Our project with DDK was the complete redo of a 12 x 13 ft townhouse kitchen. Dan Thompson was easy to work with, very creative, communicative throughout, and delicately balanced differing views between my wife and me. We are very pleased with the value and quality of the cabinets and cabinet hinges/hardware. As we were redoing every square inch of our townhouse, we ended up using our main contractor for installation instead of the one recommended by DDK. Dan stopped by to discuss the installation with our contractor and promptly followed up with us on any questions. We are very pleased with DDK and recommend them among the many kitchen designers on the north shore of Chicago.

DDK was outstanding from beginning to the end. They were very focused on what my kitchen needed to do for me and were great at suggesting design ideas that would make the kitchen more functional and fun. I can honestly say it was the easiest renovation that I have ever done in my 115 year old home. They were a pleasure to work with and very concerned that I was a satisfied client. Highly recommend.

A few years ago we worked with Dana Martin to update our kitchen and family room.dana was great in helping select countertops, cabinets, appliances and her special touches like adding beadboard to the ceiling. She did a fine job of marrying details into the den area. Her attention to detail, as well as Dan was amazing!

In 2019, when we decided to renovate our kitchen and master bathroom in our condo in the north shore suburb, we worked with Nancy Henry who is an interior designer with DDK. We are happy to say that we could not have found a better design professional to work with on our project. Nancy provided the most valuable service throughout the process by guiding us on the selection of cabinetry & hardware, materials, finishes & colors, countertop, kitchen appliances, plumbing fixtures and accessories. She presented very creative ideas and patiently discussed functionality, merits and cost implications of different options and helped us make decisions which have resulted in an excellent end product of the highest quality. Nancy also suggested the name of contracting firm ED Enterprises Inc whose excellent performance and execution were as seamless and flawless as DDK team's design and procurement service. Per her suggestions, we also worked with the suppliers of kitchen countertops & floor tiles as well as the kitchen appliances and plumbing fixtures. All of them provided five star services and we are very thankful for all of Nancy's suggestions. My wife now has a very functional and very well designed kitchen where every detail has been well thought out and executed. In conclusion, I would like to add that I have written this review as a very satisfied client who also happens to be an architect. Although my professional experience of working with AE firms in Chicago area has mostly been on larger commercial and institutional projects - and not much on residential projects, I feel I can be a good judge on the performance of design and construction professionals. From my and my wife's personal experience on our project, we would not hesitate to recommend Nancy Henry and her colleagues at DDK kitchen Design Group to any one who wishes to design or remodel their kitchens, bathrooms and other areas in their homes. I have no doubt you will receive a high quality service and will join the long list of their satisfied customers.

We were impressed with Dan Thompson the first time we met him. His knowledge, experience, and creativity were far superior to the other professionals we considered. He adapted the original plans to better suit our 'age-in-place' design goals for the kitchen, master bath, and laundry/mudroom. The results are better than we had ever imagined. My original kitchen was tiny, ugly & barely functional in a building that is over 90 years old. I went to DDK because my cousin used DDK 20 years ago for her kitchen & was very satisfied. Anne Dempsey worked with me giving suggestions and support. She was generous with her time and patient with my lack of knowledge about the myriad choices to be made. Mark & Kevin did the major heavy lifting of the job. Nothing was level or plumb when they started. They removed pantry walls & a window. They removed pipes from the walls that had no purpose. They worked consistently and I had complete confidence leaving them to do their work. Now I am thrilled every time I walk into my bright, beautiful, functional kitchen. It was a pleasure working with DDK & E.D.Enterprises & I would recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic experience. When contacted Dan drew the perfect kitchen design. The next steps were easy and efficiently handled. The installation started when materials were available so there was no lost time waiting for cabinets, flooring, back splash etc. The crew doing the installation were very professional and respectful of the building and my condo. The kitchen was completed in four weeks. I wish they did more than kitchens, I would have them do every room.

Nancy Henry was helpful all the way through my kitchen and master bath remodel project. She is much more than a cabinet salesperson: she is a design professional. She is up-to-date on trends in materials, lighting, and furnishings, as well as appliances. This is my second DDK kitchen, but, since the first was approx. 17 years ago, it was my first experience with Nancy.
