Kim Feld was excellent as the designer, and assisted in finding the best lay out for our space. She was available throughout the project.Doug Chapman was great about weekly communication of what was happening in regards to project progression. Jason and Greg, who did the actual labor, were easy to work around, and they were conscientious about daily clean up. Jason does a fabulous job on the fine carpentry work. The company was responsive to my needs, and making things perfect. I would highly recommend NKB.

NKB has been phenomenal to work with! From the very start with our designer, Ashleigh, to the construction crew headed by Mark, we have been extremely impressed. Their work is top-notch, giving attention to the details and not cutting corners. This makes all the difference in the final presentation. I have renovated numerous kitchens and my highest recommendation goes to Ashleigh at National Kitchen and Bath. I came in with strong ideas and she added her expertise and gave me a kitchen beyond my expectations. The workmen are skilled and compulsive about getting it right, and maybe best of all they totally clean up before leaving each day. National only reps quality products. Ashleigh never tried to talk me in to using the most expensive, but helped me choose just what met my needs. There was no pressusre. Dealines were met and i kept adding projects! I am considered the chef in our family, and my new kitchen makes it easier to cook for two or twelve. It brings a smile to my face every morning.

What an amazing job National Kitchens and Baths did with our master bath remodel! The owner, Doug Chapman, came out to the site several times to ensure that things were on track, that the quality of workmanship was to the highest standard, and cared that we were happy with each step of the process. Our designer, Kim, worked diligently on finding the tub of our dreams, and the granite that was exactly what we wanted; she met with me at the tile shop to select materials, and followed up on all of these details. The carpenter, Jason, seriously is the VERY best craftsman. We knew he would ensure things were as we envisioned and was so very effective communicating with others about our expectations. Such a beautiful end result! We love every single thing in our master bath, and getting ready to hire NKB to do another bathroom remodel!

We interviewed many companies and considered many cabinets before deciding on NKB because they offered the best combination of quality cabinets, a talented designer, reputation for caring that the job be done right, on-time and on-budget. The team of subs they use all get along and this is important when they are working on different things at the same time. I have a small space and wanted an unusual dual color scheme -- designer Ashleigh helped me bring it all together to exceed my expectations.

