Dovetail Design

While summering in Maine I met with Donna at Dovetail Designs to discuss a project I wanted to do in FL. We went over all options and I chose the product I wanted to use. Donna came to FL to do the physical measuring. She worked with my on site contract, from her Maine office! Went without a hitch! Very professional, very personable and did not try to upset me as others had! I did another small bathroom project a couple of years later and we went thru the same drill! I was more than happy with the Plato product as well as the support from afar! I would certainly use Dovetail Design for another project!!

Donna and her business Dovetail Design were recommended to me by neighbors. We actually began discussions in 2012 but the renovation project needed to be put on hold. We reconnected in 2013 and she put together a plan within a budget to remodel 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. Donna is extremely knowledgeable, and I felt very comfortable going with her recommendations on products and design. She coordinated the work of 3 subcontractors, and made several trips to the job site to monitor progress. One negative was subs were very busy, and project took longer than I had hoped. The end product was a fantastic transformation and I would recommend Donna to anyone considering kitchen & bath design.

Donna is professional, knowledgeable and fun to work with. She is very creative and can solve design problems easily in kitchen and bath renovations and design.

We have worked with Donna for over ten years on a wide variety of projects and have found that she is always searching for the perfect combination of materials, colors, and textures to compliment her customers taste. I have seen her take many kitchen re-models from very humble beginnings to beautiful completion. As a stone supplier it is always fun to have Donna come look for materials.

When I decided I wanted to redo our kitchen, I had a rather vague idea of what I wanted. It is a very small space, so difficult to work with. Donna just came through with great ideas, like moving the stove into a corner to better utilize space hard to get to, moving the pie safe out but using some nicely designed tin on cupboard doors to recreate the same feeling. She thought of these wonderfully rough granite counters that fit into an old house. The lighting is fantastic, nice bright lights over the work area, under cupboard lights for when you don't need a lot. I never felt pushed into anything I didn't want. Donna is an absolute gem, delightfully smart and easy to work with. I can't say enough about Donna and Dovetail Design: she went above and beyond. I have one photo with Donna and me in the kitchen.
