Very poor service Before I placed my order I asked what the turnaround was for receiving the cabinets. She told me 4 weeks to the day of when she placed the order. So I scheduled the contractor for the 5th week and also requested off work. When I didn’t hear from her after 2 weeks about the delivery date I called her. I was sent an email several days later stating the delivery date was 6 1/2 weeks from the order date. I called and was told that was the delivery date. I said but you told me 4 weeks to the day the order was placed. She said she didn’t know why but that was the date. I told her that I could not get off work then. Could she contact someone to see if they could move up the date? She did and it was moved to the middle of the 5 week. I could work with that. Then I received an email starting to expect a hiccup in the delivery date. Oh and very time I spoke with her and said thank you she would reply with uh huh. The cabinets and the countertops are great. But the service was bad.

It was an easy decision to immediately click on 5 stars without hesitation. Each and every experience we have had with Cabinet Discounters in Columbia has been top notch. In the showroom we were always immediately greeted with a smile. The designers we had the delight to work with were knowledgeable and listened to what we were looking for. They narrowed down the choices for us so we weren't overwhelmed (because there are a lot of choices!). Once we made our selections for cabinetry, countertop material, and hardware it was a smooth and timely experience for them to come out and complete the measure. Every aspect was an enjoyable one where we felt taken care of. Even when there was a minor issue where our contractor accidentally installed an outer cabinet into the corner, a new outside panel was sent within days. Countertops were installed with skill. In short, we are 100% satisfied with Cabinet Discounters of Columbia and highly recommend them.

I cannot say enough about the quality of the services and the tailored customer support Cabinet Discounters provides. I recently had a kitchen and bath renovation. the communication was excellent, timeline was right on schedule without any delays . The staff are very responsive and helpful all throughout. Special shout out to Tess Moran who is an expert and helped me navigate uncharted territory as I had not done a renovation before. If i could give 6 stars i would!!!! Highly recommend.

We are renovating 3 1/2 bathrooms. SueAnn Dressler and Ramzi Haddad have been wonderful to work with. We told them what we wanted and they took it from there. They have designed the bathrooms beautifully and helped us select everything from cabinets to tile and bathroom fixtures. The tile and fixture companies they recommended were excellent. Their attention to even the smallest details was perfect. I would highly recommend them!

A truly professional group of people. Not only did they help me design a kitchen that met my needs and space they also provided me with quality products and an exceptional team of installers and service professionals. Cabinet Discounters managed my entire kitchen remodel, from beginning to end. Their staff worked with me for scheduling and coordinated all the service professionals involved in the project. I was really impressed by all of the Cabinet Discounters staff: they know their subject areas, are efficient, gracious, professional, informative and knowledgeable. They have also put together an impressive group of quality service companies to take care of every aspect of the project. I have heard many a story of remodel horrors, but this was definitely not one of them! It was a smooth experience throughout and I am grateful to all who were involved in giving me an awesome kitchen.

Our neighbor had used Cabinet Discounters which made use realize there was a location close to us in Mount Airy. We went in to see what Cabinet Discounters had to offer and we immediately connected with Wendy Ames. The most important part isn't necessarily cabinets from one store to another as they're generally the same, but rather the experience working with the designer and staff. Everybody was extremely helpful, especially Wendy and the Countertop folks. I did the renovation myself (with help from family and friends) and they were very accommodating. For example, when the cabinets were delivered, one of the base cabinets in the island was damaged. They allowed me to set the broken cabinet to do the countertop measurements and delivered the outer countertops one day and the island another after the new cabinet arrived. This was incredibly helpful to giving us a mostly usable kitchen weeks sooner. This was the type of service that I received and was invaluable to keeping my project on track. We are extremely happy with the outcome. Our kitchen is perfect for us and fits the house much better and makes great use of the space

Doreen Bliss at Cabinet Discounters Olney Showroom gave us very helpful advice on our kitchen remodeling. We knew in general what we wanted, but Doreen helped us to narrow it down and had many helpful suggestions. Once the remodeling started we were given a detailed day by day schedule. The delivery people and installers were all very professional and neat and finished on the date given. We are very pleased with our new kitchen and have gotten many complements on it.

