These guys were great! We are very happy with the way our remodel turned out. Thomas and Christian took our large open space and did a great job space planning and making each area distinct without losing the open floor plan we love about our main floor. They listened to our thoughts and wishes, but came up with great solutions that we couldn’t have and wouldn’t have thought of on our own. They were easy to get a hold of and friendly to talk to, and the contractors they hired were all professional and friendly. We’d never hired designers before, but we are so glad we did for this remodel! The end result is a home we enjoy and are proud of. We’d gladly recommend them and use them again in the future!

Thomas Keene, currently of KrimsonHaus, did our first complete remodel 3 years ago. When we decided to take on another remodel, it was a no brainer to request his services again. However, this time it was as a Team with Christian Rosales. We went back to Thomas because he comes up with unique designs, listens to us, gets us out of our comfort zone, and does not take any decisions that go against his recommendations personally, When we went back a second time, I was expecting for him to use the same template that worked for us last time. However, I was surprised to see Thomas and Christian push the envelope and come up with completely different designs. Many, but not all were incorporated, but again not a problem with this Team. Christian and Thomas complement each other very well with their different strengths along with their no ego approach, makes it an enjoyable and exciting experience to work this design team.

Thomas Keen of Core Design was a pleasure to work with on our complete home interior and exterior design. He took his time to understand the individual imput from the whole family and come up with an inspired unique concept the flows and reflects all of us. If you need a versitle designer who can get inspired by your project look no further. I highly recommend Core Design!

Thomas worked with us from the inception of our downstairs remodel until the final throw pillow and piece of art was on the wall. He took the time to get to know us and helped us decide the best design for our family and lifestyle. He guided us through all the confusing choices, bringing us options and vision boards to help us decide. In the end, we are thrilled with our "new" home I feel like I'm living in an Interior Design magazine!

I worked with Thomas Keene (Tommy) for the renovation of my condo in Long Beach. The kitchen was opened up and expanded into the Living /dining room and existing dining space was converted to a study. Guest bath was completely renovated . Tommy came up with the new kitchen layout plan, which maximized the space available in the small condo with innovative storage ideas and a stunning 'skylight', which has been very popular with all my visitors. He always listened carefully , was very professional and was always there to answer my questions. He has contacts with good resources and I used his contacts for actual construction crew, tiles and flooring and all the appliances for my condo. He guided me through out the process of selecting flooring materials and fixtures, counter tops to kitchen sink, tiles to color palette for my whole condo. Since there were lot of restrictions to putting recessed lighting in my condo Tommy helped me come up with a very unique but cheap alternative solution. I look forward to working with Tommy for any future renovation.

Tom is fantastic! He has great follow-up, great ideas and great connections. Immediately you can tell he has been doing this for a while and is very knowledgeable. We recently purchased a home and turned to Houzz for interior design services and was paired with him. He presents his services and fees in a very clear and concise manner. Tom really sold me on working with him for any custom furniture we will need! We decided to live in our new home and get used to the space first and plan on reaching out again once we start to replace our old furniture.

I bought a beachfront condo with original 1970s decor and had a jumble of ideas of how to renovate it. I hired Thomas as my designer and project manager, but didn't have him as a contractor based on my planned schedule. Thomas translated my jumbled ideas to a articulated plan that my contractors eventually turned into a great final product. However, my "three to five week project" turned into an eleven month battle with a contractor who didn't deliver on time. Throughout, Thomas was amazing at bringing my ideas into reality and a great sounding board for dealing with my contractors. Thomas was especially helpful in bringing my bathroom tiles together and my amazing beachy backsplash. My condo is beautiful as a result of Thomas' design guidance, my regret is that I didn't adjust my rigid timeline to have Thomas coordinate all facets of the project.

We hired Thomas to remodel our new home. He helped remodel our indoor and outdoor living spaces. We loved working with Thomas and his lovely assistant Stephanie. I can't say enough about how great it was to work with Thomas. He is very professional and so talented. He put together layouts of each room and space with great detail, we where able to visualize every detail of all the rooms. Everything looked great on paper and it was stunning when everything was finally in place. Our project was done in a timely manner and under budget. I definitely recommend Core Design Services. We love and enjoy our home thanks to Thomas.

