I am a fan of Houzz, and I am always attracted by the type of design with clean lines, bright colors and craftsmanship of cabinets. I found my pro here, Theresa Sterbis. Theresa is a pleasant person to work with, she is efficient, accurate, knowledgeable, give recommendations to meet your needs. My husband and I started talks about remodeling of our kitchen and the in law suite bathroom in March, but we lack the idea of what and how to begin with. I thought about finding a designer for help. We decided on Theresa after talks with a few other designers. From initial observating the house, talking measurements, gathering ideas of what we desired, recommending contractors and fabricators, to providing detailed drawings, ordering custom made cabinets, coordinating cabinets deliveries, she has done an excellent job! We are so thrilled after our dream kitchen and the very unique bathroom come to life, most thanks to Theresa's professional help!

Project Partners provided kitchen design services and recommendations on professional service providers. They also provided very practical advice on how to complete the installation. We hired Project Partners for design help and they used our ideas and added a lot more. It was extremely useful to have an experienced designer make recommendations. The suggestions they made impacted just about everything from cabinet design, layout, wall relocation, lighting, appliances, etc. We are much happier with the Project Partners kitchen design than what we first envisioned. But on top of the design they provided a lot of technical advice from recommending a plumber to best ways to hide cabinet trim fasteners. They know all the tricks of the various trades and greatly helped me make the installation look just as good as a professional. In hindsight the best decision we made on the project was to hire Project Partners.

Comment from Project Partners Design:
Thanks! I learned the tricks of this industry from professional tradespeople who took the time to share their knowledge with me. I think it is only fair that I do the same when working with someone who is genuinely interested in learning the same. We made a great team. The kitchen turned out superbly.
I found Theresa Sterbis from Project Partners Design on Houzz and immediatly was impresed with the quality of her work on so many levels. She has a great eye for balancing the beauty and flow of a room with functionality. Her Houzz portfolio showcases her ability to design rooms with many dfferent flares or styles. I initially hired Theresa to design our kitchen and baths as by husband and I were tearing down our house and building a new home from the ground up. Overall we had a great floorplan but there were some areas that still needed to be reconciled in regards to transitioning from one room to another. Theresa tackled these issues along with designing the kitchen and baths. The end result was more than I hoped for, she greatly improved upon the original plans and brought harmony and flow into the areas where it had been lacking. As a professional, Theresa is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. She listens extremely well and delivers results lightening fast. She has lots of great ideas and tailors them to the clients requests and tastes. I would most definitely use her again and highly recommend her services, not only in designing kitchens and baths but also for bringing beauty and balance into the design process of new or existing homes. She pointed out problems that I wouldn't have noticed until after our home was built and then it would have been too late to make any changes. She taught me how to take a 2-dimensional floorplan and visualize it as real living space. She went above and beyond and I'm so glad she did! I now have closets where there were none, I have more room without adding any additional sq. footage and I have charming little built in areas to showcase my furniture. She brough character and charm into our house and I am so grateful for that.

We reached out to Theresa to help us remodel our outdated, poorly arranged Master Bathroom. She provided fresh eyes and re-arranged the footprint into an inspired design. She interpreted our needs and developed them more fully. The combination of being trained in both interior design and engineering provides creativity and practicality. Theresa is very competent, responsive, and easy to work with. We heartily recommend her. In fact, we were so pleased with the process and the outcome the we enthusiastically referred her to our daughter and son-in-law who were facing some forks in the road regarding the substantial remodel they had undertaken. Theresa provided them with choices and counsel that helped them finalize the design and get the project on tack and moving ahead.

Theresa's work was a huge help to our project. Her attention to detail, eye for both aesthetic design, and practicality in creating a livable space are what make her stand out in our mind. We could not be more pleased with our kitchen, bathroom and living area that she helped design. Theresa also worked very well with our contractors to get our job done in the most efficient manner. Her response time in communication was far above anyone else we worked with during the project. We highly recommend her and her beautiful work!