Everything that was promised from skilled workers professionals, quality cabinets and other peripherals and people who were just pleasant to be with. Everything was done as scheduled everyone were cleanly quickly and efficiently. My new kitchen is my favorite room in my house and works efficiently for me. As a partially sighted person this kitchen allows me to be self-sufficient and independent.

Premature rating...rookie move on my part. Delays from cabinet warehouse and challenges lining up subcontractors. Without kitchen for couple months. I'll revisit a review if/when project gets back on track...

I can’t praise Cabinet Discounters enough. Their cabinets are beautiful, and the installation went wonderfully. Joe Inscoe made sure that everything went well. He even corrected a mistake I had made in ordering by sending away for replacement molding and having it installed quickly at no additional cost!

Cabinet Discounters gave me the kitchen of my dreams. I worked with Ramsey from their Chantilly office. His design incorporated my wants and added things I had not thought of. The material selection and install exceed my expectations. When we hit a few bumps in the road (and what major remodel doesn't) they were great to work with. 6 months after completion, I can honestly say I love my kitchen and would not change a thing.

Beyond Expectation. The kitchen and Bath are darling and Kim O'Conner from Cabinet Discounters was amazing. She made sure all was well, throughout the entire process. She designs manages and inspects for perfection. She recommends fixtures lighting and mates paint to the counter tops. She gets the FEEL a customer is looking for by suggesting the perfect cabinetry and counter tops. Kim has a keen sense for how things work together, a necessity when creating and implementing a remodel or new construction. She has a keen eye for correctness, never missing a beat. Kim was patient and knowledgeable. The staff at Cabinet Discounters are all welcoming and fantastic to work with on all levels. I would HIGHLY recommend this staff, but especially my designer, Kim as she made sure everything went smoothly with the utmost professionalism and grace. I owe her for my happiness!

Her ideas were original, current and complete, involving all aspects of the kitchen not just the cabinets. She had lighting, flooring, finish, countertop and fixtures ideas that took the kitchen from really nice to extraordinary and WOW! Her communication was precise, thorough and stress free. We have used Cabinet Discounters for a complete kitchen remodeling. The design, cabinet and materials selections were excellent and so was the workmanship. They performed excellent design services, cabinets and materials on second kitchen remodeling. They also provided materials and cabinets for a bathroom remodeling. We have also purchased other cabinets.

Cabinet Discounters did built-in shelving and cabinets in my living room. I cannot imagine the room without them. They are absolutely gorgeous.

I've used Cabinet Discounters to replace a full kitchen three times at three different properties in 2010, 2014 & 2018. They have done excellent work in a timely manner for a reasonable price. I could not be happier with their product quality or the workmanship performed in each case.

Cabinet Discounters converted a 5'x7' full bath with a bathtub to a full bath with a shower. The project lasted a bit less than two months. The project included moving the bath's drain to a location appropriate for a shower, installing tile in the shower and floor of the bathroom, installing new cabinetry, plumbing fixtures, and countertops.

Cabinet discounters provided us with a custom design, our own personal assistant who helped us from beginning to end and lots of great options to choose from. We are extremely happy with the end result.

From the very beginning, we were extremely pleased with the service we received from Victoria Jordan of Cabinet Discounters in Annapolis, MD. Our kitchen remodel was a DIY, and Victoria’s expertise in general contracting was very beneficial in scoping the remodeling effort. Victoria spent many hours with us on a Friday evening, past closing, to help us choose our cabinets, counter top, hardware and molding, so that we could take advantage of an end-of-season sale. Victoria went the extra mile by providing us with incredibly useful information for choosing appliances, flooring, and lighting. Our project included removing walls and adding an island. Victoria came to our house for measuring, and to ensure that our layout was the best for our kitchen remodel. After a ten week process, our dream kitchen and updated master bath were completed and the finished product is beyond all of our expectations. We were pleased with the professionalism, the ability to adapt, the pricing and the problem solving of everyone at Cabinet Discounters. Although we spent more than we expected (HGTV feeding false expectations) we feel it was worth every penny.

