Jane was great to work with for designing my kitchen remodel. I had some ideas about what I wanted but no idea how to make them all work. Jane took my ideas and gave me several options for how to layout the kitchen and make it fit in the available space. I also struggled with choosing materials to stay within my budget and Jane was able to give me invaluable guidance on where to find materials and which materials would look best for the allotted cost. The result is a beautiful, low maintenance super functional kitchen that I LOVE!!! Also, importantly, Jane turned around all the plan iterations very quickly which not only kept the project on budget but also on time! I would recommend Jane without reservation to anyone doing any kind of remodel.

Working with Jane made the entire experience of updating our kitchen FUN! Jane has a great way of providing advice and counsel, and listening to client needs. She is very detail oriented and was a trusted partner through the process. I've worked with some designers and they insert their style on you. That is the opposite of how Jane works. She is very client-oriented and a great listener and problem solver. We had a very dark and outdated kitchen and she helped us update it in a streamlined manner. She is especially talented when it comes to utilizing space and thinking through how you use your space. I couldn't recommend her enough!

It would be impossible to overstate how grateful I am that I was introduced to Jane Ariyoshi. I hired Jane because her references were impeccable and her portfolio was compelling. The project involved a large kitchen remodel with extensive lighting design, wall removal, and the addition of a nano-style door to the outside. Jane at Kozo Design worked with us to redesign our old wood burning fireplace into something much more contemporary and visually appealing. During the planning phase of our project, she made suggestions on items such tile choice, insert options, media placement, and lighting. In addition, she procured bids from top quality tradesmen, and most importantly, worked to improve the overall use of our space. Working with Jane was a wonderful experience. She listened to our ideas, offered creative solutions, was budget conscience, eliminated frictions throughout the process, and most importantly, kept ME from getting sidetracked! We are so thrilled with the transformation of our room. It is now where we want to spend the majority of our time. Can’t wait to work with her again for a kitchen update. Highly recommend!

Jane helped us with our basement design and took into consideration all the ways we wanted to use the space. It's perfect! The lovely modern fixtures, built-ins and hardware she recommended look fabulous. We already have her working on another project in our kitchen and I'm definitely calling her when I re-do our den upstairs. We worked with Jane at Kozo Designs to redo our kitchen, dining room and fireplaces. The original kitchen was dated, complete with pink marble and neon lights, and did not fit our tastes or the vision for our house. Jane worked closely with us to open up and lighten up the feel of the house, which included removing two walls, adding a window, and including more open-kitchen features. We've lived with this kitchen going on 7 years, and I am always enormously please with how well the kitchen/dining/living room is designed. There are several little details that would not have occurred to me that delight me every time I use them. We have worked or met with other designers, and what we really like about working with Jane is how receptive and understanding she is to your ideas, and her follow-through in executing your vision. That being said, she's also not afraid to give you her honest opinion about things, and more often than not her words are insightful and sensible. As a final bonus, Jane is also really organized and professional, and as a result worked seamlessly with our contractor. I would recommend, and have recommended, Kozo Designs to anyone looking to remodel. She does not disappoint!
