This is the second home project where we have employed Lori's expertise. Lori helped to serve as the intermediary between us and our contractors to ensure that the remodel was done with great care and precision. She keeps in mind the taste of her clients and offers several style options to help the space feel more personalized while also elegant. She is willing to express her opinions regarding style while not pushing you toward her preferences. Lori was always easy to talk to and helped us complete our latest remodel in a timely manner despite tearing down walls and essentially rearranging the whole structure of the space. The kitchen now feels warm and modern while also very usable. The master bathroom that we remodeled previously with her guidance is probably my favorite space in our home. Lori helped us create storage solutions as this was a major priority for our projects. I would highly recommend Lori to anyone who is looking to remodel a space in their home and would not hesitate to use her services again.

Lori is a delight to work with as a designer during whole house renovation. She listens, and quickly has ideas and suggestions to flesh out a vision for my uncertain style ideas. I most appreciate what an advocate she has been, her leadership in guiding meetings, asking probing questions with contractor and sub-contractors. It has been a relief. I might add that going with a designer of my choice, as opposed to working with a design/build firm has given me someone who can provide many more choices, choices that fit me personally. To give Lori 5 stars feels like an underwhelming rating. Lori was fantastic! She helped me turn my very dated ranch style home into a modern and elegant farm-house/rancher; a place I'm proud to call home. Along with Lori's keen eye for design, Lori processes a unique quality to understand her client's needs and budget. What I mean by needs - I can only assume every client possess a certain level of ability, knowledge and understanding of what they want or their vision. This can be one of the biggest challenges understanding how much is enough. Lori started our design ideation and process by allowing me a lot of freedom to paint a vision however when it came to putting the details together, I was lost. She provided enough framework to help me make key decisions but not so much that it was overwhelming. Some clients may want that freedom but it would have slowed my process down and would have created a very different experience for me. I'm a busy, single professional so quality, beauty, efficiency and budget were important to me. I can't recommend Lori enough. I will be using her for phase 2 of my project which will include: a master bath redesign and laundry/mud room.

Don’t even think about doing a bath remodel or any other significant updating in your home without Lori to help you create your vision. There are simply too many details and Lori will guide you through them all. She is knowledgeable about products and materials and has great resources. I found Lori based on her reviews on Houzz and she did not disappoint. I have a townhome in Carmel Valley and wanted to replace all the flooring and redo the primary bathroom and powder room. Lori met me at various vendors and helped me to select materials. She has a great understanding of the different products available and their price points which allowed me to stay on budget. She has a great eye for design while staying within our design aesthetic. She completely reworked the bathroom and it is not only beautiful, but so much more functional. My project was somewhat complicated as it is a second home and I was not there for a good portion of the remodel. Lori checked on the work, identified issues and problems and they were rectified. Lori was integral in the success of our kitchen remodel. We have a long, narrow kitchen space and we were struggling to come up with a workable blueprint for the contractor. We hired Lori for a bathroom remodel & to finish some areas that needed tiling. She recommended replacing an over-sized bathtub and installing a zero dam shower, both of which opened up the room. All of the tile Lori picked out were excellent choices. The colors, sizes, patterns & how best to install it fit nicely with the rest of the house. She was good at giving direction to the subs & contractor. I looked to her on how things should look or work. Lori always showed up with a smile, was organized, honest & thoughtful. We are very happy with the results!

