About Us

Frary Lumber was founded in Prophetstown, Illinois in 1896 by J.E. Frary. Rock River Lumber and Grain purchased Frary Lumber in 1968. We currently have stores in Sterling and Prophetstown, Illinois. The Sterling store is 28,000 square feet which is half merchandise and half showroom. Our Prophetstown store is 4,000 square feet in size and also carries a full compliment of building materials to fit your needs. We offer Free Delivery with a complete fleet of delivery trucks.

Can’t say enough good things about Jen and Frary Lumber! They were great to work with. Jen’s design was exactly what we wanted. Quality of the products were great. Had small issue with a couple cabinet doors (my husband said I was being too picky!)...but Jen replaced without a hassle. I really appreciate everything she did for us. Would highly recommend!

We are taking a long time to decide what we want, but she is there guiding us along the way, and informing us of new promotions as they come along during our planning process.
