As an interior designer myself, I enjoyed collaborating with her on my own office studio storage unit. From the excellent quality of the cabinets, the attention to detail - even with the smallest things like - and the breadth of design options we were initially presented with, we really enjoyed working with Lillian and her team to bring our kitchen dreams to life. They designed an efficient layout that works perfectly with our day to day lifestyle and met our budget. We experienced some changes with our contractor to the size and location of windows/doors and ductwork in the kitchen and Lillian revised everything to perfectly fit while still maintaining our vision, including helping us hide some of the ductwork. During our initial meeting, Lillian listened to our ideas, and incorporated them into her drawings. As a matter of fact, she created several innovative layouts for our kitchen, far more than any other kitchen designer that I had consulted! After we narrowed-down our selection, Lillian produced beautiful renderings to help us visualize the design, which we found extremely helpful. When we decided to expand our renovation to include updating our staircases, powder room, main floor laundry room, living room, dining room, and the main floor hallways, Lillian made suggestions and collaborated with us to create more functional living spaces. She recommended competitively-priced retailers and wholesalers, and even accompanied me to their showrooms. She provided personal assistance and design advice when I was selecting flooring, countertops, cabinets, windows, baseboards, crown molding, door handles, coat cabinet doors and more. She also managed the extensive contractor's work which included relocating our ductwork, plumbing, widening doorways, constructing LVL's, 2 coat cabinets, removing carpet, sanding and staining our staircases, installing new railings, pot lights throughout the main floor, kitchen windows, and the subsequent masonry electrical work. Lillian went above and beyond and meticulously planned our dream kitchen, gorgeous laundry room, powder room, and entire main floor. Approximately 1 year has passed since the renovation, and all of the cabinets and other materials have endured beautifully. We are extremely pleased with our kitchen and main floor renovation and would not hesitate to recommend Pulsar Design.

Lillian, Vlad and their team at Pulsar Designs did an absolutely amazing job for me in gutting and renovating my basement. The space has been turned into a beautiful living space which includes a fireplace and a media/tv/movie room. The built-in cabinets and mini-kitchen area are so beautiful and quite functional too. Lillian and her team are great to work with and deliver a quality product. My husband and I had a bit of a vision and some ideas, but she guided us in the right direction with all the hundreds of choices and decisions one has to go through when designing and building a kitchen from scratch. She's so committed and detailed, that when the appliance person came to inspect whether all openings were actually ready to receive appliances he made a point of telling me: "I've never experienced this before in my work. There's nothing wrong, nothing to adjust, it's all perfect."

They are a wonderful company to deal with both Lillian who was very helpful in choosing colours and design and Vlad who's workmanship was excellent. They didn't leave me when I had a problem and I highly recommend them whether a Reno or complete new work.

Lillian at Pulsar is a wonderful designer. She took our very awkward hall, walking cupboard and principle bathroom space and combined it into an extremely elegant and very functional single room, with floor to ceiling cupboards. The design is unique and makes wonderful use of our space. Lillian managed the subcontractors, got us different quotes and managed the purchase of the fixtures, tiles etc. The built in, very bespoke cupboards fit our high ceiling space perfectly and are beautifully made. This is the second significant project I have used Pulsar on and the results both times were a wonderful combination of function and visually appealing design.

Pulsar was the best decision we made for our Reno project. We had an idea of what we needed for our kitchen but Lilian has an eye for what is the best and she made sure we'd be happy by presenting not 1 but 10 different options we never would have thought possible! We worked with Lillian and Vlad a couple of years ago to create the kitchen of our dreams and we were thrilled (see my review April 2016). Unfortunately, we had a house fire in 2017 and had to start all over again. It was devasting, but there was absolutely no question in our minds, they were our choice for this massive project! When Lillian came out to see it, she was visibly moved and vowed to help us design and rebuild our home...and boy did she deliver! Our beautiful kitchen was replicated, plus 5 gorgeous new bathrooms and a killer laundry room complete with a dog shower! Everything I said in the first review still stands and the extra care and commitment they demonstrated throughout this emotional process will not be forgotten. Doing a reno and want top quality? Call them, you will not be disappointed!!

