Linda helped me with remodeling of my laundry. I liked the quality of vendors she chose, especially the carpenter. She followed my vision but added designer touch to it. Linda was detailed oriented and followed up with every request I made.

Linda helped me with a kitchen cabinet remodel for my mountain cabin, and it turned out beautiful. She came up and followed up several times to make sure that things were going right, and I had a very pleasant experience with her.

I worked with Interiors by Blackwood as the General Contractor part of a design/build team. The job consisted of a complete kitchen and bath remodel. Linda was responsive to the client's needs and wants and developed a design that fit their budget. The plan documents were concise and clear in their presentation. The selection of finish products was coordinated with the client and completed as per our schedule. This allowed us to stay on our predetermined job schedule. Any slight hiccups were addressed in a courteous and timely manner. Linda provided a very professional service.

Both my husband, Mayer, and I were so very glad that Linda Blackwood was the designer responsible for two important parts of the 2014 major remodel of a guest room into a large wing to accommodate my husband's needs resulting from his ALS diagnosis. The two rooms were the handicap accessible bathroom and the walk-in (roll-in) closet for both clothing and equipment; both turned out even better than we hoped. She also helped us find the many light fixtures for the different areas of the new wing and for the photo area of our living room. Since we were dealing with many medical issues and thus had no time or energy to visit lots of showrooms to see the many choices available, Linda's expertise and experience as a designer made the whole process of narrowing the choices an easy one. She then was able to bring a limited number of samples to us that fit our stated preferences making the decision-making process go very smoothly. When my husband showed her a photo of a Mondrian print that he liked and requested that she make a Mondrian-like design for the shower area, Linda met that challenge wonderfully. We and all who saw the finished bathroom were delighted with the shower stall's striking and upbeat design. We were also very pleased with the walk-in closet that looked very good and functioned well as my husband's needs for equipment increased. Though the remodel was the first major change we made to our house, we had made minor ones in the past that we did without the help of a designer and were not completely happy with the results. Sure wish that we'd known Linda Blackwood then and had had her help with those projects!

Linda was recommended to me by our contractor (8 Inch Nails) for a large kitchen remodel for our vineyard farm house in Sherwood, Oregon. This was a big design project because the old kitchen was completely demolished. We started from scratch to build a new kitchen and this wasn't a typical space. The layout was really odd and required a lot of intense designing to achieve the look we wanted. Linda was GREAT to work with from the very start. She really "got" the exact look we wanted. We like luxury and modern but at the same time, we wanted that classic farmhouse look. Linda did a really great job with all the software rendering programs required to design the kitchen. It was so fun to see all the options she came up with. She came to our house SEVERAL times and was truly a perfectionist. One thing we really appreciated was all the time she spent with us at the various shops picking out the cabinets, sinks, counter tops, everything. She even helped me pick out the garbage disposal. It made the whole process seem so easy and not overwhelming because there are a TON of decisions to make for a complete kitchen remodel. Linda is not afraid to tell you if something you picked out really wouldn't "go" with the whole look. I remember I had my heart set on a copper farmhouse sink. Linda advised against this because she thought it would not go with everything else. We ended up with a white sink and I am so glad because it goes so much better with the whole look. Linda also has a good eye for paint colors. The paint color she came up with for our kitchen was incredible. I felt like we spent hours trying to pick out the paint color ourselves and then Linda comes up with this PERFECT color. I would highly recommend Linda for both large design projects and also for interior decorating. She didn't do interior decorating for us but I would imagine she would do awesome at it if given her eye for colors.

We were looking for a way to design a family room with a difficult layout. Linda created a novel design that never would have occurred to us and helped us to select furniture and accessories that worked to scale in the space. The room was freshened up and modernized and we loved it. While at the time we had no plans to sell our home when we updated the space, we ended up putting the house on the market less than a year later and I believe the room was a major selling feature. Hire Linda! We had a terrific time working with her!