Theresa did a fantastic job bringing our ideas to life. We have always been very interested in design ourselves but realized that we needed to work with a pro to actually put our requests together into a working, functional, liveable and awesome space. We were very impressed by the decisions Theresa made and her ability to adapt quickly to a few on-the-fly decisions that needed to be made. She really did a great job. We have already referred her to friends and would not hesitate to do so again.

My kitchen remodel was the first major remodel I had ever done. I had heard of Theresa Sterbis's reputation for working with clients. We met at my home. We sat down and she asked me what I wanted. I told her what I had in mind. Theresa looked at everything, took photos, took measurements and asked more questions. Three weeks later, Theresa came back with a design that was simply wonderful. The design was something that I would not have thought of nor have I seen anywhere else! Theresa helped me with the selections of woods, colors and styles. All my friends and neighbors are amazed at the final product. I've held more dinner parties in six weeks than I have all of last year! Theresa asked me what surprised me during the remodel and I would say that in spite of all the anxiety, all the stress, all the second guessing, the kitchen is exactly what I dreamt of and even more. The kitchen turned out beyond all my wildest expectations. And it is all because of Theresa Sterbis. July 2015. My remodel is a year old now and I really have to say that I absolutely love the design that Theresa created. She drew "outside the box." The kitchen exceeded my wildest dreams. Theresa listened to what I said. She incorporated what I wanted and told me "no" when she needed to. And that is the collaboration I want! The kitchen is perfect for parties and gatherings. This past Thanksgiving, I hosted 15 people for appetizers and 8 for dinner. Then Friday night, I hosted 9 people for leftovers! It was nice the kitchen was big enough that we were not in each other's way. I would have never hosted two events like this in the previous kitchen design. Also, the previous open floor plan had four "energies" going on. Now there is only one energy. Thank you, Theresa. David (This remodel was expensive because I bought new major appliances, new flooring throughout the living space and new electricity (the old electrical plan was to code to 1954!).)

I found Theresa (Project Partners) thru Houzz and have been really pleased. I contracted with Theresa to deliver drawings for the remodel of 3 bathrooms. She was always responsive and on-time with deliverables, very flexible, and came up with lots of good ideas that I am planning to imlement. I also worked with Theresa on cabinet selection (syle, wood, color, etc); she is very knowledgable and forthrite. I highly recommend Project Partners.

Our long-postponed kitchen remodel was on the horizon, and we knew we needed a designer to do it right. It seems strange now, but I hadn't heard of Houzz.com. Someone recommended the site as a source for designers. I was immediately struck by Theresa Sterbis's elegant, functional designs and her thoughtful approach. The moment Theresa came to see our existing kitchen, I knew we had the right designer. We connected immediately over our Chicago background and alma mater. When she started talking about what the kitchen needed, I was so impressed by her insights that I hired her on the spot. To say that she exceeded expectations is an understatement. Theresa created a comprehensive plan that took into account what we wanted, what was possible, and how we used the space. She was patient and forthright in terms of changes (although her initial plan was almost spot-on). She recommended a great contractor and had good suggestions on countertops, lighting and backsplash. Throughout the process, she was a valuable sounding board and always responded promptly to any issues (of which there were very few). The kitchen and adjacent family room remodel are the definition of beauty and functionality. We couldn't be happier. We're planning a master bathroom renovation next year and wouldn't consider using anyone except Theresa.

Theresa is a sharp and creative designer that has an eye for details. After she designed our kitchen we asked her a lot of questions about her choices. She had a clear intelligent answer for every concern and explained exactly why she had made certain decisions. Since she is also trained as an engineer, she is a problem solver! We have the weirdest kitchen space and don't have the funds to knock walls down, but with some really creative small changes we can totally re-make the space. We interviewed two other designers before Theresa. She won hands-down. We will soon start the process of getting Theresa's plans bid out by various contractors, and then the gutting will begin. More to come!

I have worked with Theresa at Project Partners since 2004. Since that time we have worked on three additional personal projects. A finished lower level with a wine cellar, sauna and exercise area. The second project included a full kitchen remodel and entertainment unit in the city of Chicago. We are so confident of Theresa, her knowledge and experience that we flew her from California to Chicago to work on our current project at Lake Shore East. That should speak for itself.
