I hired Matt for a kitchen remodel in my very outdated 1930's house. I love to cook and entertain and was nervous because of the size and poor layout of the original plan but Matt was able to creatively design and implement a perfect makeover! I love my kitchen and get tons of complements. The carpenters are prompt, respectful and very talented. Very happy with the work from start to finish.

Matt did not return calls or communicate well with me or my general contractor during our new house construction. However, the work done by him and his employees was of high quality and turned out beautifully There were some minor repairs that needed to be done over the last month Matt did get right back to us and did the work in a timely fashion

In the end, the workmanship provided was good. However, the process along the way was frustrating. The entire job took 6 months. Customer service was great until they had my deposit for the granite, and then it was terrible after that. We were promised the granite would be installed within 3 weeks after measurement, yet it took 8 1/2 weeks. Then, we waited 3 more months for completion of the final part of the job. Called the office multiple times, spoke to associate, but never heard back from anyone. Very poor communication with the customer and terrible customer service. After repeated calls to the company, it was obvious we were extremely upset, yet the owner only ever communicated to us via text message - no phone call. We had to constantly call them and hound them in order to get the job completed. When they were at our house finishing the job, they counted the number of panels incorrectly and had to fabricate one on site. The owner was very cavalier about the whole situation, and still only responded via text. I would definitely NOT recommend this company due to the poor customer service we received.

We were impressed with how well all of the employees listened to our needs and tastes. Ready for gently suggesting options and ideas. Very honest and offered experience on everything from quality of materials to appliances. Always courteous and friendly. Outstanding craftsmanship. Mullet cabinetry was over and above expectations. Very neat and respectful of our home. Overall Maumee Bay delivered everything we wanted and we still would call them again for other projects.

Matt Wingate of Maumee Bay Kitchen and Bath is a visionary ! My husband and I hired Matts company to turn a typical barely used formal dinning/ office / catch all room into an area that we could entertain our family and friends and utilize our love of wine and cigars. the goal for the room was to have a old world rustic feel cozy comfortable and most of all welcoming. That place where at the end of that we could unwind with a great glass of vino and a classic cigar. We have a large family and entertain often so the room also had to be able to sit 18-20 people comfortably. The other requirement was that we have a 200 year old family barn which is about to be taken down and I wanted to capture some of the family history by utilizing what ever we could from " the old barn" having set the stage this is where Matt comes in. Knowing what we wanted to accomplish Matt creativity kicked into overdrive. Matt pulled out beams, floor planks, pulleys old hinges ,posts what ever he could get and cart it back to his workshop to start creating. He came up with a plan which sounded and looked great but by the end of the project we had the basic plan but with so much more. The plan morphed into a Picasso! Matt listened! We had talks as the construction went on I would get an idea and he listened! He then would come back as say what do you think about this, the best example I can share is the "w" wine rack in the photo below which is made out of a barn floor plank. Our last name starts with a "w" I wanted something in the room to represent that which I shared with Matt. Then I get a text with a hand sketched " W" saying " what about a floating "w" on the wall for wine storage?" So there you have and it was done and I am ecstatic ! The project incorporates teak flooring, 4 different species of wood that is approximately 70 years old. Some of it still had the organic bark edges which Matt so carefully utilized in the designs , From the wainscot where he used cherry, black walnut, white oak to the trim to the cabinetry to granite counter tops even down to making frames for the artwork I brought back from Italy specifically for this room. It was all done by Matt and his crew! Speaking of crew, Matt is surrounded by those that share his same design philosophy from his right hand Damien Blossom on the construction to Mallory Iffland at the showroom and design to the craftsmen in the workshop. I know that there are many others that had their hand on this project which with out all of you this room would not be what is is today! Maumee Bay Kitchen and Bath has earned the highest rating that I can give. If I could give them a 10 star I would not hesitate! Kudos MBKB!!! Job well done!

I have been extremely satisfied with all aspects of this remodel. The plan was to redo the whole kitchen then put new floors throughout the whole first floor and update the half bath also. They installed beautiful black and white ceramic tile in my foyer, wood floors in the remaining rooms and painted everything. I live in a 80 + year old cape cod and most of it still original and now it is gorgeous. I would also like to add that the crews sent out to do the jobs were the nicest groups of guys ever. I'm home on disability and own two small dogs and never once did they make me feel like I was in their way and they also watched out for my dogs. When it's time to redo the upstairs I wouldn't hesitate to work with them again.

We had them update our kitchen and its fabulous! From the designers, contractor,carpenters,countertop fabricators... all were very professional. They worked with what we had and came up with great updates that we love!! I can't believe what a few changes can do-i love it so much! Any concerns that came up the designer handled with the contractor in a timely manor. The crew also made sure to clean up each day before they left our house-amazing! Matt did a great job on the finishing of our cabinets to complete the look we had in mind.We will surely use them in the future and would highly recommend them to our family and friends.
