Distinctive Kitchens & Baths

We used Distinctive Kitchens and baths to remodel both our kitchen and our master bathroom, and we are 101% pleased with the result. The kitchen was a complete rebuild - Bill's crew actually gutted the kitchen completely and rebuilt it from scratch, adding an island with plumbing and electricity where none had existed before. The layout is both aesthetically pleasing and very functional. We had complete freedom to choose the colors and styles we wanted on every part of the kitchen, from cabinet hardware to backsplash tiles. The quality of materials and the expert workmanship really brought the project together, with the result that we now have - quite literally! - the kitchen that we've always wanted. Same story on our master bathroom. The project wasn't quite as extensive - it essentially entailed replacing the tub, but that meant rebuilding the apron around it. Bill's team were able to make exactly how we wanted it, and we now have a beautiful master bathroom. Admittedly the projects took a little longer than we had hoped, but this was mainly due to supply chain issues during the pandemic. At each step pf the way, Bill's team was back at work in our house as soon as he could get them there. The only thing stopping us from hiring this company for more projects is that we've run out of projects for them to do! But we can recommend Distinctive Kitchens and Baths enthusiastically for your kitchen or bathroom remodel! You can't go wrong with this excellent company!

I have had an excellent experience with Distinctive Kitchens and Baths. I hired them to do the cabinets and counters in my master bathroom remodel. I ended up basically moving everything I could to them as the project progressed. They were extremely professional throughout every aspect. Everyone who came in left the area cleaner or as clean as when they got there. This was about two years ago and I had a small issue with a cabinet last week and they were at my house to fix it within the week and they fixed it for NO charge. They stand behind their work. I would highly recommend them.

In the fall of 2016, we started working with Bill Wrape (the owner) and Alissa Oates (the interior designer) of DKB for a complete remodel of our master bathroom. They listened to our ideas, offered various options, and helped us make choices for the layout, design features, finishes, and fixtures. They were both extremely professional and worked diligently to implement our wishes for the completed project. All the subcontractors (eight of them!) were top-notch and executed their part of the installation with skill and care. Everyone involved in the job (Bill, Alissa, & the subs) kept us informed of their progress. Bill & Alissa were available by email, text, and phone at all times. The completed job more than met our expectations; it is aesthetically pleasing, a more efficient use of our space, and it incorporates the features that we wanted. Subsequently, we engaged DKB to update the guest bathroom and the half bath. Both projects were equally as successful as the master bath. Because of our very positive experience with the three bath projects, we are in the midst of having DKB remodel our kitchen. On this project, we are working with Bill and his interior designer McKenzie Ferrand. Again, we have received excellent advice and design recommendations; the work is progressing as scheduled; and we are looking forward to the completed installation. In summary, we can (and do) recommend DKB for projects large and small. Bill and his team are dedicated to providing excellent customer service and attention to the smallest detail.

We've used DKB for 4 major projects over the past 10 years or so, as well as several smaller projects. In each case the design was excellent and the execution of the project flawless. Bill's subcontractors are courteous and professional. Most of them on the last project were the same as the first project which speaks well of their respect for Bill and vice-versa. When the next project comes along, you can bet we'll call Bill first. I've listed the date and project cost for the last major project - a master bath remodel that included foundation alteration.

I had a horrible experience with this company. The work that was completed was done extremely poorly for the price and was not complete on time. The owner Bill attempted to over invoice me and told me he can because he left "loop holes" in his contract which he has you sign. His attorney (his cousin) will also try to intimidate you to pay more. Would not recommend this company. Many issues after the project were completed a year later were not resolved and items he did "fix" are already breaking; cabinet drawers will not open and have to be replaced on my expense. Do not choose this company.

We had a wonderful experience with Distinctive Kitchens and Baths. After building three previous homes, we decided to use a certified kitchen and bath designer for this last house we built. All of the cabinets were Brookhaven and we have been amazed at the difference in the quality of the workmanship. Most importantly, though, we were very impressed with the team of professionals we worked with to establish the design of the kitchen. Alissa Oates, a certified designer with Distinctive Kitchens and Bill Wrape, the owner bent over backwards to assist us in every way. They both always had such a pleasant attitude and were fun to work with and were available whenever we needed them. They were very knowledgeable and at one point Alissa came onsite to work with our tile installer to explain the specific design she was envisioning. The project was completed on time and within our budget. All in all, we enjoyed a very pleasant experience with Distinctive Kitchens and would not hesitate to use them again.Not only did Alissa Oates use her expert knowledge on the designed kitchen in itself but she help and work other subs on the project on the correct tile color and get the right color on the walls with the painter too

As an interior designer, it is a joy to work alongside Distinctive Kitchens & Baths as they help bring my visions and the visions of our mutual clients' to life. Bill and Alissa are extremely knowledgeable, open to new ideas and truly care about the client. I have worked with this team on several projects and am always excited for the next!

The folks at Distinctive Kitchens and Baths have been wonderful to work with. Our project was a kitchen renovation to update cabinets and finishes and generally make the kitchen more functional. We also replaced the flooring in most of the house with hardwoods. Distinctive Kitchens worked with us to stay within our budget, in ways that probably created some additional hassles for them. We were also very pleased with the availability of expert design help. Other contractors will offer some design guidance, but it was really comforting to have someone on the job who's primary responsibility was giving design advice. Distinctive Kitchens also excels in communication. I would email questions to Bill on a Saturday, not expecting them to be answered until the following Monday. Instead the response was always immediate. Our project was probably not a big one for them, but they made us feel like we were their only clients.

Everyone involved with Distinctive Kitchen & Baths is professional and knowledgeable. It was wonderful to work with both the owner and the interior designer. They were able to make design recommendations and answered any questions that we had. We will definitely use Distinctive Kitchens and Baths again.

First of all, very professional. They give you a quote with all the details up front. The workmen are very respectful of your property and do a great job of cleaning up at the end of each day's work. Alissa was always on top of everything. She was great with design suggestions.

After an abysmal and traumatizing experience with a renovation involving a local handyman, I spent quite a bit of time researching companies to complete the project on my house. I read a few reviews and perused through many websites and I found this company to be more along my style. Having recently moved back from the East Coast, I was very scared of getting involved with a "good ol' boy" company who would take complete advantage of the fact that I was a single, professional woman living in a 90's-chic house rather than a West Little Rock McMansion. From the minute I interacted with Bill and Alissa, I knew I was in the right hands. They treated me with respect and were very efficient. Any delays in the project were mostly because of me or the weather. I was surprised and very pleased with how quickly the projects were completed. I was looking to turn my cookie-cutter house into something that I could live in for many more years. They have now completed my kitchen and powder room and I have been nothing but pleased with the results. Alissa was very keen to my taste and picking the items for all 3 projects was fast and easy! They are in the middle of renovating my master bathroom and I am excited to see what happens!
