Mark Russo Kitchen and Bath Design

Mark and his associate, Erica, were indispensable to our recent remodel. We were stuck with frozen kitchen pipes, a completely unusable laundry room and foyer, a very unpleasant bathroom, and a defunct kitchen. With regard to style, they both instinctively "got it". They came up with creative, very functional and beautiful solutions. They were "hands on" until completion and worked hard to ensure our satisfaction. Their creativity, foresight, and practical experience were invaluable. We are very thankful.

Wow, we could not have been more pleased with our experience, not to mention the outcome. From the very beginning of the project, Mark showed extraordinary creativity, precision, and consideration for what we were looking for. I'm pretty sure we used every bit of advice and every suggestion he gave us, as we learned early on that his eye and his experience can't be beat. Thanks to his meticulous oversight and vision (and some inevitable mid-project tweaking), we now have a gorgeous kitchen, with gorgeous cabinetry--this is our favorite room in the house, hands down. Cherry on top: he's a delight to work with as well, funny and kind and somehow always upbeat (offer him coffee if he stops by!). We couldn't recommend him more, and it was very clear to us that Mark stands behind his work and wants his customers to love the results. Thank you, Mark!

Mark designed the kitchen of our dreams! We worked with Mark over several months and collaborated on different design ideas that Mark brought to fruition. We were so fortunate to work with Mark. His level of design expertise and knowledge of materials and sourcing were exactly what we needed and more than we expected. His professionalism throughout the project was exemplified by the way he handled our constant questions, modifications to the plan and fretting over choices. Mark worked with us every step of the way. He discussed budgets and options to save money where it would not effect the outcome or design. His attention to detail and preciseness with our design gave us a truly beautiful kitchen and living space. We could not be happier with our choice and highly recommend Mark.

We contemplated adding a master bath for a couple years and Mark really helped bring our dream to life. He worked closely with us as clients to listen to what we wanted and then made great suggestions and contributions regarding design, space, materials, storage, fixtures and contractor/trade partners. Working with Mark was a great experience and the bathroom exceeds expectations.

Mark is an excellent designer! He listened to needs, wants, desires, and tastes and incorporated many things I would never have thought of! He pays attention to detail but also the big, long term picture. He is knowledgeable in past, current, and future trends and materials and helps guide the process and decisions painlessly! He has excellent work partnerships with other local businesses and created an amazing team! I LOVE my new kitchen and couldn't be happier with my experience.

Mark Russo worked on three different projects for us and did a fantastic job on each. The first project was done in April of 2010 and involved a complete kitchen remodeling (which involved removing the wall, relocating stove/oven, making a niche in the wall for a refrigerator, replacing kitchen cabinets, counter top, all appliances, lighting, flooring). Mr. Russo was responsible for redesigning a small kitchen to provide for more counter top and cabinet space and better transition into the living room. The challenge was to fit a lot of cabinets into very small space, at the same time creating an impression of more space in the kitchen itself, i.e., outside the cabinets. Mark created a new design, ordered the cabinets, was supervising all the subsequent stages of the project, including giving advice on the choice of flooring (ceramic tiles), cabinets, lighting, and appliances. The result is a modern stunning-looking kitchen, which has been our pride for the last five years. Please see the attached pictures. The second project was complete bathroom renovation (May 2012), which included installing a wall between a bathroom and one room, replacing a bathroom door, tiling of the floor and the walls, new bathtub, sinks and faucets, and new bathtub/shower sliding door . The third one (November 2012) was our other duplex side kitchen/bathroom renovation (without any major structural changes) - replacing cabinets for our other side kitchen and bathroom, adding a few cabinets on the previously empty wall, and replacing the stove/oven. This was a smaller project, again with beautiful results. From our experience with Mark, I can say that Mark is an expert with many years of experience, has great taste and impeccable work ethics, is able to tailor the project to a customer's wishes and budget, is very easy and pleasant to communicate with. I would highly recommend him.

Mark Russo was an invaluable resource in our renovation of a master bathroom. The original bathroom had a tub and separate shower with dual sinks and a linen closet. Mark discussed with us a variety of options and worked with the plumbers, electricians and carpenters throughout the project. In the end we moved the toilet and removed the tub and constructed a modern walk in shower, a single sink with adjacent closets and cabinets and the closing of a door leading to an office. A pocket door separates a new walk in closet for his and her space. Another pocket door separates the master bedroom from the bathroom. Beautiful stone tiles cover the floor and the light with dimmers now exist. New brushed steel fixtures replaced the old hardware. Mark helped to work out a number of problems that arose during the renovation that involved the duct work and plumbing for air handling and water. We found him to be very professional, a problem solver and ethical person who worked well with the contractor and subcontractors. We would not hesitate to ask him to help in other project in our very contemporary looking home that was built in the 1970's and purchased in 1990.

Mark's experience, knowledge and creativity in kitchen design is "top drawer" Not only did he design a workable, functional and beautiful area, he survived working with my husband who is quite particular...right down to the height of each drawer.

Mark oversaw the difficult project of remodelling our small kitchen from start to finish, with wonderful results. His design was very creative, the products he recommended are wonderful, in terms of both style and quality, and he helped us with the installation every step of the way. Through it all, it was a real pleasure dealing with him: he is competent, reliable, courtious, patient, and fun to be around. Highly recommended!

Mark did an outstanding job designing our remodeled kitchen. He was very accommodating in listening to and incorporating our ideas. He was very pleasant and professional to work with. We would recommend Mark to anyone interested in combining style and funkiness at a reasonable price. Only downside was some of the subcontractors had to come back fix mistakes.
