Caves Kitchens

Excellent work these guys are pros and enjoy what they do that definitely shows in the there quality keep up the great work.

My husband and i spent about 7 years in the Rochester, NY area looking for kitchen designers. I wanted someone who could make recommendations on work flow and efficient design. What a frustrating 7 years. Finally i threw up my arms and said forget it. Then we came across Caves in Clifton Springs, NY. I believe we started planning the kitchen remodel with Caves about 1 year in advance. Allison Caves met with us about a half dozen times. Each time she had a agenda and we moved forward. My husband and I both work in the kitchen, sometimes at the same time. This kitchen allows us plenty of room to work together. In the old kitchen we always seemed to stumble over each other at the one sink. This kitchen has a small island sink. The island is a master workflow area. On one end is the sink, followed by our old resanded cutting board and then a covered, smell free, stainless steel compost container. Under the cutting board is an island refrigerator. This is our main prep area for cooking and is efficient for washing produce as it comes into the kitchen (from our garden in season). Some of the additional features in this kitchen that we enjoy: . The cooking area. This is located in a corner and allows for deep 30" cabinets under the induction stovetop. The first drawer includes our herbs and spices. Allison is a very detail oriented person and on one of her visits, she measured one of the spice containers to see how many would fit in drawer.. At first i was reluctant to give up the lost space by having an angled front, but the advantages are there. Allison saw this and sold us on it. The bottom drawer is large enough to hold many pots and pans. . We also have sliding baskets to store potatoes, onions and garlic. . On the far end of the bar from the island sink, are 2 stools and across is the diswasher. Many of the dishes used daily at the bar are stored in the cabinet above the dishwasher and across from eating area. . We installed a new window over the sink that lines up with an opening between the kitchen and living room. This allows you to stand in one place and see out the back kitchen widow and then turn and look out the opening between the kitchen and living room and through the windows in the living room to the road. So light and airy. Most of the year you can see many flowers. My husband was not so sure about the opening between kitchen and living room; you do give up wall storage space, but we really like Allison's recommendation. .The wood is hickory. Allison asked us to come to the shop twice so we could pick out the type of shading and knots we wanted. Again we were impressed with the level of detail. As you look around the cabinets there is a gentle flow of lighter to darker hickory. They even wanted to know the size of knots. So if you are looking for excellent planning ideas and workmanship, Caves is your stop.

We are very pleased and satisfied from start to finish with Caves Kitchen. Jeff, Allison and their team are there every step of the way. Always willing to answer our questions, explain the steps and what to expect...our Dream Kitchen is truly a Dream !!

Jeff, Allison and their team were amazing from start to finish! Allison patiently helped us through the design, answered MANY questions, and took the stress out of the project. Jeff gave us the history and tour of Caves workshop. The quality and craftsmanship are top notch. The Caves crew is thorough, professional, responsive, and fun to work with. With all honesty this is by far the best business we have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. From the moment we met them and toured their facility we knew this would be the company we wanted to buy our cabinets from and design our new kitchen.... even shopping around for other estimates and ideas did not sway us. Jeff and Allison and their team of highly skilled professionals met every expectation and more. It's just who they are, honest, sincere, knowledgeable (in a myriad of areas) pleasant and friendly. They took the time to listen to all our concerns and gently guided us through the process and all the decision making. Despite the fact that we requested many changes along the way, numerous CAD drawings and changes in countertop choices etc. they never flinched providing us the utmost flexibility, respect and patience. Their team consists of people who have expertise in numerous areas and were always willing to talk to us when we called or stopped by. They are over the top interested in quality and getting all the intricate details correct. The woodworking crew examines every cabinet before it leaves the shop (including their custom line and their other lines) making all necessary adjustments, additions etc, resulting in all their products having a level of customization! Call them and check out their next open house, you will get a firsthand glimpse of a jewel in a quiet rural area ....a top shelf business with a hometown feel.

I would highly recommend Caves Cabinetry for their attention to detail and professional work. Allison who is a kitchen designer spent many hours fine tuning our design to maximize the flow of our space and worked within our budget. I trusted her and the great contractors her company partnered with. They delivered what they promised.

I am so thankful I hired Caves Kitchens. The certified kitchen designer, Allison was so helpful throughout the entire process. She is so knowledgeable and thinks of everything! She spends time making sure you are getting something that will fit into your lifestyle and that you don't end up with things you don't need. The whole team was committed to make sure that everything was perfect and that we were as happy as could be! I am impressed with the extra lengths that they go to to make sure that what they are giving to their customers is of the highest quality. I just wish they did bathrooms as well so I could hire them again!

Could not be happier with the fine work and service that Allison and Jeff provided. I am a chef so I know how I wanted the kitchen to function but was not exactly sure how to pull it all together. Allison was there every step of the way to guide me through the process. Both listening and providing insight into the project. This company has a bright future ahead of it.
