Gavin Design-Build is a father-son business that had been recommended to us by a neighbor. At our initial meeting with Dennis (the dad), we were immediately impressed –he is direct, honest, and quick to respond to client requests. His estimate for the job was both fair and accurate, and we benefited from his many years of experience. John Gavin (son), master craftsman and wizard at solving unexpected challenges, did everything necessary to move the job along without sacrificing the highest quality of workmanship. All sub-contractors assembled by Gavin Design-Build were true professionals. Our original project involved completely gutting two bathrooms, as well as updating a very tired galley kitchen. We requested additional work as the project progressed, to include building a new closet, fabricating bookcase doors, and wallpapering some tricky surfaces. As with any large project, there were a few hiccups along the way – but all was resolved to our satisfaction, and we are absolutely delighted with the end result. We highly recommend Gavin Design-Build.

From the prompt response to my initial request to the daily check on the progress of the work our experience with Gavin Design Build was outstanding. They fulfilled my vision of a beautiful bathroom from the start of the design process, to the quality of the suppliers for cabinets, lighting etc, to the employees who worked in my home who were careful about my home, The remodel was completed on time and we were always kept informed of status of materials delivery, plans for the week etc. I have plans ruminating in my brain for my basement and rebuild of my deck for next year with Gavin Design Build.

We chose Dennis Gavin and Gavin Design-Build to completely remodel our outdated Kitchen. They had previously done a beautiful job in my brother's home. Our kitchen turned out more beautiful than we could have imagined. Dennis was extremely knowledgeable, patient and helpful in all aspects of the kitchen design . He provided plans complete with computer renderings which made visualizing the finished product much easier for us. Some of his suggestions turned out to be our favorite aspects of the kitchen. He and all of his workers and associates were extremely competent, pleasant, and patient. Dennis helped us find solutions to existing structural problems, rather than have us settle for less than our original vision. The job site was cleaned up daily and the job was completed in a timely fashion. We can recommend Gavin Design and Build without reservation and definitely intend to use them again in the future.

We used Gavin Design-Build Inc for our master bathroom remodel. The owner, Dennis, was great to work with and really made our visions a reality. His son, John, did the majority of the work for our project. John's professionalism, attention to detail and overalll craftsmanship made the finished product amazing. Dennis was not only willing to listen to what we wanted, he was able to make suggestions based on past experience & knowledge. All work was done on time & in budget. His crew was very responsible & professional. All areas of the work site were cleaned up each day prior to leaving & thoroughly cleaned after the project was completed. Neighbors who had seen the work done by Gavin Design also used him.

From our first visit with Dennis Gavin, we were confident that we had found the right contractor for our kitchen remodel. He spent un-rushed time discussing our needs and interests regarding the design. In a very short time, Dennis created a simulated kitchen by computer aided design that required only minor modifications to suit our functional needs and design tastes. This particular job included taking down the wall that separated the kitchen from the breakfast room area, raising the ceilings to cathedral height, installing new hardwood flooring on the whole first level of the house, and radiant heat in the new kitchen space, and constructing a stone wall around an existing fireplace in eat-in area. The price quoted was fair and the time was estimated at approximately 9 weeks. From the very beginning of the project, someone was working in our house 5 days a week. Everyone we encountered was polite and neat, and showed us and our home the utmost respect. It was evident that each of the subcontractors enjoyed working with Gavin Design-Build, Dennis kept close attention to the progress, and managed sub-contractors efficiently and without any stress for us as homeowners. His recommendations for dealers for the cabinets, granite, tiles, lighting, flooring and appliances were all highly professional, and fit our needs and budget easily. The job was completed in the 10th week, and on budget. Dennis' calm demeanor made our remodel easy to handle as home owners, and we would highly recommend Gavin Design-Build. We would definitely use them again for future design/remodeling needs.

Gavin Design-Build did a total renovation to my condominium. The project was basically a gut job with a new bath, kitchen and major renovations to electrical, lighting, flooring and the installation of real stone walls in the foyer and den. Gavin Design-Build took care of every detail after we discussed the design and signed the contract. Also, during the project I asked for additional items that were not in the contract and Gavin Design-Build was able to address every request with an addendum to the original contract and completed every request and addition with speed and precision. The contractor was on time every day and cleaned up at the end of the day. The project took ten weeks and when it was finished I had the home of my dreams.

This is the 2nd major renovation that Dennis has performed on our house. All contractors have been polite, hard-working, and wonderful to deal with. Dennis is always very easy to work with. He is an excellent architect and performs phenomenal work which holds up under the test of time. Excellent work at a fair price. Dennis has always been a pleasure to deal with.

Dennis and John from Gavin Design-Build Inc. helped us design and renovate our master bathroom. They gutted the entire room down to the studs and installed a heated tile floor, a jetted tub, double vanity, toilet, and custom shower with a neo-angle glass door and river rock floor. One whole wall of the bathroom is tiled with stacked stone cladding and we love how everything turned out! Dennis and John were great to work with and they completed the job on time and within budget. We've been using the renovated bathroom for 1 year now and all of the materials and fixtures have held up perfectly and are working well. We would definitely recommend Gavin Design-Build.
