We had Frey work on our house on a fairly substantial remodeling project, and I would summarize the work they did as excellent. The project we did remodeled a huge section of our kitchen and dining room building a second story even. They helped us through every step of the project. From the initial design estimates, to iterating on our ideas and providing feedback, to helping select trims and finish, and then building the entire extension. They were always patient with us when we needed more time to think about the project, but they were always immediately responsive when we needed their input. They are certainly a premium contractor, but for a project of that scale, it was not something that we could have ever hoped to accomplish on our own. It certainly made sense for us to pick a excellent contractor who would be prepared for every scenario. And that is what we got with Frey. With a project of this size, I think common knowledge would cause the average person to assume that there would be substantial delays and setbacks. but the entire time we worked with Frey, there from the day they broke ground to the day it was done, they didn't slip a single deadline. Their staff was always incredibly professional. The subcontractors that they worked with were top notch. You could tell that the people who were here working on our home really cared about the project and wanted to make it good and make it right, and they would redo parts of it if they weren't done correctly. we really appreciated the attention to detail. There were many times when I thought that they went above and beyond to help make the remodeling project go smoothly. Notably, they helped move all of our appliances and counter surfaces into our living room so that we could continue to live out of our living room while our entire kitchen was being demoed and remodeled. It wasn't work that they needed to do, but they were more than happy to help. If we ever needed to do another large scale remodeling project, they would be the first people we would call.

Frey remodeled our bathroom this winter 25-26. They replaced our roof in 2018, and put on siding in 2022. We trust them to do quality work. They are easy to work with and listen to what we want out of a project.

From beginning to the end, our custom kitchen renovation was smooth and professional. The Frey team and sub contractors guided and engaged us living through the design, demo and installation process. As questions arose, we always had a quick response and the final product shows detailed craftsmanship. We very satisfied and excited about the results. Documentation of the process was top notch and detailed. This was our 3rd home construction project in the last 4 years and the most complicated. Frey will be our first call for our next construction project.

Frey Construction installed 26 new windows into our home. They did an AMAZING job! The product they installed looks amazing and has a great warranty. Very happy with the product. The team who came out to my home daily was amazing. Daniel, Anthony, Nick, Garrison, John & Tim were extremely professional, arrived on time daily, showed respect to my home and property and genuinely are all very nice people. I cannot say enough good things about Frey Construction and the work they did on my house! I had the entire house reinsulated with spray foam, more insulation in the basement and attic, new windows and doors installed, and new siding, soffit, and gutters - all completed in just over 3 weeks - and my house looks AMAZING (and is better able to keep the cool in this summer, and the heat in when winter comes, which was the goal of the work)! After spending my first winter in my 125 year old house, I started looking for support to make my house more air tight to stop the heat loss. The representatives from Frey went through all of my options with me to make sure I found the best solutions that would work best for me and my budget. While Frey had a higher estimate than others, it was clear from the process that they were taking the age and condition of the house into consideration - so my contract was the final price, with no change orders caused by the "surprises" that come up while doing extensive work on an old house. They were incredibly efficient and professional throughout the process. Once the work was scheduled, they had very tight coordination between the teams for demo, insulation, doors/ windows, siding, and gutters, so that they could finish as soon as possible. The team leads were all great at communicating whenever a question arose, and truly did everything to make sure the project was successful, not just meet the minimum expectations. And the results really do speak for themselves, my house is gorgeous and more comfortable / energy efficient for the summer and winter. I will absolutely use Frey again for future projects, and have already recommended them to friends and neighbors.

In the world of "Get the job done" and "Get the job done right" Frey is one of the few that is clearly in the "Get the job done right" category. We went with Frey based on the recommendation of a neighbor and we were not disappointed. Due to hidden damage that no one could have anticipated, the job took much longer than anticipated with the crew working in bitter cold and never complaining--J.J. and his team were phenomenal and went above and beyond. If you get multiple estimates and Frey is higher, remember, you often get what you pay for.

