Rissa's Heartfelt Kitchens

Rissa is an excellent kitchen designer, her work borders on performing miracles! We originally hired her for a kitchen remodel in our old house, where her work was already outstanding. I cried bitter tears when we moved house and I had to leave that beautiful kitchen behind. In our new house we inherited a tiny, impractical, dark kitchen with not much room even to change things because of a tiled floor that run through the whole downstairs with floor heating under it. I knew I had to get Rissa back, even though she now lived in another state. It was well worth it. Rissa's ideas of how to get us a new spacious and bright kitchen and breakfast area were stunning and ranged from incorporating an unused downstairs area, to a red barn door and lots of storage in hidden cupboards as well a fabulous, well designed pantry space. She does an amazing job, is incredibly creative and professional and patiently explains everything over and over to to people like me who have no understanding of a kitchen remodel. If you hire Rissa for your remodel project, you've struck gold!

Rissa did an exceptional job in helping to select the cabinets for my kitchen, dining room and bathrooms. Her design skills are exceptional. As a result I have 99% usable cabinet space. I could not be happier. She is easy to work with and very knowledgeable. You will not regret choosing her

Rissa helped me design my new kitchen. It was a big project that included taking out a pantry, raising the ceiling, and adding a center island. It was absolutely delightful to work with Rissa. Any home remodeling project is inherently stressful, but I was never worried and alway felt at ease with her recommendations. I really appreciated her patience, thoroughness, and knowledge of design options. We worked together on several floor plan versions before coming up with the right one, which allowed me to make sure everything was exactly where it should be. The cabinets Rissa recommended are really nice and were within my budget. I can't recommend her enough and given the opportunity, I will work with Rissa again in the future. You won't be disappointed if you work with Rissa.

Rissa was fantastic to work with. She really helped us get our remodel project off to a fast start by turning around the design iterations in a quick fashion. She always gave us several options to choose from but was great at advising us the best look for our home. She visited our home several times to make sure her measurements were spot on . We loved working with Charissa on our recent Pacific Grove kitchen/hall remodel -- she is a creative designer who listened carefully to our needs and wishes, made great suggestions on materials and design, was willing to "tweak" her design when asked, and very helpful in managing manufacturer's mistakes. Our remodeling experience was enhanced by working with Charissa; we are hoping to be able to call upon her design expertise again in the future.

My new kitchen exceeded my expectations. Honestly, I have really enjoyed working in it and the cabinets are just perfect. Sometimes I hear people say - oh you are just the right height to reach that cabinet above the oven - as if it were by chance! Rissa, thank you so much for taking care of all the details.

We used Rissa to help us design our kitchen, we had an old kitchen from the 1960's and wanted to bring it up to date and open it up. We also redesigned our laundry room at the same time. Even though we knew what we wanted to do, there are always little things and sometimes big things you just don't think of and it was great to have the help of someone who knows what questions to ask and help us stay on track. Rissa was very helpful and easy to work with. She measured everything and helped us pick out and design our cabinets, counters etc. When the cabinets came they fit perfectly. We love our new kitchen, if you are looking for someone to help you design a kitchen Rissa is a pro!

We had a full kitchen remodel that had tough angles and limited square footage. Rissa was incredibly knowledgable on product that would fit our budget, very helpful on cabinet design as well as drawer layout, more importantly very sensitive to our timeline. We could not have had a better professional to oversee our remodel.

Our general contractor recommended Rissa for two different projects. The first time, she designed the cabinets for our master bathroom. Recently, she designed our kitchen and dining area renovation. We have been so happy with her work on both projects. She is creative and happy to make recommendations, but does not push her ideas. She was on time and on budget and really pleasant to work with! I have already recommended her to several friends.

So happy that Rissa returned to Pacific Grove and agreed to tackle our small 50's kitchen with Mike Millette Construction! Rissa brought her trained eye to make the space suit our causal needs. Rissa's relationship with her custom cabinet companies was evident when the line we selected made the effort to contact her during production to offer an alternate customized cabinet divider, just in case it would better fit our cutting boards and trays. Mike brought in awesome trades people and helped us locate local window specialists to restore the kitchen windows to their original bungalow style. They both had extra challenges with our project since an unexpected family tragedy kept us mostly out of state for a year. Rissa and Mike were both kind, understanding, patient and kept the project moving along while we were gone. We are thrilled with our new open contemporary causal kitchen! It's still hard to believe that zero square footage was added because the space feels so much larger!

Charissa is a talented, creative, innovative designer! Her hard work and dedication to seeing every detail of a job completed correctly and professionally sets her head and shoulders above the rest. We worked together for many years on the Monterey Peninsula and she did an amazing job!
