I recently had the pleasure of working with Heather from Design Moe Kitchen & Bath on a major redesign of my backyard including outdoor kitchen, cabana, pool and even planting recommendations. Being in San Diego we were going for the "outdoor living" concept She nailed it! Heather possesses an innate ability to capture the essence of a concept and translate it into stunning visual designs and her attention to detail is unparalleled. Her talent and design sensibility are absolutely exceptional. She is committed 100%+ and goes above and beyond to make sure every detail is handled. The end result speaks for itself -- it is beautiful!

After several years of planning, we were ready to remodel our kitchen but didn’t know how to proceed. We had a general idea of what we wanted but struggled with the details. Honestly, we didn’t know where to turn. After some research we found Design Moe Kitchen and Bath and hired them to design our kitchen and many other elements of our home. We are extremely pleased with the results. Heather and Dan are true professionals and the value they brought to our project was beyond our wildest dreams. Heather worked hard to understand our preferred style and color palette and presented us with many options as we went through the process. Dan was excellent at bringing Heather’s design to life, while ensuring the accuracy of the kitchen design and was able to provide a 3D model so we could see things before they were built. Heather accompanied us to visit vendors and helped with the selection of our appliances, countertop, colors and tile choices. After understanding our general ideas, she was very thoughtful in advising us away from some choices that she felt we would regret. We were so pleased that she was there to guide us through each phase of our remodel. In the end, Design Moe Kitchen and Bath prepared an itemized list of actions and drawings for the bid process and for our contractor to use during construction. They then followed our project throughout the entire construction process. In addition, they acted as a go-between with our contractor whenever problems occurred. Heather and Dan stayed with us until the project was complete and wanted our full satisfaction. In addition to providing a great layout and a beautiful kitchen, it is extremely functional thanks to Design Moe’s experience with layouts and efficient kitchen organization. We now have plenty of storage but with elegance that matches our small home. We are so pleased and would recommend Design Moe Kitchen and Bath to anyone.

We hired Design Moe to update our 1980’s kitchen and master shower. Heather was wonderful at putting our vision to paper and designing a kitchen that is functional and happy to cook in. She sat down with us, walking us through every part of our kitchen, asking where items are stored, what areas we use most, etc. She provided recommendations on areas that we didn’t think about. Her attention to detail is excellent and shows throughout the process. Dan and Heather were there every step of the way ensuring our upgrades met the specifications. They along with their contractors followed COVID protocols making us feel safe and comfortable during construction. The final product is AMAZING and brings joy to my heart every time I walk into our kitchen. Our upgrade has brought in more light to the kitchen, wonderful flow and beautiful cabinets with plenty of storage. We would highly recommend Design Moe!

My husband and I recently hired Heather Moe for a kitchen and bath remodel, and we are so happy we did. She and her husband Dan came to our house several times to measure and re-measure. We went to the studio and Heather helped us pick out countertops, kitchen cabinets and hardware. She also went with us to pick out the granite slab for the counters. She referred us to an amazing contractor, Noble Construction, who were top notch. I would highly recommend Heather Moe to anyone wanting the best!

Working with Heather was a great experience! She has superb ideas, is very knowledgeable and sought to create a final space that is just what we had in mind! I contacted them for a paint color on a remodel they did . They responded promptly even though I live Texas. I really appreciate their help. Just from their quick response I would recommend them. That is rare for customer service.

I loved Heather, she has amazing ideas and is fun to work with. I had a small powder room I needed help with, her ideas were awesome and did not break the bank. I was however, very disappointed in her follow through and in the end had to change my direction a bit and finish on my own because I needed to get the project done and I could not wait any longer for her. If to for the frustration of waiting for responses I would give her a five star rating.

We can not say enough good things about Design Moe, and Heather and Dan. They walked us through all the decisions, and gave very expert, pragmatic and tangible, well reasoned explanations for each element guiding us to decisions that were based on value. They know when to resist and when to reassure and when to relent. They created for us elegance with affordability. They really listened, and rather than making us comfortable with their directions, they made us really comfortable with ours, and the end product was really outstanding. We continually get high praise for the function and feel of the space. It's bigger and better now, and all within the same footprint. The look is warm, and timeless. The project was on time, and on budget. I am not exagerating that I am entirely grateful every time I walk into this kitchen and the immediate impression I have is; "a thing of beauty is a joy forever". Remodeling being what it is, we went into it excited about the opportunity, but with modified expectations to at a minimum, avoid any major hassles with such a permanent and financial committment, but couldn't really allow myself to fully imagine how much we would love and admire the final result. Every time, every day. There is a big difference between a remodeling nightmare and a dream. Thanks Design Moe for making our dream kitchen come to life, and working with my wife's great ideas and concepts to get us all there together!!! If there were more than 5 stars, we would give em.!!!

