Originally from California and NYC, I have been an independent kitchen and bathroom designer in Fairfield, CT since 1996. My background includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Tisch School of the Arts at NYU and jobs in Film, TV, and Theater. I began to design kitchens and bathrooms for friends and family in 1987 and went onto the NKBA training program in 1995. My training and experience encompass many disciplines, including color theory, space planning, lighting design, and ergonomics. I integrate classic design principles and current trends into my kitchen & bath designs.
Each project challenges me on different levels: to identify my clients' needs, wishes, and style, to articulate the house's requirements and -- within the parameters of space and budget - to come up with an inspired kitchen or bath. I work very hard to give these spaces the "magic" that makes them a true pleasure to live in and experience.
In 2007, the NKBA awarded me my Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD) designation after I completed 7 years of coursework, an apprenticeship, and two examinations.
