideas -- Always researching products and reading shelter magazines

I worked with Mary Anne Bugnoni of Brugnoni Design on updating my 1941 bathroom. We came up with a great design to make it feel like a vintage bathroom but all new. She suggested some changes that would never have occurred to me, and she brought great taste and resources---including an excellent contractor and a master cabinetmaker--to the project. Further, Mary Anne is so easy to work with! She brings such enthusiasm and a positive, "can do" attitude to her work which made this fairly inexperienced client feel comfortable in making big--and sometimes expensive--decisions. She's always responsive and sensitive to budget. I LOVE my "new but vintage-looking" bathroom. And working with Brugnoni Design was a pleasure. I highly recommend!

Mary Anne helped design the remodel of my kitchen and dining room. It was wonderful working with her. She did a great job with the transforming the small space that i had in this 1934 house. I hired Mary Anne to design my small bathroom. At our first design meeting we discussed using black and white as our theme. She ran with that idea! The new vanity was designed to include a slim base cabinet by the bathrooms entry. This cabinet extended the countertop and added extra storage space. Mary Anne shopped for the materials and brought back options to simply the decision making process. The transformation was a dramatic! The end result is a gorgeous bathroom that worked with the existing footprint and stayed with in my budget. I would highly recommend Mary Anne for all of your design needs.

We hired Mary Anne to draw our new home in 3D. The builder gave us floor plans and exterior elevations on a model home that was compatible with our preferences. The 3D images she provided made it much easier to envision and tailor to our specific desires. Mary Anne shared specific suggestions on how the entire first floor could be improved. She reorganized the kitchen layout, enlarged the laundry room, rerouted the pantry entrance, adjusted door swings, enlarged the master shower, repositioned the front windows and more. We implemented the changes and viewed them in 3D. It looked amazing! We highly recommend Mary Anne for her space planning guidance and her trained expertise. We could have never done this on our own.

First off, I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Gary Fd Smolinsky and I'm a General Contractor out of Good Afternoon, the Naples, NY area. I had the pleasure of meeting Mary Anne through a mutual friend and after some much thorough conversation along with sharing job stories and pictures, I knew right off that I wanted to add her to my team and extend her talents to my clients. I was in the process of a current build which included a master bath suite along with some storage and closet space. It was helpful getting professional guidance in anticipation of a future home sale and move. Mary Anne streamlined the process. we shopped and previewed the tile online for the backsplash . She measured the bathroom vanity and provided countertop pricing by contacting her trade partners. All without going to a showroom. She helped me prioritize my wants and needs. Mary Anne & I met at a design conference at High Point. Our strengths are in opposite areas so we’ve consulted with one another on various projects. She is a space planning master! She looks at awkward spaces and approaches them as a brain teaser to be solved. Mary Anne is fun, creative and passionate about design.