II worked with Thomas on an extensive updating of condo in Long Beach. He had great ideas and creative solutions for every space. He developed a plans and great color palate after talking to me about my tastes. He had a price conscious updating of the kitchen – just repainting the existing cabinets. Showed real attention to detail, moving and replacing light fixtures to get clean lines and created a unique built-in shelving for my entertainment system. There are always snags with big projects like this but Thomas kept everything moving and made sure everything was right at the end of the day. The creativity of his designs really came through in the bathrooms, both of which needed to be completely redone. For the master suite, Thomas came up with a design that seamlessly transitioned the aesthetic of the master bedroom into a spa like bathroom. Aquamarine tile in the shower extended out in to the main space of the bathroom and perfectly complemented a custom vanity. In the guest bathroom, Thomas found a way to add a shower where they had only been a tub. As a wonderful design element, Thomas brought in a mural of a purple octopus for one wall. It is whimsical and sophisticated and has been a great conversation piece with everyone who has seen it. I have been really happy with Thomas’ work and would highly recommend him.

Thomas was a pleasure to work with...he made some great, sensible recommendations as well as directed me to some vendors that carry reasonably priced/cool products....my place came out great!!!....His input was a huge part of the success!

It is with great pleasure that i am writing this review of Core Design Services. Thomas "Tommy" Keene, was always professional, accommodating and easy to work with. He listened to my ideas and what I wanted, he made suggestions of things that might work better for me, But, he never made me feel my ideas weren't good. He went to work and drew up plans, and presented them to me. This was a very big project, which included a new Kitchen, Bathroom and Master Bedroom. All three were gutted, rebuilt and decorated. There were times when things didn't go right, as there always are with any project (none of which were Tommy's doing). He always handled everything, and managed to solve any problems that arose, in a timely manner. He always listened to me, and never got upset with all my questions...lol (of which there were many). My home is truly amazing now, and everyone who sees it can't stop talking about how "Beautiful it is", and it really is! Now when i look at all of those decorating magazines, I can honestly say "Mine is Prettier". It's beautiful but functional at the same time. I would not hesitate to highly recommend Core Designs Services, and I usually hesitate to recommend anyone. I couldn't be happier with my newly designed and decorated Home!

Thomas Keene is a professional with great talent, training and experience for putting together a design for your home project that suits your style which is both innovative and pleasing to the eye. In our experience while remodeling our family room, Thomas presented us with several options within a timely manner and our budget. Furthermore, he took into consideration what our time frame was for the project. Thomas has access to a skilled network of craftsmen who produced the laid out plans, resulting in a beautiful, new family room. We look forward to working on other home projects with Thomas.

Tom previously helped with the interior design of our home in Long Beach and we were extremely pleased. We moved up to the Bay Area at the end of 2015 and knew that we needed Tom to help make our new place a home. He helped us to furnish the living room and beautifully decorated the shelves. He also assisted with picture placement throughout our home and decorated 2 bathrooms. He worked with me over the phone several times, flew in for the weekend and was able to transform our new home quickly and effortlessly. Tom is so fun to work with, too. He understands my taste (or lack thereof) and makes it work. Tom is also fantastic working within a budget. I am pleased to say that all his hard work has really made a big difference in how nicely we've settled in.

i have hired Thomas several times. I have a large home and he helped me turn two rooms into master suites. He also did design catalogs for my kitchen, laundry and patio. These are projects we will work on this year. I had surprise guests over the holidays. I called Thomas. He showed up the next day and within hours, he had turned a spare room into a beautiful guest room with all the amenities. My home is a true sanctuary to me now. Thomas is a very dear person. Hardworking, honest, ethical, fair and very, very talented. I just love the spaces he has designed. Oh, and he's funny and fun!!! I'm SO glad I discovered him!!!! I have no doubt you would be too!

Thomas took a non-functional bathroom and converted it to a home spa. His ideas opened the shower area with clean lines and dramatic looks. Incorporated a TV set in a clever way into the cabinetry. Genius! But the best part of this experience was Thomas' care to oversee the project. He handled the construction crew and over saw the complete project. When a problem arose, he was there to handle it. GREAT follow through. He did such a great job......we now want him to do the kitchen in the home.