We are in the process of a remodel and we are working with Heather Moe (and Dan Forster). Heather has been wonderful and a true joy to work with. I met with and interviewed a number of designers before choosing Heather. She clearly had the most interesting and creative design solutions for our project. We had a challenging design problem, in that we have a great room to which we are adding a lot of windows, and not leaving a lot of wall space. Yet, in this great room we need to put a kitchen, living room and dining room. Heather came up with the idea of opening a closet, making an arch, insetting the oven and stove and creating a cooking alcove. She also suggested opening the pantry to create a space for the dining room table. It is hard to describe all of this, however, she when very out of the box, and came up with a solution that is both beautiful and functional. In addition to her creativity, and knowledge of design and construction, she is also very generous with her time and ideas and has been open and supportive for all of my questions. The project is not yet finished, we will be happy to post pictures upon completion. I would, without hesitation, recommend Heather to anyone thinking of doing a remodel!

Heather at Design Moe designed my tea room (The Grand Tea Room) in Escondido and I couldn't be happier. It is absolutely beautiful. I get compliments every day from customers who say it is the prettiest tea room they have ever been to. Heather is amazing. Her ideas are unique. I sometimes couldn't visualize them as she described them but once they were done, I got it and it was beautiful. Thank you Heather for your creativity and vision. Our tea room is successful and a big thanks goes to you for that.

We hired Heather to completely remodel our kitchen in San Diego. The before and after pictures tell the story, but the fact is she was amazing. Her ideas were the best, she was always on top of even the most challenging details and the end result was phenomenal. I would love to recommend her to everyone I know, but unfortunately we moved to the east coast and though we could really use her now that we are building, she is on the west coast and we won't be lucky enough to have her creativity and design talents here with us.

Heather may have great design skills, but she has great difficulty following through and understanding budget. We waited many months for our design for our master bath and when we finally got the plans (after several months of pleading), and then got bids, the design was twice our budget which we gave her at the first meeting. It was so very disappointing, from both the cost of the plans we could not use, to the many months delay in the start of the project because of her inattention. However, she did recommend one of her contractors to us which we worked with to complete the project. Ty Weeks, owner of Installations by Design, has been great to work with. Since we were unable to use the design/materials of Heather's plans, Ty has worked with us to meet our budget and get the bath remodel we have long waited for. Would not recommend Heather Moe.

Heather had really good ideas, but extremely poor follow through. Items were routinely not ordered by Heather or there was some miscommunication with the supplier and she would neglect to tell me, so I would be frustrated because items would not be delivered on the date promised. This was a problem with the flooring, countertops and a rug. She also promised to be here to inspect the cabinets before they were installed because we bought the cabinets through her showroom. She never performed the inspection and never saw the actual cabinets until after they were installed. This caused a problem when the contractor installed a panel believing it was just a false panel, not realizing it was actually a very cool slide out spice rack. If Heather had inspected everything and gone over everything with the contractor prior to installation, this problem would have been avoided. Toward the end of the project, she really ran out of steam. There were some pantry doors that needed to be ordered, that were not ordered for several weeks and she never addressed the cost with me. At that point, I wanted the project completed, so I was willing to just pay for the doors. She "forgot" about several meetings, then offered to come over "right away" after I had already been waiting for over an hour. Her showroom is 30 minutes from my home, so "right away" meant I was still waiting for nearly 2 hours. When she did keep an appointment, she was often up to an hour late. She definitely did not value my time. Her recommended contractor was also 30% more expensive than my contractor. My finished product is really great and she chose high quality materials, but I felt that it was very difficult to get any concrete results with Heather. She is better with designing things on paper than with actual implementation. I will not be using her again.

Heather Moe is an outstanding Designer who has designed two projects for us. In both cases her design fees were very reasonable and she is able to work within your project budget. Her suggestions are practical as she strives to give you what you want within the confines of your budget. At her suggestion, we painted our kitchen cabinets instead of replacing them and spent the savings on high-end appliances and fixtures. Our family room expansion (9 feet) and kitchen remodel has greatly increased the value of our home, but more importantly made the two rooms we spend the most time in, functional and comfortable for our extended family and friends. Without Heather we would not have the great living space we have today! Heather is a joy to work with who takes the time to learn your style, and then delivers designs that are both beautiful and you. Her color and design element suggestions are spot on even when she pushes the envelope of what you think you like. We get compliments on our family room/kitchen remodel all the time. She even picked the colors (with my wife of course) for the entry, hallway, dining room and living room to complement the design. Colors we would never have chosen but once on the walls they make the house refreshingly elegant, yet comfortable. We are now remodeling the master bedroom, bath and home office implementing her design with my labor and contracting skills. We will add photos when completed.

Heather did an amazing job designing a fresh new look for our home. She is a great listener and made the project fun and easy for us. Her attention to detail and wonderful drawings allowed us to visualize the transformation, giving us confidence that we would love our "new home". And we do! The project was a complete redesign of our galley kitchen including opening it to our living and dining rooms. Some walls were removed throughout so her design encompassed all three rooms and a balcony off the living room. The remodel included, cabinetry, windows, doors, appliances electrical, fixtures, flooring, paint, decking and railings. We love the new flow of these spaces and the beauty and efficiency of our fabulous kitchen.

Heather's greatest gift is being able to decipher what you have in your head and bring it to life. She brings fresh ideas and is incredibly creative yet always considers function and form. Most importantly, she is able to figure out what is right for you as an individual.
