We just completed a complete renovation of our master bathroom with Kris Atwood. Everything connected with this project was first rate from start to finish. Kris and his staff’s attention to detail was incredible and once the project schedule was set there were not any missed deadlines. His tradesman were some of the best we have ever used, pleasant to deal with and very accommodating to make sure that we were 100% satisfied with their work. We have used Atwood Fine Architectural Cabinetry for several projects in our home over the past few years. Most recently Kris Atwood remodeled our two spare bathrooms and did an outstanding job. His background as an architect helped him completely redesign and optimized our available space to create two completely remodeled bathrooms. The results are simply stunning. Kris gets deeply and personally involved in the details of planning and implementing the project. He has great sub-contractors who enjoy working with him and do great work. He agrees a timetable and delivers on time. He has completed five projects for us, and we have been thrilled with the results !

We replaced our outdoor kitchen cabinets and counters as well as replacing grill. Atwood was able to provide a much better material for outside cabinetry than we had before. Came up with a nice new cabinet design which also gave us more counterspace and storage. Recommended great place for getting granite counters. Everything was done in a timely manner. We are enjoying the results!

Kris and Julie renovated our kitchen and did a mid-century modern renovation of our living room. The living room included a circular nook for a 5’ round table and an architectural sectioned metal wall for a large low profile flat panel tv. The kitchen included floor to ceiling grain matched cabinets with a huge island and 5’ under mount sink, bookleafed quartzite tops and a circular quartzite sectioned foyer entry. The whole build took barely 60 days which in hindsight seems near impossible in this day and age. Our house renovation greatly benefited from Julie and Chris Atwood’s expertise. Lucky for us, Atwood Fine Architectural Cabinetry was more than a fine cabinet vendor. We initially approached them just to buy cabinets but got so much more in much needed help. Kris Atwood, an architect and contractor, helped us translate our design ideas and wish list into workable, architectural plans. In addition to helping us choose great cabinets, he and Julie suggested novel lighting ideas, wonderful design details, and kitchen appliance options that contributed immensely to the successful outcome of our project.

Kris helped turn a spare storage area and equipment room into a terrific Wine Cellar. He developed the design, using our inputs, and managed the renovation within budget and completed it quickly. Kris just put the final touches on our kitchen remodel this morning and we could not be more pleased with the result. I felt compelled to write a review not only because Kris and Julie were such a pleasure to work with but because of the way they went above and beyond to help us with our project. I was my own general contractor and ran into trouble finding local electrical and plumbing subcontractors. Kris came to the rescue by recommending subs he worked with in the past and giving them a gentle nudge to help us out. Without him, I would probably still be looking at a large area where the old kitchen used to be and a garage full of appliances and cabinets. Kris spent a significant amount of time traveling out to our cabin to personally install something or to oversee progress. Atwood Fine Architectural Cabinetry was wonderful to work with. Kris offered lots of attention to detail while making sure that we had everything we wanted in our new kitchen. Our existing kitchen had a step-up island, and Kris suggested leveling it out to increase the work space. This change also improved our ability to use the space for entertaining as he pointed out. Because of our open floor plan, it was important for the kitchen to compliment our great room, and Kris' design ideas did that perfectly. Kris successfully updated our kitchen, working within our budget, while adding some nice touches to make it unique and personal. He is great at visualizing a space and all that it can be!

We used to Atwood Design Firm for design and installation of cabinetry of a major bathroom remodeling project. We found Kris to be creative yet practical while working within budget. We recently commissioned Atwood: Fine Architectural Cabinetry to remodel our main bathroom and powder room. From concept to installation, we have been extremely impressed and wanted to share our very positive experiences. Kris Atwood was personally in charge of the project and oversaw every detail. He was in constant contact with our suppliers, the contractors and, most importantly, with us to make sure that we were aware of what was going on and why. Kris paid meticulous attention to detail and was never satisfied until we were completely happy! The project was scheduled on a very tight timetable and finished perfectly on time. The punch list is very short and there were never any disputes about our shared understanding of what needed to be done.