We are very happy with the overall experience we had working with Frey Construction on our soffit and gutter replacement project. They communicated with us very clearly throughout the process, and the finished product is just what they said and is extremely attractive. It makes our 60+ year-old house look new! They were able to start the project a few weeks earlier than originally scheduled and completed it in a timely manner with little to no inconvenience to us. A nice touch was the porta potty that they had delivered for their employees. It makes me think that they value their employees, and employee satisfaction is an important factor in how well they do their job. We would definitely hire Frey Construction again for another home project.

We worked with Frey to renovate our home in the Sunset Village neighborhood with an addition that nearly doubled the size of our small house. It has been a complete game changer for our young family and we are so happy with the experience! Designers Sam and Ben were with us every step of the way, ensuring our comfort with initial sketches and selecting fixtures all the way through to final project photography. Project Manager Aaron kept us updated on a daily basis and was super flexible in helping us manage new details when our second child was born early in the middle of construction! For a homeowner, getting a new roof is a big deal! It’s expensive and it’s a major job. We did our homework and got additional quotes. We researched the BBB, Angi, etc. ratings. When we met Grant, we knew we found the right company for us. He listened to what we wanted and gave us exactly that. He got us addresses so we could decide on a shingle color. The office staff kept us informed. The dumpster was put exactly where we asked. The tradesmen were amazing! They were so respectful of our landscaping around the house. They protected our doors and windows. Our neighbors were in awe of how hard they worked all day and in a pretty good wind. We actually didn’t see much because we were inside staying out of the way but we got a few perimeter walk around looks. We noticed that the foreman was hands on with his workers doing what we considered the really complicated areas like the “eyebrows” on the front of the house. The gutters and downspouts were done the next day and they look and work great! We felt like each part of the project had gone through some form of benchmarking because each part was executed so well and all we had to do is pick the right company and write a check. And we thank you for that! You can be sure to hear from us again for our next project. Thank you!

New Roof on House and Garage. Project #3 with Frey Construction was a success and I am very happy with the results. Your staff is amazing! Grant was so very helpful making the roof selection. Ashley was always prompt and helpful with answering my email/questions/concerns. Nick ( I think they call him Farmer) was the first on site at 7 am and the last to leave in the evening. He was efficient and always so helpful with all of my questions/concerns. Justin was also available and monitoring the project. I was absolutely in awe as the "redbox" driver moved the dumpster and placed it next to the house. As well as watching ABC Siding back up my driveway and unload the shingles on the garage and house. I took videos and photos. The company that repainted and kitchen ceiling was also great and you would never notice that it had been patched. We contracted with Frey Construction to replace porch railings on two porches, porch stairs and railings for front and back porches, porch decking, and several storm doors. The house is over 100 years old so there were some unique challenges that required some custom work and materials to complete the project. The Frey team did an excellent job with helping to select and order the best materials for the work. The construction teams provided great workmanship, kept the job site clean and orderly, and were on site each day as promised. We are totally satisfied with the end results and plan on contacting them in the future for additional projects on the house.

We hired Frey for a really large remodel that included refinishing or replacing all floors, gutting and rebuilding the kitchen, removing and/or shifting walls, gutting and rebuilding 2 large bathrooms, and more. We worked on bids from both Frey and a competitor. Both provided very similar cost estimates, but Frey provided a much more comprehensive report, listing all aspects of the project and costs. With Frey, we worked closely with the designers from the very beginning. The other company introduced us to their designer, who we talked to for 5 minutes at the end of the bid process. The designer was critical to our project, so we were much more comfortable with Frey. The time estimate for the construction completion was long, but it was also the same as the competitor. It was reasonable for the amount of work to be done. We were not living in the home with the construction, so timing wasn’t urgent for us. The work moved along very steadily. There were only minor issues faced along the way. With any project, there will be hiccups outside of the contractor's control. How the issues are handled is what makes a great company. Frey handled all concerns quickly and to our satisfaction. They were always open to communication and were very responsive to questions. In the end, we were able to move in a couple weeks earlier than originally planned. Everything turned out beautifully and just as we had planned. We are very excited to be in our newly remodeled home! We highly recommend Frey to anyone looking for a reliable, well managed, and high quality construction company.