Previously, they remodeled my kitchen and I was so pleased that I returned to Mary Banas, designer, and her team. The entire project was managed on time, on budget and within scope. I am a white collar worker, with an extensive background in agriculture, arboring, and residential construction. I do not have a current relationship with Cabinet Discounters regarding cabinets, but thought a recent event was worthy of mention regarding their marketing methods by one of their truck drivers. I was having a rough morning today, and one of their drivers paid for my breakfast while at a McDonalds Drive through. It made my day!! Of course, I couldn't pay for anyone behind me given that there wasn't anyone (passing on the gesture). It also made me take extra notice of their business. I hope this is a business practice - regardless, it was appreciated. As such, it is refreshing to see a business where their MBA's understand that real revenue is gained through 'long-term' relationships with customers, rather than 'quick cash' at the expense of the customer. As such, having a top-priority focus on customer service, and 'getting value defined by customers to customers' isn't limited to cabinetry, but is an infused corporate mindset extended into every day life. As Walt Disney stated to his ranks, "No executive is more important than a worker..if trash is to be picked up, everyone will take the time..if a customer has a question, everyone will make the time..our business IS the customer". My husband and I have been very happy with the kitchen design help we received from Joe Inscoe at Cabinet Discounters, and the prompt, efficient, professional way the entire project has been scheduled and managed. A review below I provided the Manager, Dave, at the Olney Cabinet Discounters. I wanted to let you know about the very positive experience my wife and I had with Tony Staffa. We wanted to let you know that we had a great engagement with Tony. We had spent years waiting to renovate our kitchen and saw a couple in-house professional designers (very expensive) and a number of contractors that offered to design the kitchen at a high price. We did not feel comfortable with any of them for various reasons and continued to delay our kitchen project. When we met Tony and learned of the design approach and the services with Cabinet Discounters we felt comfortable and good about proceeding with the project. Tony was very professional and engaging and it felt right to go ahead and design the kitchen with his skills and experience. As a part of this project, we started with the early design (in the Spring 2018) with intentions to wait until the Fall (2018) time frame to execute the project. I managed it myself by pulling together all the resources per a plan including your cabinet and counter installation resources. Throughout this process, Tony did a great job managing all my wife's and mine adjustments and/or questions as we moved closer to the start date. We were grateful to have someone so patient and caring about our project and happy to help us with all our questions...and we had many prior to to the start, during and after. Further, he helped sort out some confusion a few times with the installation team. And after the project was mostly completed and we had some issues, he was responsive to addressing them and ensured we had satisfactory resolutions. It was a great pleasure to work with Tony on such an important project as I noted we waited many years to finally invest our money and time in this kitchen renovation. We were impressed with his professional manner, knowledge, responsiveness and friendly attitude. We have already recommended and voiced our pleasure about this experience with neighbors and friends with a specific point about how enjoyable it was to work with Tony. Cabinet Discounters Annapolis, Maryland did an absolutely beautiful job in our kitchen. I highly recommend the team led by Joe Inscoe (designer) and Joe Menlo (I believe that is his name), our installer, who performs high quality work and provides excellent customer service. Joe M. accomplished everything well before the expected schedule, helped us with our part, gave us excellent advice on maintenance, and was wonderful to work with. We will definitely use Cabinet Discounters Annapolis again.

Mike Bliss of Cabinet Discounters, Gaithersburg is professional, knowledgeable about kitchen design, and a joy to work with. He guided us through the process, offered expertise and helpful suggestions, and followed through to ensure everything went smoothly. The cabinets are beautiful and high quality. The only thing discounted is the price; service and quality is exceptional. (Cabinet cost in the range $20-30K.)

Love the cabinets. The staff is great. Everything came in on time per their estimates. My only complaint is that the touch up kits aren't easy to use and don't match that well.

We were generally very pleased with the design services and the quality of the cabinets is top notch. Our projects consisted of a full kitchen renovation, a basement wet bar and a master bathroom in a DC rowhouse. Both the kitchen (pictured) and master bath were A+. Challenging row house issues were identified and addressed in advance in both spaces. There were some attempts at unnecessary upsells - such as a drawer insert that takes the place of a knife block that cost $100 more than a regular drawer insert with slots for silverware - but it seems like every vendor involved in a home renovation does that. However, the wet bar didn't come out as well as we'd hoped. The original design proposed by our designer was way over the top and wouldn't have fit the space due to the low 7' ceiling and radiator pipes that infringed on the space. That led to the removal (by us) of upper cabinets and some other changes to bring the cost down a bit. Despite that, our designer missed the fact that the drawer on one of the cabinets can't open fully (see other picture) due to a support beam. While others - including us - missed that, I consider our designer to have primary accountability, especially given that she came to the house during construction to take measurements. Had that issue been identified at that point, we could have further tweaked the design and purchased one fewer cabinet and shortened the counter, saving at least $500 and opening up the space significantly. Oh, well. The kitchen is truly gorgeous and came out exactly like we wanted!

