Our kitchen/ living room remodel turned out better than planned. TLC was recommended to use when we decided to make our current home meet our evolving needs. Taylor, Glen and Dave understood our vision and added their thoughts by designing a comprehensive computer rendering of what our house could be. They turned a lot of wasted space into usable living area. Nick, Brooke and Jody used their precise carpentry skills and brought the design to life. The team always showed up on time and cleaned up prior to leaving for the day. Cannot wait to start the next project with TLC.

We have used Total Living Concepts twice in the past - to entirely renovate our kitchen, and then our main bathroom and powder room, and had been very impressed with their work. So we went to TLC for our latest project to totally renovate our ensuite bathroom. Glen and designer Taylor guided us fully through the process, developing some very creative and bold ideas regarding the renovation, and then working various ideas and options collaboratively with us for a final ensuite bathroom design that was very impressive, unique and fully met our family's needs. Glen and Taylor provided a full design service researching product selections, colors and blueprint design ideas. The renovation production team led by Robert, and the onsite workers Jody (an especially big shout out for his work throughout the construction), Adamo, Brooke, Franco (with his impeccable tile work), and the electricians (Jesse) and plumbers (Brad) were all very professional and completed great work per plan, schedule and budget. The team was always willing to answer any questions we had. Even though a full bathroom renovation can certainly be messy, the onsite team were unbelievably careful in cleaning-up any mess and construction dust each day. Any agreed design changes were well coordinated with no surprises. My wife and I are very happy with the final completed ensuite bathroom design and functionality. We would certainly recommend TLC based on now our third renovation experience with Glen and this team.

We are very excited about how our kitchen renovation project turned out. We get many compliments from visitors who see it for the first time, especially those who saw the original red kitchen. The review that is long overdue – Sorry, we were busy cooking! Kristine Caldwell’s design gave us the kitchen of our dreams. The design is beautiful, functional and practical. The cabinetry, counter tops and accessories were expertly recommended and suited our needs for storage and use. With guidance by Kristine and Glen our eyes were opened to options we would never have considered. Have I mentioned the storage?! The slide out cabinets beside the range we would never have thought of and now we can’t imaging living with out them. It was a pleasure to work with such amazing people. What an fantastic team TLC has. Every person we interacted with was professional and extremely knowledgeable. They even took the time to answer my husband’s many questions. Big shout out to Jody for his above and beyond work. We enjoy cooking and used to spend time in our kitchen out of necessity. Now we spend time in the kitchen for enjoyment. We love it more each day! TLC completed our major kitchen reno with as little stress as possible. Everyone that we dealt with, plumbers, electrician, etc and all TLC staff were professional, creative, thoughtful and hardworking. There were never any issues with communication. Celeste, the designer, was fantastic at keeping us in the loop. This reno took a 3-4 months but with TLC we would do it again!

We are very happy that we chose Total Living Concepts to add some living space to our basement, and update our kitchen. TLC finished our basement right in the middle of a COVID outbreak. We really appreciated their attention to safety. We never once felt in danger having extra people at our house. The basement itself is amazing. It came out exactly as we expected and we will definitely invite them back to help us with future work.

Great team! From the initial contact, design, build, through completion they maintained the best schedule possible during COVID-19 pandemic. This was done by constant communication from my contact Celeste. She definitely knew her stuff when it came to my needs for changes to my house to deal with my mobility issues. The lead hand Brad was extremely knowledgeable and professional throughout. He was pivotal to ensuring the final product was exactly as described. Excellent work by all their trusted contractors. Definitely will recommend them for any project and will use them again soon.

As this was our first experience with a home reno, we asked around to get recommendations for reliable contractors. Most never even replied to phone calls. In sheer frustration we took a leap of faith and randomly called Total Living Concepts in Barrie. What a stroke of luck that turned out to be!! Celeste returned our call right away and we set up an appointment to get together. She showed up right to the minute (as was the case throughout the project). She immediately saw our vision for a new kitchen and front entry. We felt very comfortable going forward with this company. As with most renovations, ours expanded beyond the original plan and we added an overhaul to the lower level office/guest room. We can’t recommend Total Living Concepts highly enough! The people were fabulous and paid meticulous attention to details. Concerns were addressed immediately, no matter how small. We are so very thrilled with the end result!

We hired Total Living Concepts to install a quartz counter top, new sink and faucet, new gas stove and small wall microwave/convection/ steam oven. Before doing any of this, the old gas stove with downdraft had to be removed and the new gas stove had to be installed making sure that the downdraft was realigned with the existing HVAC system. Also, a custom made cabinet had to be fabricated to encase the new wall oven so that it looked "built-in". Total Living Concepts provided workmanship that was exceptional. The guys were very professional, showed up on time and didn't leave until the job was completed. They were courteous, attentive to our concerns, answered our many questions and worked with as little disruption to us as possible! They were all very knowledgable and provided quality work. We did change our minds about a number of details during the project which added to the cost; however, these issues were discussed and agreed end upon before proceeding. It should be noted that the project was supposed to begin the end of July but when our new stove was delivered by TA Appliances, unfortunately, it was damaged and had to be returned and reordered which set the start date back which was no fault of Total Living Concepts. TLC accommodated us by giving us another date shortly afterwards even though they were busy. We really appreciated this!! Because of the close communication with Celeste, our design consultant, there were no surprises at the end in terms of cost. Again, we very much appreciated this!! We give a big shout out especially to Celeste, Robert, who supervised the work, and Jody, who worked tirelessly each day and always with a smile on his face!! Thank you to all who worked on our project from Total Living Concepts!!! We couldn't have chosen a better company that did everything....a one-stop shop.