The people from Frey Construction that completed our project were top notch. From Zach Peterson, that reviewed the house and provided a detailed and complete estimate, to the team that tore off the old roof, insulated the inside of the attic, replaced the roof and cleaned up. Everyone was awesome! Very friendly and professional. There was a point where the insulation was taking longer than expected (because they had to tear off the plywood so they could foam insulate the vaulted area of the house), so the team couldn’t be on the roof tearing off the old shingles. Once the foaming was completed, a van and bus showed up and guys popped out everywhere; swarmed the roof and quickly finished the tear-off. As soon as they were done, they were off to another project. This put the project back on schedule. Very impressive! I will definitely recommend Frey Construction to others. We used Frey to demolish a double story wooden deck and replace with composite as well as build a screened in porch, replace windows, and remove a door and replace with windows. They did an AMAZING job!!! Everyone we worked with was great. They were extremely knowledgeable, very responsive, and definitely knew their trade. They provided great recommendations, while still giving ample (but not too ample to get bogged down) choice as to what materials, fixtures, look, etc we wanted. Kyle Schluter in particular was phenomenal to work with. He helped us create a design that we loved before we embarked on construction and then made sure that we were happy and comfortable with the project and progress every step of the way. In addition to Kyle we worked with 2 primary guys - Ben and Joe on construction who were fantastic. They were always very considerate, fun to work with, fast, and did a great job with their craft. The whole team made the process as painless as it could be with minimal disruption to our every day lives. There was never a dumpster in our yard (they hauled away trash and debris daily), and minimal setup that stayed in our yard and garage over night. They also were very fast-from start to finish it took about a month but most of the construction was done in 2-3 weeks. We love the final product and would highly recommend to anyone looking for any type of deck, screened in porch construction, or window replacement.

Great job and everything very efficient and professional! We noticed, however, that they didn't clean the windows after the replacement of the large upper window (requires a tall ladder) and the door installation. Would have been a nice touch! Left their fingerprints and smudges behind. :-)

We had Frey Construction reroof our house, replace the gutters and add gutter guards. While balancing inclement weather conditions, equipment failure and a tight schedule, everything was handled in a professional way and all were accomplished within a very reasonable timeframe. TL:DR -> you won’t regret using Frey Construction for any of your interior or exterior work projects. I needed some exterior work on our second floor dormers, so I immediately called Frey Construction. We had used them for a 100K+ first floor remodel two years ago, and the work they did then was reason enough not to consider anyone else. The wood on the dormers was prone to rotting due to the way they were built, and I asked Scott what we should do about it. He recommended the Seamless Steel cladding option to protect what was there and prevent further water damage. Everything about the process was easy and straight forward, from the quote to the actual work being done. The final product looks fantastic and the crew that did the work was friendly and polite. I look forward to continually using Frey to improve the quality of our home.

We had a complete gut remodel of our main bathroom. We are very pleased with the attention and detail and the communication and ability to work with us given the supply chain problems that are current. Johrie our designer was a joy to work with and Ashley went above and beyond in making sure everything was done correctly.

After a wind storm took off some shingles, we needed to replace our roof pretty quickly. Frey got us in right away and were great to work with. From sales to the office staff and crew, everyone we worked with was amazing and full of knowledge. Not to mention the bonus of receiving cookies in the mail as a thank you gift!!

