Imagine a builder special condo bathroom circa 1985 with a 29” tall beige fiberglass vanity with faux wood laminate doors. Fast forward twenty-five years to peeling laminate, burnt and stained surfaces—that’s when I purchased the unit. By the time I was ready to remodel I knew I wanted it to be functional and stylish. Since this was my first remodel I wanted to do it right. I also had a certain style in mind from watching plenty of HGTV! I visited the KBDU showroom in Osterville and Eric showed me just the right door and stain option. When he came out to measure, I mentioned my desperate need for storage. The “faux-everything” vanity didn’t have drawers and the molded fiberglass sink limited counter space. The options for readymade vanities had only two drawers, the top drawer was false. Eric suggested combining a three-drawer cabinet with a base cabinet with tilt-down (hidden) front drawer for toothpaste—absolutely brilliant. Later, he came by to make sure everything was installed correctly. It looked fantastic and was about five inches taller than the previous one. No more back strain because of the low vanity height for me. I swear, the old vanity was sized for children and I’m only 5’5”. Since my bathroom was so small the electric heating vent was right next to the vanity. Eric added a silicone cabinet bumper on front of the door to prevent it from banging into the corner of the heating vent. The cabinet had such a dark stain that the clear bumper was barely noticeable; plus it’s much better than the dent I would have inevitably made. It’s that kind of attention to detail that makes it easy to recommend KBDU to anyone looking to remodel. As a designer, I’m very appreciative of the small touches that experienced professionals have to offer.

We had to have a complete kitchen remodel because of a flood of our kitchen when we were away. Because of the fact that this was an unexpected remodel we had a pretty tight budget. Kitchen and Bath Designs did all the work within budget and it was excellent work. They worked with us to make sure we stayed within the parameters of the existing kitchen but also they suggested some very nice changes that enhanced the layout. Each day they made sure the site was clean and nothing was left out to hurt anyone. Even after two years if we have had any issues (even things that are our fault) they come in a timely manner, check it out and fix it. I would recommend them to do any work.

Your kitchen is the focal point of your home. It's where people come to celebrate with food and love in a wonderfully warm surrounding. When Kitchen and Bath Designs installed our kitchen and then, years later, updated it, we were proud to show it off. In our kitchen, we are surrounded by custom designed, carefully thought out and constructed hardwood furniture, not merely "cabinets". Every tool is properly placed and at our disposal because of the exceptional abilities of the kitchen designer, Tom Leckstrom. When we built our home, Tom sat down and helped us design the perfect kitchen. And then, we designed the house around it! The talent and professionalism of Kitchen and Bath Designs Unltd is superior to any other kitchen design firm in our book. (Oh, and they also designed and installed our lovely bathrooms!)