We were very pleased with the whole process, from point of initial contact with Lillian, through to installation and afterward. At all points Lillian was highly communicative and offered balanced advice. She was very receptive to our ideas and was a pleasure to work with. Lillian was a huge help in designing our kitchen and bathrooms when we renovated our house. We didn't start with a clear picture of what we wanted, and Lillian worked diligently with us to help figure out our design preferences. In the kitchen, she helped us decide on the layout of the appliances and cabinets, as well as the features inside the cabinets. Throughout, she helped us translate our experiences and expectations into concrete design choices. She also worked with us on cabinets for the living room, dining room, and family room, as well as bathroom vanities. She designed, built, and installed all of these cabinets. Everything looks great and functions very well. Lillian spent a lot of time in showrooms with us, helping us choose materials for the kitchen and bathrooms. Lillian is a pleasure to work with: responsive, conscientious, and enthusiastic. She wouldn't let us make any decisions until she was convinced we'd be happy with the decision in the long term. When issues arose--with suppliers or tradespeople--Lillian was an excellent advocate for us, insisting that we got what we needed. We enthusiastically recommend Lillian and her team.

I hired Pulsar Design to transform my condo into an urban oasis. The beautiful kitchen cabinets and island create an airy spacious feeling while providing ample room for storage. The cabinets extend into an office area with a built in Murphy bed and desk. The flow is absolutely beautiful and the huge doors encasing the bed are a work of art. Lillian is a visionary and nothing short of brilliant. Vlad and their team are detail oriented, meticulous and extremely helpful and professional.

Wow! That is the word I hear from everyone when they see my new kitchen and it really describes the transformation. Not only is my kitchen more beautiful than I could ever have dreamed of, Lillian’s focus on all the aesthetic and functional details makes it’s a delight to work in every day. There were absolutely no regrets or oversights. An unexpected bonus was the joy of working with such dedicated, enthusiastic and skilled professionals who genuinely allowed me to be a full collaborated partner in the design. Lillian’s and Vlad’s expertise turned my vision into a real life masterpiece. I first met Lillian and Vlad 14 years ago when we had just purchases a small 1959 bungalow. Then they renovated another contractor’s new but poorly planned and cheaply done kitchen. Pulsar Design made it functional and added some small upgraded features, modest but important improvements. All we were prepared to do at the time. More than a decade later, I called Lillian again but this time it was to create my dream kitchen. When she walked in I would see her mind already excited by the design possibilities. Then she noticeably stopped herself and said “Tell me what you have in mind.” I had very specific ideas: the stain for the cupboards, the positioning of the sink and the microwave, the type of backsplash, countertop, flooring, drawer inserts etc. Lillian immediately began to improve on my vision, suggesting to gain more space we remove the bulkhead and shorten the depth of the island drawers. Her keen observation skills noted that the existing breakfast bar was higher than normal so it made it difficult for people to sit comfortably at it. When I excitedly I suggested glass doors with lead inserts, Lillian cautioned “You already have a lot going on here” and she was right, less was more. Lillian worked with awe inspiring precision to give me all the extra space she could to the nearest 1/4'’. She reworked the design numerous times to accommodate the drawer inserts I wanted while ensuring I had enough counter space beside the stove and the sink. (We joked that the whole kitchen had been designed around the garbage can inserts.)

Pulsar Design Inc completed two reno projects for my husband and I. The first was a complete redo of the kitchen. I was very pleased with the job. Pulsar designed and constructed a new kitchen for us. They created a unique design not suggested by other companies. The design was very precise with no wasted space and good anticipation of how the kitchen would function. The cabinetry and drawers are extremely well constructed and stand up to the loads we have put into them with ease. The installation went very quickly and we were pleased with quality of the work. The installers were there every day,all day, until the job was done.

Our kitchen had many complications due to the age of our house. Lillian came up with a wonderfully functional design which allowed us to utilize many tricky spaces and angles effectively. We actually cut down on cupboards and still gained more storage due to her clever features inside the cabinetry. Vlad`s workmanship is excellent in both our kitchen and dining room built-ins. We hired pulsar design inc to design and install a galley kitchen. We found Lillian professional, experienced and very efficient. Lillian designed my kitchen, and her team built it, and it is absolutely gorgeous. When people visit, they love my place and in particular they comment on the kitchen, which is a meeting area and just so beautiful as a space. Pulsar managed 2 projects for us a) Kitchen & Bathroom renovation 2003&4: Designed and managed a complete teardown and rebuild of the two rooms. Cabinet design is superb. Area layout is sleek and efficient using the entire available space. b) Family room & Hallway & Powder Room renovation 2009: Designed and managed a complete renovation of a dated set of rooms. Colour usage and materiasl chosen have made the house look very contemporary.

I have enjoyed my Pulsar designed and fabricated kitchen cabinets for many years. The hardware still works and cabinet facing still looks new so upkeep has not been a problem.