Perfect! The assessment and evaluation was excellent. They explained every step of the process and what they needed to do. The office staff maintained excellent and frequent communication. The workmen arrives promptly and worked long days to get in and out. The painters and sheet rock people were neat, draped all furniture, and cleaned up thoroughly. After 18 years of the initial remodeling project (windows, doors, roof, insulation, siding) I noticed what appeared water damage behind the siding in the corner between the house and garage. Scott Frey assessed the matter and found indeed a rotting plywood sheet. Scott sent one of his employees (JJ) to repair the problem. JJ was very courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and had excellent craftsmanship. He completed the work swiftly and professionally in one morning. Scott stood by his standard and promise. He completed the work under warranty. A great company right in my neighborhood. Thank you.

We had Frey remodel our kitchen, laundry room and office. Working with Jenn, Mark and Ashley was extremely easy. The sub-contractors were excellent. It was very nice to have site cleaned every night when they were done. Ben, Ivan and John went above and beyond with the work they performed. We could not rate them any higher.

Frey construction was very responsive...we were coordinating the new roof and some solar panel installations and they were very good about being clear what they needed from us and from the solar company. FREY Construction Bathroom Remodel Was very impressed with the job they did. We were given a schedule for the 3 wks project so we always knew who would be there and when. If there were any changes in that schedule we were always notified so there were no surprises. All the subcontractors were coordinated very well which really made it go smoothly. The manager was there frequently to check in, making sure everything was going correctly and to keep us updated. The Remodeling Consultant helped us immensly from start to finish, especially since we did not know what we wanted or where to even start! We applaud her for doing a great job! I wanted a screen room to be built on my open deck - it was hard to even find people who would look at the project, at where I live in rural Sauk County. Frey came and talked to me, took a rough idea of what I wanted, and came back with a comprehensive design that was wonderful. They generated full plans I could take to get permits, and they got the Sauk permit for me. When they built it, the level of craftmanship , especially by the carpentry people, was really astounding - I now have a beautiful screen porch, with cedar throughout, lighting, and durable screen all around - it, and the job performed by everyone I dealt with, was way beyond my expectations. I would never go to anyone else for remodel projects.

We are very happy with our remodel! It was really nice that Frey was willing work alongside us as we did some of the remodeling work ourselves. They were very transparent with estimates, pricing, and the process in general. As with any home improvement project there were a few bumps along the way but at every bump Frey responded with fairness and with professionalism. They did exactly what was needed to make things right and keep the project moving forward. I'd also like to add that there were several other contractors we looked into before starting this project. Among the competitors there was a fair amount of chauvinism and condescension (one person even told us our project wasn't possible structurally). That was never the case with Frey. They really took their time to break things down for us as much as we needed. We are in love with our "new" home and would highly recommend Frey!

Last year we had the metal roof on our house replaced because of hail damage. In addition, we had covered gutters installed and masonry work to replace some rocks on the chimney. Will was very helpful working with the insurance adjuster. The quality of the work was impressive. This year we had snow guards installed on the roof. Next year we plan to have our garage roof replaced, as well. Frey's crews are very professional, experienced and friendly. I work in the commercial steel construction industry and have so for 25 years so I have a background in project management. All I can say is WOW!!!! Frey Construction has this process down. 50+ square tear off and re-roof in one day and they did not cut any corners. Had some roof rot around the chimney that they went above and beyond to fix. Owner of the company stopped out to check on things. Just shows how seriously they take every project! Gutter crew came the next day and removed and replaced all the gutter/downs. Like clockwork! At the end of the project one of the crew members made a comment that we are now married for 15 years....what piece of mind that if I have any issues I just have to make a phone call and if there is any workman ship warranties I am in great hands. Lots of roofing companies wanted to take shortcuts leaving us a hot roof that would void the warranty on most shingles, some companies even refused to come out. Frey came out and did a great job that we feel will last us our lifetime. This was the second roofing job that Frey Construction completed for me. They re-roofed a barn for me in 2016. I was very satisfied with the work they did then so I requested (and accepted) an estimate for re-roofing my home. Frey Construction completed the work on time and on budget. All the crews (strippers, roofers, gutter and soffit installers, office staff) were very professional and satisfied my every request. They removed to below roof line an old chimney and capped it, They even repaired a hole in my aluminum siding created by an electric company insulator at no charge. They took pains to cover and protect my wife's daylilies, and they swept the lawn multiple times with a magnet to pick up stray nails and screws. Their attention to details was exceptional and the roof and gutters look great. I would recommend them without reservation for roofing work.