Thanks Total Living Concepts for a well executed renovation of our kitchen/dining room. A few months ago, we considered a kitchen renovation and approached the company to discuss our ideas. The $1,500 design fee was money well spent to get a professional plan, that was deductible from the total cost. Celeste Pilon prepared an efficient design that required only minor changes to meet our needs. Her material and colour recommendations were also perfect. She followed the progress of the project throughout to ensure we were satisfied. Rob Tolles was the site supervisor who was either on site, or available by phone to solve unforeseen problems quickly. He also ensured that we were aware of any delays or schedule changes. The tradesmen were always polite and steady workers who ensured entry routes were protected, work area was enclosed to contain dust and that the area was vacuumed regularly. The work area was always secured when workers were absent. The final inspection found only minor concerns that were quickly rectified. The city and electrical inspectors were pleased with the quality of the completed work. In the end, we can state that this company made every effort to complete the renovation with minimal disruption.

Total Living Concepts provided an excellent professional experience from beginning to end. Right from the initial ballpark quoting on our design concepts and ideas earlier in that year right through to the actual commencement and completion of the construction later in the year. Designer Celeste's knowledge and recommendations provided us with a polished end design and was able to keep us on budget, a real pleasure to deal with! The TLC crew in the field was also fantastic. They were friendly and respectful, always kept the site as clean as could be, provided recommendations where possible and always kept you in the loop of scheduling. The TLC crew also provided quality workmanship, spent the time needed to get the job done right the first time. Communication from top to bottom was impressive, as a homeowner, you were never left guessing at any stage, which is extremely important when undertaking an investment of this proportion. We had our master ensuite renovated. I have no design sense and was struggling with what to do. KIm at TLC came to the rescue! She created a beautiful design and helped me select everything, from tiles to cabinets. Everyone in this company, from the designers to the tradespeople are professional and friendly. They all cleaned up after every visit. I would recommend this company to anyone.

After living in our home for 28 years we really need a face lift for our kitchen. We were quite impressed with the professionalism, knowledge and the quality of their work. My husband suffers from Early Onset Alzheimer’s and Kim, a great designer, designed a bathroom and kitchen to reduce stress for an Alzheimer’s household. They are great! My husband needed some accommodations during the renovation process, and all their employees were very compassionate and accommodating. It made his daily life easier. Each of the TLC team were fantastic. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend TOTAL LIVING CONCEPTS for any job big or small. A big MERCI to Kim and the TLC team!!

TLC recently completed the kitchen, butler's pantry, laundry room and fireplace cabinets for our new build in Barrie. The design team was very detailed and responsive to questions. The contract was very clear and complete. The work was completed with great attention to detail and quality by very pleasant and competent staff. We love our new home!

TLC was a wonderful company to work with from day 1. They answered all of our questions and helped guide us in making decisions for our renovation began on time, the contractors were polite, clean, and respectful of our home and family. We were very happy with our renovation and love our new living space!

TLC recently completed our Kitchen, Hall and Powder Room renovation and we are extremely pleased with the results. The project included a completely new kitchen, new porcelain tiles throughout the kitchen, the hall to our front door as well as the Powder room and laundry room. New drywall in much of the kitchen and painting throughout. New Kitchen Craft cabinets and Cambria Quartz counter tops. We provided all the appliances but TLC installed them all for us, including carrying them into the house from the garage, which was a challenge in itself given the size of the fridge. Throughout the entire project, which took approximately 12 weeks, the entire team at TLC was outstanding. With Celeste doing the design and being our ongoing planner and consultant on changes (and our primary communications person at TLC), and Jody, who's excellent construction skills and patience with our questions made things a little easier to understand and to deal with, and Rob handling the coordination of trades people and making sure things got done and done correctly, everything went very well from start to finish. And all of the tradesmen, including Keith the electrician, Frank the tile installer, the drywall team and the painters, all did excellent and professional work. I would recommend any of them independently. We ended up spending a fair bit more that what we first envisioned, but mainly because we wanted some upgraded options with the cabinets and quartz counter tops, and because we were pleased with the work being done by TLC, so we kept adding more things into the scope of the original project. A lot of care and attention was put into every aspect of the reno by TLC, so we felt comfortable adding additional items to the project. We also ended up adding a completely new electrical panel, and a complete redo of the ceiling with new Lotus lights throughout our front hall, as well as some changes to the back splash tiles. The original estimates for plumbing and electrical were close to the final price but we did run into a few unexpected costs due to some minor replacement of plumbing drains. We never felt pressured to spend more or do anything we didn't agree with. When we did voice concerns they were dealt with quickly and to our satisfaction. I see so many reviews for work just completed, I thought it may be helpful to others embarking on an expensive project to read about the quality of workmanship and the thoughtfulness behind design options presented by Total Living Concepts. Ours wasn't a huge project (approx. 13K), but the redesign of an old kitchen in a small 1950's bungalow. We discussed the project with 5 kitchen design companies and Total Living Concepts was the only one to think outside the box. They were able to meet all of our wish list items and come up with unique design for our kitchen that still gets compliments today. The quality of the products used and workmanship is fantastic ... we have never had to adjust even a cupboard hinge in the 10 years since this project was completed.

WOW!!! We started with an "Open Concept Kitchen" and ended with a "Brand New Home". The Team at Total Living Concepts were amazing in creating the whole package. We are very happy with our recent bathroom renovation completed by TLC and got exactly what we wanted. From the start, Glen was very easy to talk to and worked hard to understand and meet our needs. The construction crew was very capable, approachable and respectful. The work was done on time and the work area was left clean each evening and weekend so it was not overly disruptive to our lives. The crew each took pride in their respective crafts, which is evident in the finished product. Overall, we would not hesitate to recommend TLC to another homeowner. TLC was not the lowest quote we received, but we do believe that you get what you pay for and it was worth every dollar for this hassle-free experience in our opinion.
