I selected Julianna after meeting 5 other possibilities. She spent approximately 3 hours reviewing the kitchen area and stating things that she might recommend. My kitchen is small and the layout was dated but OK.
She immediately set appointments with places that had things that were needed like cabinets, fixtures, stove and refrigerator. I had a sense of what I wanted and she supported this but also offered differences for me to consider. Most of her suggestions were implemented and I am glad that I listened to her.
Her contractor Pat was excellent.
I highly recommend Julianna for her knowledge and professionalism

Comment from Julianna Hall - Cambre Kitchens & Bath,LLC:
Rose it was a pleasure working with you on your kitchen project. I loved that you wanted to go with a stained cabinet (cherry) and were open to modernizing it with a sleek door style (Omega Cabinetry's Jax door style). We are seeing a trend now where clients are embracing wood once again and going with more of a natural light stain. Our last couple of kitchens have embraced this lighter wood look and it adds such warmth. I'm so glad you love the new layout too. Small spaces can be challenging, but your space really came together in the new design. Thank you for the kind words. We truly enjoyed working with you!! Please keep us in mind if we can ever be of service to you again.

I am so thankful that I chose to go with Cambre Kitchens and Bath. I did have choices, but when Julianna came to my home to access my bathroom remodel request, I was very impressed. Her sense of style fit right in with what I was looking for. From the start, I greatly appreciated Julianna's authenticity, honesty and expertise.
Julianna helped me coordinate the new vanity, sink and faucet while utilizing the existing tile and other design factors. She was at my home when the template was made and shared thoughts and advise, (again an area I was not adept in negotiating), with the expert who was creating the template.
Julianna accompanied me to the quartz and granite distributor and took all the time needed to choose the stone, color and design. She was also a great advocate for me in working with the supplier. I couldn't have negotiated this alone.
The end result is more than I could have hoped for.

Belinda thank you for your business. It was a real joy working with you to refresh your existing space. I'm so glad you decided to go with a darker vanity top and faucet- it looks stunning! This look provides a wonderful contrast with your white vanity. Please keep us in mind if you have any future projects. I would love to work with you again.

After 20 years in our home it was finally time to remodel the primary bathroom. I met with a few larger bath design centers and realized I wanted a more collaborative experience. I came across Cambre Kitchens and Bath on the Houzz website and decided to contact them after seeing some of the project photos. Turned out to be a fantastic decision. The owner, Julianna, was very professional and responsive from beginning to project end. She worked closely with us through the project planning and the selecting of all materials, fixtures and finishes. Once it was time for installation, her contractor Jon was equally professional and reliable. No project is without a few hiccups, especially during a pandemic, but any issues were promptly addressed and Julianna communicated changes or timeline adjustments clearly and thoroughly. Remodeling can be stressful but Julianna and her team were a pleasure to work with. We've enjoyed our new bathroom for about a month now and I still almost can't believe the transformation. We love it!

We selected Cambre to do our master bathroom renovation over several others we interviewed because Cambre was the only ones that could provide a complete demolition and renovation package that met our our budget and time table for completion. We started looking for Contractors in the Spring of this year with hopes to have the project completed by Fall. Following our initial meetings with Julianna, she was able to develop a design and budget that met all our wants and needs. We were also concerned that the pandemic would cause supply chain delays and labor shortages, however Julianna and her team of subcontractors and vendors did a fantastic job in acquiring materials and staffing the job. The project was completed over a 5 week period and we could not be happier with the results.

Thank you for your kind review. We enjoyed collaborating with you both and I am overjoyed with the final results. I am so happy you feel the same way. I have to pinch myself every time I see your "After" pictures in our Houzz.com project folder. The transformation was incredible! Please keep us in mind for any future projects we would love to work with you again.