I've used Frey for a couple of projects now. Most recently I had a my roof replaced. It was a great experience. They removed the above-roof portion of my disused chimney and replaced my roof at the same time. They pretty much did all the work in a single day, with a small finishing touch on the next day. This was especially appreciated with a couple of small kids at home, that meant less disruption, which was great. The quote process was easy ,fast, and competitively priced. They did the work at a time that was convenient for us. The crew was very respectful of our property, which has a lot of landscaping against the house and throughout the yard. They took care to avoid dropping things on the plants and avoided walking too much in the areas where we have plantings. The foreman was friendly and helpful and communicated with us throughout the project and explained the process. Scott Frey was also in communication with us throughout to make sure that we were satisfied and taken care of. We will definitely consider Frey for any future projects we do for our house.

On the recommendation of a friend we used Frey Construction for a bathroom remodel. I worked with Rachael who was terrific in helping me pick out fixtures, tile, vanity top, etc. and changes to stay within a budget. Our main Frey crew was Ted, Tim, Mark, and Matt and they were prompt, professional, and friendly. Their work was amazingly neat and they always left the work area immaculate. I would not hesitate to recommend them or use them on future projects. Our new bathroom is awesome!

I requested an estimate on a screen porch on an existing deck. First the estimator called and said he was running late, 40 minutes later he showed up. He verbally quoted us an estimate between $12,000 - $16,000 and we scheduled an appointment for that Saturday at Frey's office to look at the screen system. I received an email at 7:00am that Saturday morning he was canceling our appointment because he had the flu. We also paid $500 for the design of the track. We had to email Cory twice to receive the design we paid for and also the estimate. The estimate came in at $21,000. Much higher than his original estimate. Needless to say we won't be using Frey for our project

We had Frey re-do our screened-in porch for a few years ago and loved the result. So we hired them again when it was time to add on to and remodel our home. We added on a dining room, living room and deck on the main floor and a theater room and bedroom in the basement along with remodeling the kitchen, entryway, storage/toy room, basement/bar area, and added an additional bathroom.They were very easy to work with and listened to all of our ideas along with suggesting several others. The process was very smooth, and the end result was exactly what we wanted. All the pricing is detailed out for you right up front with approvals along the way for anything that needed to change (and we definitely changed our plans a few times). The only "negative" was that progress really slowed down at the tail end, and it took a few phone calls to make sure the last few finishing touches were still being prioritized. Overall, we highly recommend Frey Construction and will likely be calling them up again in the future when we're ready to update the remaining rooms of our house.

We have Contracted with Frey on multiple occasions ranging from roofing to complete facility renovation. It is noteworthy that in each project the level of professionalism and effort the workers put in was outstanding. From the start the dialog surrounding needs the foundation of the future work was built. Conceptually they just get it. They know what the goal is once you meet then suggest solutions and ideas to not only meet the budget but to make it look like the picture you have in your head. In both business projects and home projects they conduct themselves the same way. They are polite, direct and best of all they clean up after they are done which sounds like a little thing but in the types of projects we have done it is a huge benefit others do not provide. Not sure how to grade there work on a scale but out of five stars for service- communication and adjusting as needed – a big point for us -they would score a five. We have recommended Frey construction for now more than 20 years base on our very first experience and will continue to use them in any way we can as the needs arise. One final note they also give back. On one occasion when asked to help with a fundraiser and work for the local high school they simply did the project- that was not only contributing but completing what needed to be done. As a business owner and a member of the Fey family we are proud to see that type of giving.