In early 1988 my wife and I decided to replace our old awful kitchen as it was cold, outdated and inefficient. After visiting several kitchen specialty stores, we finally decided on National Kitchen and Bath and Doug Chapman. We were impressed by Doug's professionalism and competence. Our job was a complete gut job, removing a wall, expanding the kitchen by moving a wall outside, and installing a furnace and a/c. We began with extensive discussions with Doug about what we wanted. We wanted double gas wall ovens, a subzero refrigerator, dishwasher, stainless steel double sink, new windows above the sink, a new furnace, six Gaggenau burners in an island countertop, a limited space between the burners and the sink and lots of pantry space. We only wanted our microwave from the old kitchen. Doug recommended Woodmode cabinets and my wife wanted white vinyl cabinets with a light gray trim. I wanted formica counter tops with a bull-nose so water wouldn't run off. Doug drew up plans and patiently reviewed them extensively with us. He then repeatedly revised the plans until we agreed on the final construction plans dated June 30, 1988. Doug ordered everything (except maybe the refrigerator, dw and ovens but I am not sure of that). Because my wife wanted the island close to the sink Doug suggested putting a curve in the counter top where the ovens were located so we could stand in front of the ovens and lower the doors but my wife could still take a pan from the burners and just turn and put it in the sink. Doug warned us that the smaller space between the island and the dishwasher would leave a very narrow space when the dw door was down and would be hard to walk around but my wife wanted it anyway. I have banged my shin on that door many times as a result but we are careful and still like our decision. Doug's company did the installation and they did a marvelous job. They kept the dust down, stayed on the job working every weekday, and did a first class professional job. The removed a wall to the old butler's pantry which really opened up the kitchen and gave us lots of space and they moved a doorway from the kitchen to the dining room to the other side of the wall which was a great idea. The construction took a little time but we anticipated it and it worked out well. It is now 29 years later and we still love the kitchen designed for us by Dough. The Woodmode cabinets still look brand new. The only thing I don't like about the Woodmode cabinets are the hinges. I can never get them all adjusted just right and the metal pieces have broken a few times. However, I just had to call Doug and he got me replacement hinges quickly and I was able to easily install them. The drawers work beautifully and Doug suggested some things that have been really helpful like cabinets with drawers inside that roll out and a mixer cabinet that had a pop up shelf that is on metal supports. The mixer shelf just pops up to just below the level of the counter top and locks in place. We can then work with the mixer right on the pop up shelf. Doug also had an outlet installed in the back of the cabinet where the mixer is always plugged in. It makes it so much easier to get the Kitchenaid mixer out, work with it, and put back in place when done. Doug also installed one whole wall of Woodmode pantry cabinets one above another with half shelves and wire item holders on the doors. The half shelves are perfect because nothing gets lost and the doors can close and the wire holders have room to fit in the pantry. My wife also liked the idea of having a desk in the kitchen where the phone is located and Doug designed one that worked fine. At the end of the island, Doug designed two shelves to hold bookcases for lots of cook books and it was a wonderful idea which we use everyday. My wife wanted space (about 4 inches) between the Gaggenau counter top double burners so she could use larger pots on the burners and Doug designed those with the space she requested. The three double burners are gas with an electric sparker to light the gas. Doug had electric outlets installed in the back of the island base cabinets for the sparkers. They have worked perfectly. Doug designed the pantry cabinets so that we could run duct work for the heating and a/c over the top of the cabinets with registers to heat and cool the kitchen and also to provide supplement heat and a/c to the family room next to the kitchen. He also designed space underneath the island cabinets for return duct down to the furnace located in the basement. Every once in a while I remove the return registers to vacuum out the areas under the island. We have had few minor maintenance repairs. We replaced a few of the Woodmode hinges when they broke, and we have had work done one the Subzero refrigerator (the automatic icemaker and recently some of the compressor motors above the refrigerator). I have also replaced the sink faucet with a Grohe faucet with a pull out hose as part of the faucet. I have done that twice. We loved our new kitchen and we have extensively used it every day for the past 29 years. In 2012, we decided we wanted some minor changes in the kitchen. My wife wanted granite counter tops on the island, granite on the counter tops around the sink, granite counter top on the cabinets where the small bar sink and the old desk were located, a new porcelain single sink instead of the double stainless steel sink, larger ovens, and to replace the desk area with a wine rack and a small cabinet. My son-in-law's company did most of the work but we contacted Doug for the purchase of the wine rack and cabinet and he worked extensively with the Woodmode factor to make the wine rack and cabinet to exactly match the older cabinets. We raised the shelf for the microwave to give us more room under the shelf (because the new microwave oven was much smaller in height) and that has worked well. We also lowered the mixer popup shelf to accommodate the larger Kitchenaid mixer we now have. The granite company installed the counter tops and the shelf under the windows over the sink. My wife wanted larger double wall ovens but we didn't like the minimal selection of the gas ovens so we changed to electric ovens which work great. We had to move the wall about 6 inches more between the larger ovens and the half bath and we accomplished that without restricting the size of the half bath. We also replaced the cabinet above the ovens where we store cookie pans, broiler pans for turkeys and roasts, and the self above that storage area for miscellaneous items. Doug ordered that cabinet for us as well and he made sure it matched the older cabinets. The granite counter tops are almost black with swirls of light gray in them and they work well with the cabinets. The granite company installed the counter tops and the shelf under the windows above the sink. Doug did a fabulous job in getting Woodmode to match the older cabinets (which still look like new). The exposed sides of the cabinets have a gray wood that compliments the cabinets beautifully and Doug had the side of the new cabinet matched perfectly as well. We kept almost all of the original cabinets and we kept almost all of Doug's original design for the kitchen because it works so well. I can't say enough about what a great job Doug did in designing our kitchen, ordering the cabinets and other details, in overseeing the installation by his company and in working with us many years later when we needed hinges or additional cabinets. We are so pleased with the design and work that National Kitchen and Bath did for us in providing us with a kitchen that is clean, efficient, works well and is fun to work in. My wife and I love our kitchen and we spend a lot of time there. It has been worth all of the effort and expense and we are most grateful to Doug Chapman for his excellent knowledge, advice, design experience and professionalism. I heartily recommend Doug Chapman and National Kitchen and Bath, Inc. to anyone that wants a great kitchen.

My review is coming 2 years after the completion of my kitchen and the cabinets still look new. National Kitchen and Bath was wonderful. Doug and Kim were a pleasure to work with. I had a pretty clear idea of what I wanted and Kim helped me achieve it visually. She has a great eye for detail. Kim also went with me to select granite and helped me order the perfect knobs. I changed my mind on a couple of major things (color scheme and countertops) and Kim was patient and gracious. She helped make adjustments that ended up making the kitchen design even more spectacular. Doug referred me to other reputable people to work with for appliances, lighting, electric, etc. which made this like a "one stop shopping" experience. In order to achieve the functionality I wanted, Doug made suggestions that ended up reducing the price of my cabinet order (that is rare). He wasn't just trying to sell cabinets, he was trying to make my dream kitchen a reality. His integrity meant a lot to me. If something wasn't quite right, he made sure it was taken care of and that I was satisfied. I tell people about National Kitchen and Bath all the time because I am confident in both the product and the service they provided me.

NKB provided all design, materials & construction services for our kitchen remodel project in our 1960-era ranch home. Cabinetry and counter workspace was more than doubled in the new kitchen in a project that did not move any walls. We love the cabinetry & hardware, the Brookhaven line by Wood-Mode. Plenty of "extras" were available to customize the cabinets and update the kitchen's use. NKB did a fabulous job for us, with a great attention to detail by their own construction workers. They coordinated the work of the subcontractors (electric, plumbing, tile, granite) to minimize disruption and to keep the project on schedule. Workers were here every day but one during the 5-week project, so no "lost time" waiting for materials or subs or other jobs. NKB workers were all very polite, friendly, and respectful of our time and our home. It was apparent that they enjoyed working for NKB & took pride in their work. They certainly went the "extra mile" to make us happy with the process and the final product.