We are engaged in an ongoing legal dispute with Julianna Hall over incomplete and defective installs in our bathroom. JH’s “flexible” and “client-based” approach translated into a business model based on product procurement and undisclosed markups of 200-500% on purchased items, without accountability for quality control. We hired JH as a designer and project manager at an estimate well above others (she subcontracted with Cornell Construction) based on her favorable Houzz reviews, her initial confidence and kind demeanor, and our desire to have keen oversight of all aspects of the project. Beyond generating initial blueprints, however, there was little contribution from JH as either an interior designer or project manager. My husband and I identified for JH the faucet, decorative lights, wallpaper, etc., which JH procured, and then she click-dragged our self-chosen images onto a powerpoint slide to generate what she called an "idea board". Color advice happened only after we agreed to purchase the paint through her (for which we were assessed a surprise "color consult" charge on the invoice). JH seldom appeared onsite, some weeks not at all, and rarely, if ever, closely inspected the work. Defects included minor items (not leveling lights or shelves), and major items (not squaring newly constructed walls, not centering the vanity or ceiling light within newly constructed niches (off by 6 inches), poorly installed trim resulting in pieces of baseboard falling off, and uneven inset of a window resulting in a sash stuck in closed position. There were code violations (failure to secure new electrical wiring, using appropriate GFI outlets where needed and leaving a live, unsecured electrical outlet in the crawlspace). Drywall had uneven and cracking areas, and one exterior wall was unfinished. Exterior clapboard install left significant gaps. Electrical conduits were cut and left unrepaired. The doorknob/lock fixture of the original 1920's door was installed upside-down. Julianna insinuated to us multiple times that we would breech contract by talking directly with the construction crew for items that needed repair. JH insisted on us paying the “final invoice” (remaining 20% balance, only supplied to us after requesting a “running tally”), before completing (shower door installation also outstanding), and without agreeing to complete, or even to review in-person what she deemed “99% complete”. Within one week of sending us this “final invoice” she sent hostile emails, including accusations that our failure to pay was “unfair” and would leave her team unable to “feed their families and pay their utilities". Her proposed "remedies" consisted of our paying in full prior to addressing anything, and asserting that items such as the stuck window and off-center vanity were not within the scope of their work, despite it being their new construction. Of note, Julianna never requested permission to post photos of our home.

Comment from Julianna Hall - Cambre Kitchens & Bath,LLC:
I am sorry that you had a frustrating experience. We are always striving to improve our clients' experience. A successful project spreads good word-of-mouth and repeat business which is something we have been very fortunate to have enjoyed within the last decade. I appreciate that you have reached out via Houzz to once again bring this issue to our attention. As you know we have been trying to resolve these issues with you and have come up with several working solutions, but we need your cooperation. I am saddened that our services (including 3 possible design floor plans to choose from for your remodel, detailed customized design boards, and customized product offerings that were personally chosen for your project in a variety of price ranges) couldn't fulfill your wishes. We have even offered (twice) in an effort of good will to meet you more than halfway financially with what is owed to us, but you flatly refused us. However, we still remain hopeful for a resolution with your cooperation. If that is not possible, we wish you the best in your search for success!
We’ve lived with our new kitchen for a year now and we still love it. Julianna’s design changed the footprint to make better use of the space we had and it feels so much bigger. We have so much more storage and it’s so bright. Folks have asked if the window was new but it’s simply that there aren’t cabinets on both side blocking the natural light. She was incredibly patient with us as it took two trips to decide on tile for the large wall behind the sink but it looks fantastic. One of best parts of the experience was that she coordinated all the pieces and processes.

Melissa thanks for the kind words. I can't tell you how many times I keep flipping between the "before" and "after" pictures taken of your project just to see how different the two floor plans were when we started. In our initial meeting you were leaning toward moving the sink to the corner and I'm so glad we did it as the kitchen indeed seems to flow better. I knew we were on the right track with product selections when our countertop fabricator stopped by for the template after all the cabinets were installed and he happened to comment just how well everything flowed together...his exact words were, "The cabinets look very European". This of course made my heart skip a beat and I knew the results were going to be special. Thanks for entrusting your remodel with Cambre Kitchens & Bath, LLC it was such an enjoyable experience for us to work with you, Mark and Abby!

Loved working with Julianna. She was so patient and professional. She listened to my needs and wants and helped guide my choices from beginning to end. I really liked that she did not have a showroom. In the end I had more choice, have a more unique design and ended with a better bottom line! Her estimates were on the mark. I certainly hope to have another opportunity to work with her again.

The feeling is mutual Martha. We really enjoyed working with you and Dan as well, and were very pleased with how both of your bathrooms turned out. Your project is still one of my favorites, and I am always so proud to show new clients the "before" and "after" pictures. Thanks for trusting us, it truly was a collaborative endeavor between client and designer/remodeling team.