Back in 2007 I had my roof redone by Frey, so when my sister wanted to surprise our 94 year old mother this year, with a new deck and sun-room, I recommended she contact their team. From the initial meeting with Scott, himself, to the final unveiling to our unsuspecting mother, (she'd been sent out of state for three weeks) we could not have been more pleased with this company. Being that I live near-by, I was lucky enough to be the one that checked in daily. It was so much fun to see the progress and every time I stopped by the guys were hard at work, professional, and eager to answer any questions I had. At night, the place was always cleaned up, organized, and ready for the next days project. From the onset, it was stressed the importance of having the work completed within the three week window as well as the "hush hush" of a surprise. It seemed, that all the guys on the team, thought of it as a surprise for one of their "family" and they seemed as excited about it as we did. Words cannot describe the joy that was brought to my mother that day when she saw her new deck. It is absolutely beautiful and looks as if it has always been a part of her home. I could go on and describe the sun-room, the deck, the new door (that had been a window) the new flooring but all that really needs to be said is: Frey Construction should be proud of the company they have built and the work that they do. From start to finish they are "dream makers" and I simply cannot thank them enough for an amazing job!!!

Our project was a complete kitchen and family room remodel. Overall, we were very pleased with the experience of working with Frey Construction. At the beginning of the project, our project designer told us that our complete satisfaction with the final outcome was Frey’s first priority. In the end, what impressed us most was that Frey came through completely for us on that promise. Customer service was very responsive, our project designer responded to our emails within a few hours and answered all of our questions satisfactorily each time. Project management was well organized, all parts of the project were scheduled and the materials, cabinetry and hardware that we wanted were ordered. Any issues with the building materials or work done were resolved immediately to our satisfaction. The project started on the date scheduled and in general the progress of the work adhered reasonably closely to the project calendar. Craftsmanship of the work done by the work crews was excellent, with our only disappointment being in the quality of the work provided by the one of the subcontractors. As soon we noticed problems and brought them to the project designer’s and the company owner’s attention, the subcontractor came back immediately and re-did the work to our satisfaction. The work crews were courteous and respectful of our home, trying to keep the premises clean during the work and trying not to let their materials, tools and vehicles get in our way. Frey’s original bid was a bit higher than we anticipated, but by the end of the project the final cost was within budget. For our overall satisfaction with the entire project, the money spent was well worth it! Our new kitchen and family room are beautiful and we love the way they’ve improved and updated the look of our home. We will be glad to work with Frey Construction again and are happy to recommend them to others.

We contracted with Frey Construction to shingle our house. They came to measure the roof and show us some samples and were able to give us a quote on the spot. They also gave us some advice on insulation, ventilation and a quote on new gutters. I felt that they had the big picture in mind and provided us with all the options available, not just roof replacement. We stopped at the store to look at some color samples and met Scot (the owner) who bought us dinner while we mulled our color decision. They were able to start the project the next week. The crew was very friendly, very professional and very tidy. They put tarps over the flower beds and deck to protect them as they were removing the shingles. We feel they did an excellent job, were great to work with and used quality materials. One other important item was that Frey has the best warranty on the shingles/roofing job. For the initial job set-up, we met with Mitch and Sheila; Kurt was the actual roofing crew manager. They were all great to work with. If you are looking for quality and longevity with excellent product warranty, hire Frey. If you are wanting a "quick and dirty" look elsewhere.

Frey Construction & Home Improvement, LLC was an excellent experience from the salesperson to the installers. Frey kept us informed via phone calls exactly when we could expect the installation of our new doors and sidelight and of any delays. The installers were friendly, professional and did an excellent job of installation. The doors and sidelight are of high quality and workmanship and the decorative glass is even more beautiful than I expected. We are very pleased with our service from them and would highly recommend them.