We are very happy with our cabinets from Cabinet Discounters. They have lots of choices and their cabinets are very high quality. The delivery process was efficient and timely. The cabinets fit perfectly into our space. Their customer service was good and they replaced a damaged cabinet door immediately. We would definitely use them again.

We worked with Lisa Callahan on the remodeling of our three bathrooms. She helped us to design the bathrooms and to select the materials. She was very knowledgeable and professional. During the installation, I wanted to make a change to one off the bathrooms. I dreaded calling Lisa to do this, but she made it happen. We love our new bathrooms!

I was very pleased with cabinet discounters. I had a leak under my sink a year later, the problems was promptly fixed by the company. I am still enjoying my new kitchen. I would recommend this company to everyone. The work was done in a timely manner.

We used Cabinet Discounters-Springfield Virginia to completely renovate and update our Kitchen. We are extremely pleased with the high quality results, as well as how smoothly the process went. Our designer, Lois Elliot, was a pleasure to work with. Her attention to detail and patience in explaining the pros and cons of various options was invaluable as she educated us and guided us through the decision making process. She drew up detailed plans for all the different components of the project and assisted us in making all of the selections, including the tile and granite which were purchased from different suppliers. Lois was always calm, professional and prepared. During the design process, she brought in the carpenter to verify that some of the structural changes desired would be feasible at reasonable cost. Once the design was approved, and the granite, lighting and tile were selected, we got handed off to the installation team who provided us with a day-by-day schedule. We were impressed that our project started on exactly the day it was scheduled to start. However, we were even more impressed that the project was completed on exactly the day it was scheduled for completion, despite the fact that the five week timeframe included the Thanksgiving holidays! The final cost was also exactly what we were expecting. The end result was a beautiful, highly functional kitchen that feels much more open and has substantially more usable, convenient storage space. The workmanship for the tiling, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry was all first rate. In addition, Cabinet Discounters as an organization came through when the unexpected occurred. When our tile person had to go out of country, they were able to line up some one else to fill in his place between Christmas and New Year’s. When we had the power go out on our refrigerator late on a Saturday night, the electricians were notified and on the phone with us within the hour working through the process. We were very impressed with the organization’s ability to track and follow through on issues. The bottom line is that we are very happy customers who are enjoying our up-to-date, attractive, functional kitchen! When we have another remodeling project, we will be sure to contact Lois at Cabinet Discounters to help us again.

We remodeled our small 55 year old kitchen that only has a skylight as it’s natural light source. We were so pleased with Tessa’s guidance at Cabinet Discounters in Springfield. She had lots of excellent suggestions for this update while taking into consideration our needs. We plan to use her again for bathroom remodeling. Cabinet Discounters is the best!

When it was time to remodel our 30+ year old kitchen, I knew three co-workers each with unique styles were delighted with their Cabinet Discounter kitchens, so the first decision was easy. Tessa Kolmus, in the Springfield showroom, designed their kitchens and ours. Tessa was a delight to work with, firmly guiding decisions and keeping the project on track. She was patient, her design suggestions made sense and she was fun and full of energy. I had definite ideas (clean cabinet lines, stacked back-splash tile) and specific features (under cabinet lights, lazy Susan, trash and compost bin) and Tessa helped us with all those details without breaking the budget. Installation was a breeze despite our having guests and packing for a week at the beach. The craftsmen were excellent: our cabinet installer, James, and his assistant were incredibly precise and particular while installing our beautiful Brighton cabinets. What I found particularly telling was the craftsmen praising the work of each other. The tile installer asked for the name of the counter-top installer, the counter-top installer said how perfectly the cabinets were installed. Cabinet Discounters works with awesome craftsmen. Artisans praising artisans, high praise indeed! We are super happy with our new kitchen!

We decided to update our hall bathroom. We had worked with Cabinet Discounters twice before when we remodeled our kitchen and created a study. As a result, selecting Cabinet Discounters for a vanity was easy. Again, the knowledge of the professional sales staff and designers was exceptional. We outlined the functionality we were looking for and the general aesthetic of the bathroom. The designer had captured on paper what we were looking for within 30 minutes. When the actual vanity arrived, the quality of craftsmanship was superior and the look was spot on. If the need for cabinetry arises again, I know where we will go, Cabinet Discounters.