I met Julianna at the 2019 Home Show in Rochester; we chatted about what I was looking for in a bathroom remodel, she followed up with me and submitted a bid. I decided to accept her bid and go with Cambre Kitchens & Bath for my bathroom remodel. She understood what it would take to remodel my bathroom. She guiding me on decisions such as what tile to pick, vanity choices, hardware choices and even color suggestions for paint. Julianna listened to my suggestions (eg. a soak tub) and I listened to her ideas (eg. the Shoji Divider) and incorporated them into the final design; communication is the key to a successful project and she communicated with me throughout the entire project. Her quote detailed the cost very clearly, showing the optional items at the bottom with their costs. The final invoice was very clear and easy to understand
.
I am very happy with the results and would recommend Julianna & Cambre Kitchens & Bath.

Comment from Julianna Hall - Cambre Kitchens & Bath,LLC:
Sally it was a real pleasure working with you on your master bath remodeling project. So glad you are happy with the results. We certainly had fun with this remodel. Your idea of incorporating a freestanding soaking tub was spot on as soaking tubs are very popular now in the design world. As a designer I was thrilled you were interested in going in this direction. I think it really gave a fun focal point to this new expanded area. Thank you for entrusting your project to Cambre Kitchens & Bath.

We met Julianne at the Home Show and made an appointment to meet with her. We had been wanting to remodel our kitchen and expand it due to lack of cupboard/counter space and a decent size pantry. We were very impressed by her professionalism and kitchen designs. Julianna was very patient with us when picking out the products and offered excellent suggestions. She would try to keep costs down when possible. Julianna was here throughout the project making sure everything was done as specified. We couldn't be happier with the end result and are using her for another project.

Donna - thanks for the wonderful review!!! I really enjoyed working with both you and Tom on your kitchen remodeling project. It was a truly collaborative project from start to finish. I knew I was going to enjoy working with you both when you were thinking outside the box early on and said that you liked a grey toned wood grain cabinet color (which is where we are trending now in the design world). Also, you loved our idea of using a faux stone pillar in the kitchen near the coffee nook. So thrilled with how it all turned out, and I look forward to working on our next project together in March 2019.

We recently worked with Julianna Hall to totally renovate 2 bathrooms, and to partially renovate 1 bathroom. Julianna was delightful to work with -- creative, knowledgeable, respectful of our wishes, punctual, etc. She interacted with the contractor and handled all ordering and deliveries. She guided us in our major choices such as vanities, tile, and countertops. Several times she saved us money by taking advantage of sales and by using remnants.
We chose Julianna initially because she had some very creative, outside the box ideas for our bathrooms. We have never regretted our choice! We heartily recommend her!

When my wife and I first contemplated a kitchen reno, I browsed Houzz for design ideas as well as designers themselves. Impressed by other Cambre Kitchen & Bath projects on Houzz, my wife and I went to meet Julianna in person at the Home Show. We hit it off from the very beginning, Julianna was very patient with us as she explained her company, how the process works and the typical timeline.
From there, she came to our house to assess the project and sat down with us to comprehend what was missing from our current kitchen (everything!) and more importantly, how we as a family wanted to use our new kitchen on a day by day basis. Once she had gathered input from myself, wife and kids she drafted up various computerized renderings (in different price ranges, based on cabinet selection) of what our new kitchen would look like and after some minor design tweaks, our kitchen reno was off and running.
Her team made fast work of the demolition and Julianna was there every step of the way to check in and make sure things were going according to plan. She also helped us "newbies" pick our tile back splash, flooring, sink and counter top. It was amazing to come home from work and see the day to day progress that had been made. Some 4 weeks later our brand new kitchen was done and we couldn't be more happier with the outcome.

Patrick thanks for the kind words. We really enjoyed working on your kitchen renovation project. We loved that both you an Michelle wanted to go the environmentally "green" friendly route, and that you were also interested in implementing some of the newer higher-tech undercabinet lighting and powerstrip plug outlets. Your kitchen is the first that we have ever installed a recycled glass quartz countertop. So happy that you were pleased with the final results. We certainly appreciate your business - thank you.

We contracted with Julianna for a kitchen remodel and some add-ons for adjacent rooms. We could not be happier with the results!! Julianna guided us through the entire project. She was always available for questions, open to our suggestions/ changes and never pressured us. Her design skills were invaluable. We learned a great deal from her. We talked to other contractors but did not feel a sense of commitment to our project like we did from Julianna!
Every day we say how much we love our new kitchen our friends and family feel the same! We would recommend Julianna for any kitchen or bath project. You won’t be sorry!!