I had a phenomenal experience working with Frey Construction. We badly needed the gutters replaced on our house. The three other local companies I reached out to didn't even respond to my request for an estimate. Frey got in touch with me within 24 hours to schedule an appointment. They were at my house 2 days later, and our gutters were fully installed just one week after that! All of the employees I interacted with - from Dayna at the office, to Travis our salesman, to the two gentlemen who did the installation - were incredibly respectful and knowledgeable. We recently hired Frey Construction to do some roofing work on one of our residential properties. They were on time, on budget, on schedule, professional and very courteous.

We hired Frey for the second time to do a bathroom addition and reopen a former dining room-to-living room doorway in our 100+ year old house. They listened to what we wanted and helped us maximize a small space. Our home was cleaned up at the end of every day, and all of the guys, from the plumber to the electrician to the drywallers our awesome site manager were friendly, informative, and respectful. At each step, the work scheduled was done on time, and even with a couple of changes we asked for along the way, we stayed on budget. The construction ran through the holidays, and we had no lock on our new back door, so when we were going to be gone over Christmas, our site manager came on Dec. 23rd to install the lock for us. It was during the bitter cold weather we were having, but he worked through that bitter cold so we could comfortably leave our home for the holidays - and warmed his fingers by the stove as I baked cookies. Their work was beautiful and professional at every step, and their work has changed the flow and function of our house. We will hire Frey again and have already referred them to others. They are wonderful to work with!

Frey Construction just finished installing our new roof and siding. We have a early 1970 “pre-fab” home with vaulted ceilings. With the cost of heating, cooling and maintenance going up, up and being on fixed income, we wanted state of the art upgrade. Frey Construction looked over the house inside and out and listened to our concerns and questions. Made knowledgable suggestions that fit our concerns. After the Sales Consultants left we received a call from the Owner Scott, with more ideas, which made us feel we were understood and they wanted it to be right, very impress of and unmatched attention to detail. The Installer Teams showed as planed with a motivation, knowledge and dedication to get things right the first time. Always keeping us informed on the projects, while going the extra mile to fix unseen problems and while keeping the construction site looking organized and clean.

We have used Frey Construction for 3 different jobs over the last 5 years. On each of the varied jobs, Frey's staff demonstrated competence and professionalism in all aspects of their work. For over 30 years we had significant ice dam issues causing interior and exterior damage. Having had a previous positive experience with Frey's work on damaged windows, we finally called Frey Construction for assistance. After full review and discussion with knowledgeable Frey staff, a plan was developed and the ice dam problem was resolved using innovative techniques specific to our roof, insulation and ventilation problems. Wall vents suggested by Frey's coupled with additional insulation resolved our ice dam issue while lowering our electric costs since we no longer needed a power vent to move air out of the attic. Frey's pricing was reasonable and knowledgeable staff were at the job site able to make adjustments as unanticipated difficulties were encountered. I appreciated that Frey Construction was also willing to limit price adjustments when it became apparent plan changes were required. I feel Frey's was more than reasonable with us; there weren't hidden or unreasonable additional charges tacked on the bill when "glitches" were encountered. The end result; for the first time in 30 winters, we had no ice dams; what a relief! No more climbing on the roof to shovel. As part of the project, Frey suggested adding "Leaf-proof" gutters and downspouts. It was a good recommendation and the gutters have met expectations. No clogged gutters so no climbing ladders to clean out leaves and needles. Works for me!

Residential project - Re-roof & ventilation of 2-story, 4-gabled Farm House roof. This was a major project which included tear off and clean up of 2 layers of asphalt & 1 layer cedar shake shingles, installation of drip edge/ridge vent system utilizing metal furring strips between roof boards & OSB sheeting and installation of a complete GAF Timberline architectural shingle system. This was a competitive (4 contractor) bid process in which Frey came out head & shoulders above the competition due to: 1) Professional & customer focused response to initial quote inquiry, Sr. Sales Associate onsite visit to review/spec out project bid and negotiate final contract. 2) Scheduling (3 weeks of signed contract) & completion of project (7 business days/included rain delay) in timely fashion. 3) Customer service during project - site visit of owner, sales associate & daily conversations with onsite project manager. 4) High quality workmanship. 5) Project clean-up

We hired Frey to install fiber cement siding on our 1940's home. Their sales representative along with the person who would be our site chief met with us at least 4 times - we also visited them at their office - before there was any agreement. I would say they were very forthcoming and honest about materials - the good vs the bad for every option. I was told about problems they experienced with fiber cement - problems that caused them to stop offering the product for a time. So I felt our eyes were wide open. They were not the lowest bid by far, but they certainly did a fine job. We were happy with the crew and the final result.