We were very pleased - Katie Kieler helped us with design, product selection, agreeing on price, and stayed in close communication with us and with the installing contractors through demo, installation, plumbing, electric, punch list and final pictures. She was very attentive to our customizations and requests and made her own very helpful suggestions in the design and product selection phase. She stayed on top of the installers and made sure everything was done right. We had a great result in a relatively tight space that demanded the most of design and selection to achieve functionality and storage and look we wanted. Pricing was very fair and much lower than many in our area - we were very satisfied and would recommend Katie and CD without reservation. Thank you!!

Unbelievable and horrible - cabinets came through the delivery without padding, 12 of 17 doors damaged, scratched or warped. Now the whole kitchen project delayed for God knows how long, in limbo now. Customer service is unresponsive. Gaithersburg, MD office. Would never recommend them.

We love our new spacious kitchen from Cabinet Discounters! Tess Moran from the Gaithersburg showroom is the ultimate professional! She is an amazing designer and created a beautiful, functional kitchen that suits our family and our budget. Our project involved major construction while removing walls, moving plumbing and a total tear out of old cabinets and appliances. We renovated out 34 year old kitchen. The work was done in a timely fashion. Jim O'Neil, our sales person, could not have been more wonderful. All contractors were a pleasure to work with. All cabinets were removed and new ones installed, new appliances installed. We love it.

Tessa Kolmus at the Springfield location did a fantastic job designing our cabinets. She had great ideas and was punctilious in getting the details right. Highly recommend working with her, our kitchen design is perfect thanks to her guidance.

Our general contractor complimented on how all parts and pieces went to together and that the quality of cabinets were exceptional. after we were finished they helped in the remodel of kitchen for our daughter's town home which also went as well for her .

we have used Cabinet Discounters twice, initially at the rave recommendation of discerning friends. They installed a new kitchen for us and updated 2 bathroom vanities. They were fantastic to work with, very professional, very patient and they work to a very high standard. I couldnt' be happier with their work and the finished product. The affiliated companies they work with were also excellent and I was very happy with the choices on offer. Designers were very helpful and very professional, very accessible. Price was very reasonable, given the high quality of the product and the work.

We found beautiful cabinets (Brighton) at a very good price. Cabinet Discounters is full-service, and we got all of the cabinets, drawer pulls and granite countertop from them. It was easy to work with them, and having renderings of the finished look allowed us to make changes rather than make mistakes. All of the effort invested on Cabinet Discounters' and our part paid off, as we are very happy with the final result, and have exactly the kitchen we'd hoped for.

My experience was terrific. So much so, when it came time for our son to remodel the kitchen in the house he recently purchased, he too looked to Cabinet Discounters to help. My kitchen remodel experience began at the "orange" store. We got began with a kitchen consultant that hadn't been trained yet. She took weeks to provide us with our first iteration, which I hated. Convinced my wife we needed to look elsewhere. After some cajoling and a recommendation from a co-worker, we made an appointment with Cabinet Discounters. Now this was amazing! At the conclusion of our 2 hour (1st meeting), we had a detailed plan in hand of our new kitchen. We did make a few changes, mostly adding cool cabinet features, but really didn't change much from the original. Now that it's done and installed, the true test is would we have changed anything. And honestly, the answer is a resounding NO!

Meg O'Neill with Cabinet Discounters in Annapolis, MD was amazing to work with. Coupled with the ideas that I came forth with from favorite photos on my own Houzz account and her expertise I ended up with a beautiful and functional kitchen and master bath which transformed my home. I was also very satisfied with the craftsmanship and quality of the finished product. The word "Discounters" initially scared me away, I am happy my contractor insisted I visit. One of my neighbors is working with a competitive costly firm and her comment when she saw my kitchen was "wait until I tell me husband what a mistake we made". I recently steered a good friend Meg's way and again, the finished product for my friend's much different kitchen is amazing and transforming. Great company.

We remodeled our kitchen and two bathrooms in a contemporary design which required some customization for purpose and fit. Cabinet Discounters worked closely and attentively with us to create the perfect solution. The high quality of the wood cabinets, the workmanship and the paint finishes were exactly what we ordered. Also, timely delivery and on budget as promised. Our builder performed the installation.