Lori helped us with a really wonderful design for 2 bathrooms and laundry room remodels. I sent her pictures of what I was hoping to achieve and she came back with a design that was exactly what I wanted. Everything turned out beautifully and she gave us ideas I would never have come up with myself. I was on the east coast when I hired her and up until the project began and she picked out tiles, countertops, cabinets, fixtures, etc. without me there to make sure everything started smoothly. This was our first remodel and first time working with a designer and it was a learning curve for us. We would recommend Lori for any project you may have. She was extremely conscientious about doing the research about every aspect of our project. She spent many hours finding the best possible materials and confirming they were materials that fit our taste and style. She was communicative with both us and the contractor to make sure we were all on the same page each day during the project. Lori worked with me to design a large deck and a patio. The scope of work included providing floor plan, perspective, and elevation drawings of both areas, the design of two pergolas, and the selection of flooring tile, fireplace stone, solar shades, lighting, and paint colors. During the project Lori met with me several times on site and at a vendor location. She also met with the general contractor to ensure that design elements were compatible with the construction constraints. Lori designed a beautiful and functional outdoor space that was based on my ideas and preferences and at the same time reflected her excellent design aesthetic. She presented materials and lighting options that matched my taste, were functional, and within my budget. She was professional, met all deadlines, and was a pleasure to work with. When we started our kitchen/living room renovation we didn't think we needed a designer, but we quickly realized that we needed help, someone to put it all together for us. A friend recommended Lori and we found her wonderful to work with. She was always easily available and went the extra mile helping us to pick and put together the design. Lori was an incredible asset to our two bathroom remodel projects. She carefully balanced our needs and preferences and incorporated them into the design and layout of the spaces. She then went above and beyond to work with vendors to find materials (e.g., tiles, flooring, countertops, fixtures, etc.) to create the look and feel that we wanted. Lori worked diligently with the vendors to track the shipment and once they arrived, to promptly address any issues with the materials. She oversaw the contractors as they installed the tiles, flooring, countertops, trim, and plumbing to ensure that each element was installed in accordance with the design (no small feat). Lori communicated with us on a daily basis to make sure we were happy with the progress and to address any concerns. We could not have done our project without her! Lori Is worth her weight in gold. She was there for me every step of the way as I remodeled my bathroom, kitchen, put in new engineered hardwood flooring and had the inside of my house painted. The kitchen is efficient and has a much larger feel even though I didn't increase the size. I'm very pleased with the floors and walls, they are beautiful. These trips were always delightful and very productive. The contractors she used always came to work on time, worked hard, and finished my job when they said they would. Everyone who sees my house says "Oh Wow, this is really beautiful." They always say they will keep her in mind for any work they have to do and tell me that I am very lucky to have found her. We engaged Lori Ramsay Design to help us with two bathroom remodels. The original baths were from 1993 when we built our house and they were terribly dated and deteriorated. Lori helped us to choose lovely materials and developed a beautiful tile plan. She helped us to choose all of the other materials as well and gave us good recommendations for people to do the cabinets, glass, and countertops. This was critical for us as I did all of the other work myself and so there was no general contractor. Lori was very patient with me, as the job took much longer than it would have with a professional contractor and crew. Overall, we greatly enjoyed working with Lori and are very happy with the finished product. I recommend her highly.

After purchasing a 35 year old home in need of some major renovations, my wife and I felt pretty overwhelmed with the project. Fortunately we received a referral for Lori Ramsay. We felt comfortable with Lori right from the start. It was obvious that she had the depth of experience, attention to detail and flexibility we were looking for. Lori was directly responsible for redesigning our entire kitchen - including tons of cabinet storage and an Island in a relatively small space. She also tackled our 3 bathrooms and did a fantastic job on all of them. In addition she created a GREAT design for our walk in Master Closet that was truly a nightmare before (imagine vaulted ceilings, 1/2 walls, strange angle in this space). Beyond those projects, Lori helped us pick out everything from paint colors to counters to tile to door handles that would match our modern/minimal style. She really kept us consistent within the established esthetic. And we are very grateful for that. We really couldn't be happier with the end result. Lori was a pleasure to work with. I would also like to mention that even when there was an issue with one of the contractors that was not her fault or responsibility , she stepped in and helped us to resolve it. I asked Lori to help me with a fireplace redo. I would say that the most important thing Lori did was listen to me and observe my home - how I had it decorated. From there she came up with options - glass tile for my fireplace along the same colors as in my kitchen. Once this option was selected (and we went through a few iterations which was important to get the best fit) we decided that I should replace the room fan which was broken. We chose some feature lights that show off the fireplace and tile. It all works together wonderfully!

Lori helped us design our kitchen. She was so easy to work with. I really valued her honesty and suggestions (like putting in a small appliance pullout in our cabinet). The most important part of working with Lori was that she got to know me and my taste and really gave me permission to implement my own ideas that I was a bit insecure about. Lori is absolutely AMAZING! We had just bought a house that needed some serious improvements. I didn't have much of an idea of what I wanted to do with the master bath or guest bath. I created a couple of idea books filled with looks that I adore, and she made them come to life. Lori, Omar, Brent, and the crew are artists. Lori was an amazing designer and project manager for our bathroom remodel. What I loved most about Lori was her attention to detail and her communication style. She often made suggestions that saved me money and made key recommendations of where stretching my budget would improve the value of my home vs where something inexpensive would be a perfect fit. Lori has taken over both small and large renovation and decorating projects in our home over the last 5+ years. I hope she is able to share with you our crowning glory of our master bedroom. She transformed our bedroom into a truly picture perfect oasis of peace and calm. She was able to convince my husband to paint white; both our fireplace and dark wood entertainment center. My husband was very nervous when I explained we would be getting a chandelier for the bedroom. With its rustic yet feminine feel, the chandelier is truly one of many focal points.