We have had Frey Const. complete 3 different construction jobs for us: new windows, gutters and the latest a new roof. We are very happy with their work and honesty in doing what they say they will do. Their crew is knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. In late 2011 my wife and I decided to do a major remodeling of our en-suite master bathroom of a 30+ year old house that we have been living in for the past 13+ years. Based on our awareness of Frey’s strong reputation for their quality of remodeling work and referrals, we made the decision out of many options to go with Frey. My wife worked closely with the Frey Designer over a period of a few weeks to develop the design, selection of all of the equipment choices of custom cabinets, sinks, fixtures, toilets, reconstruction of the shower area, lighting and color schemes – we were also helped by the Frey Designer for appointments to the various suppliers to make our final decisions. We were surprised how efficiently the installation and construction process took when there were so many sequencing steps needed. The crew was always polite and very careful about working inside our house. And the Designer/Project Manager was always available to answer questions that came up during the process. And everything was completed on budget! In September 2012 when we noted our 30+ year gutters were beginning to leak, my wife and I made a decision to replace our gutters quickly, including leaf protection, so we would not have to clean out our gutters in the Fall, this year or future years. As mentioned above, we previously had Frey remodel our master en-suite bathroom and this work made a huge difference and exceeded our expectations such that we knew Frey would be our clear choice for either inside or outside remodeling. It is quite amazing the difference a beautiful bathroom area makes as to how you feel when you realize how many hours of your life you spend in your bedroom/bathroom area. Until the Frey salesman explained it to us, we didn’t realize how many options we had to get the right mix of choice for gutters to meet our needs. We chose the Absolute Gutter because it carries more water and it is seamless so leaks don’t develop like traditional gutters. And the patented Big Mouth downspout connection for better water flow away from the gutter made a lot of sense. And when we included the Leakproof gutter protection we now don’t have to worry about cleaning out leaves and debris from the gutters. The Frey installation team did a great job doing the work, was very friendly and took extra care to look after our garden plants and bushes around the edge of the house. However, when the gutters were installed late in September we got a big surprise when the job had been completed. The new gutters added a great architectural impact relative to the standard gutters we previously had. We now recognized comparatively that the old gutters had visually interfered with the line between the roof and the wall. The lines and texture of the Absolute Gutters totally merged into the lines of the roofing and the wood walls. Not only do we now have better functioning gutters, an aesthetically more satisfying look, no leaves to clean out each Fall, I know we have added value to our house. And seven months since the gutters were installed and after torrential and for what seemed like continuous rains in this past Spring, we could not be happier about how the heavy water flows immediately clear our house area. These experiences with Frey Remodeling made them the natural choice to examine the attic area in March 2013 when we discovered that too much heat was escaping into our attic area. Scott Frey came out and went throughout the attic and discovered our 30+ year insulation was no longer effective and that heat was also escaping through ceiling light fixtures. And the most critical discovery was that the 30+ year ceiling light fixtures did not meet today’s code and in fact were a potential fire hazard. The Frey team completed the insulation and replacement of 40 ceiling light fixtures during the next week, a very quick turnaround for what had become a hazard concern to us. And we have already noticed our house is warmer and will also save energy during the summer months. It is without hesitation that I can recommend Frey for any remodeling job to change the way you will feel about your house and potentially increase its value. And they have been on budget every time for major remodeling work at our home.