I can't say how wonderful this company was...we put off re-doing our kitchen for quite some time and the results were fantastic. The workers were great, always cleaned up, everything was done on time...I have raved to everyone about them..used Lois in Springfield for design and the workers again were great, courteous and always on time and on schedule!!

My husband and I are completely satisfied with our buying experience with Bill Putiri. He did everything he could to make sure we were not only happy with the cabinets and countertops but that it was exactly what we wanted. Never at any point did we feel pressured to buy. Over the past five years consisting of a master bathroom, laundry room and kitchen remodel, working with Bill has been great. Nothing worse than a high pressure sales experience. To tell the truth, I *almost* didn't go here because I was afraid of a place called "discounters". But I'm SO GLAD I DID!! Lorraine in Columbia is fantastic. She presented a number of options for us, all within our budget. She didn't push anything on us, and she listened to everything we wanted for our new kitchen. We replaced all of our cabinets and countertops, and couldn't be happier with the quality and service. Lorraine was great with the design, prompt with replies. And the workers at the house were so very quick and clean! I can't believe how clean our house was after the old cabinet removal. Would definitely recommend them to anyone~

I've worked with Cabinet Discounters on two bathroom projects. One in my home and one in a client's home. They have a great selection of cabinets ranging in quality from good, better to best. There's something for everyone here. The sales staff is nice, helpful and highly knowledgeable. I will continue to work with them for my cabinet and countertop needs.

I worked with kitchen designer, Claudia Gillespie to design and furnish two custom bathrooms. She worked well with my concept and turned it into a reality for my clients . I look forward to our next quality project.

On July 2014, we embarked on a kitchen remodeling project and purchased Century Cabinetry from Cabinet Discounters. When our contractor started to unbox and assemble the cabinets, we noticed several damaged pieces including a cracked upper cabinet carcass, sloppy paint on cabinet doors, dings, dents and scratches on various cabinets as well as glue protruding from the seam on some of the cabinets (photographs available). Additionally, most of the cabinet doors do not line up correctly. We asked to have all defective parts replaced under warranty in order to minimize schedule delays. Our contractor coordinated with Cabinet Discounters to order the warranty items on Aug 27, 2014. We were told a two week delivery. To date, we have not received the replacement parts almost one month later. Our kitchen remodel is on hold indefinitely. We have been told by our contractor that our order for replacement parts under warranty cannot be expedited. As you can probably imagine, it is difficult to be without a kitchen, let alone suffer additional delays due to what appears to be inefficient business processes and/or negligence on the part of Cabinet Discounters. Cabinet Discounters claims they are committed to providing superior customer service and only offer quality products. Really? Cabinet Discounters need to improve their quality controls, fix broken, sluggish and/or inefficient business processes for replacing defective parts under warranty. This is a major customer service issue. We will most likely never purchase cabinets made by Century Cabinetry or purchased from Cabinet Discounters again. Between poor customer service, lack of quality controls, and inefficient business processes, cabinets made by Century Cabinetry or purchased from Cabinet Discounters are not worth the extra cost savings. Do yourself a favor and purchase cabinets from Home Depot or Lowes. You will probably get better customer service.

Jim Polzin of Cabinet Discounters worked with us in 2011 on a kitchen re-do in a co-op. He's now helping us with a kitchen re-do in our house. He is knowledgeable, has a great eye for details, and he is very easy to work with.

From start to finish our experience with Cabinet Discounters (CD) was superb. Key (NOTE: VERY IMPORTANT) to the process was having an extraordinary kitchen consultant, Ms Lois Elliott, and as a result great cabinets that we love. Mid way through a small kitchen remodel we decided to include new cabinets. We interviewed three different cabinet companies including CD because three other folks whose kitchens we liked had used them and by chance they had Lois Elliott as their Designer. A word about the other two companies. One was recommended by our contractor; that kitchen designer called our existing kitchen, stupid and ugly. And while that might have been the truth, it did not endear us to him. We also looked at replacing the cabinets with the same brand we had that were 25 years old and still in fairly good shape. That designer/owner was helpful. But the price was 50% more...out of our price range. Lois took us through the design process step by step. She was incredibly patient with us. She answered all our questions and made great suggestions. She slowly guided us over several visits, there was NO rushing at all. She made a house call to do measurements and to make sure suggestions she had made in the office fit in the house. She listened to what our kitchen needs were and never tried to push us into anything that was not right for us. At one point, we got the idea of moving the refrigerator. She very kindly and politely showed us why that was not a good idea. Another example, she did not let us pick the final stain color for the cabinets without taking two favorite samples to the granite fabricators to make sure we were making the correct choice. The product: The cabinets are lovely wood, well stained and finished. The one set with glass doors is lovely, just what we wanted. We have recommended CD, (they should change their name to something more descriptive like Quality Cabinets with Extraordinary Designers. We have recommended Lois Elliott to a number of our friends. Everyone who sees our kitchen says oooh and ahhhh

While the outcome of Cabinet Discounters' work was satisfactory, the “process” was so bad we will never use them again. Numerous mistakes along the way caused the job (redoing both full baths in our house) to take twice as long. For example, the shower door installer ruined one finished bath by trying to install the door in the wrong bath. Worse, and unbelievably, CD did not finish the first bath before starting and making substantial progress on the second! The last straw, however, was that CD refused to take responsibility for making sure that the tile and grout purchased were what was needed to do the job (the customer has the nominal responsibility to buy the tile, but CD neither gave us proper instruction for doing this nor checked our work). It wasn’t just the result – the wrong grout was used in each bathroom, one of the causes of the delays experienced – but the fact that up and down the company, from the salesman and the scheduler to the troubleshooter and ultimately the co-owner, they refused to acknowledge any responsibility for the mistakes that were caused. More than one representative persisted in blaming us. This is a company to avoid.

We had a vision for what we wanted and it turned out way better than expected. The Brighton Cabinets are furniture grade, we went with Dupont Zodiac instead of granite because I didn't want any maintenance. We did a Corian back splash with a subway tile cut and now that is the in thing. We went with a floating floor that looked like ceramic tile. We took out the formal dining area because we never used it. The process took a month, but was well worth it. The kitchen is the center of the home.

I had a great experience working with the people at Cabinet Discounters in Gaithersburg. We did a complete renovation of most of our first floor, including a full new expanded kitchen. I worked mostly with Mike Bliss who is a master of his craft, but when he was not available when I showed up spontaneously to ponder options, everyone was helpful and full of suggestions. They helped me to make decisions at all levels: cabinet wood, finish, style, handles. The final kitchen is beautiful, of the best quality, and their follow up service for small things that I chose to modify was excellent.

I am still pinching my self and asking...is this really my kitchen. Upon recommendation I selected Tessa as a consultant. She was FABULOUS!!! She understood what I wanted and transformed my 1970's kitchen into a modern attractive workspace. The Brighton cabinets are furniture quality with the option to add the bells and whistles that make them convenient and fully functioning. The Cambria quartz countertops are awesome. From first consultation until final walk thru, I found Tessa and all associated with Cabinet Discounters extremely helpful and more than willing to do that something extra to make sure my kitchen project ran smoothly and I ended up with the kitchen of my dreams. We've had a complete kitchen remodel including cabinets, countertops, lighting and sink. All of the staff at Cabinet Discounters as well as the subcontractors have been thoroughly professional, courteous and friendly. All deliveries and work have been completed exactly as scheduled and within budget.

Every person we have interacted with, from Richard Fox who helped us design our dream kitchen, to the crew who executed our dream, were wonderful to work with and I highly recommend them! Richard helped us to wade through all the choices and provided just the right amount of direction for myself and my husband. He was respectful of our budget and time and assisted us with a major renovation of our kitchen (it was a complete gut job). The crew who did the work were great and always showed up on time, got along with my dogs (big deal for us!) and were great problem solvers for those crazy issues that always seem to surface with a major remodel like this. I love Cabinet Discounters! The work was completed on time. However, this project was an utter disaster. From the onset, I was under the impression that they were going to help us pick out kitchen cabinets, countertops, backsplash, lighting for a complete and coordinated look. I was mortified that after the contract was signed that this was not the case. Our kitchen is a complete disaster. This was one horrific nightmare. I had no idea that we needed a kitchen designer before we started this process. You would think that they would provide this service for you given the 40k-50k you are investing. No such thing. Thank you Cabinet Discounters for ruining my home.
