Urban Homes - Innovative Design for Kitchen & Bath

We did a thorough renovation of our kitchen. Chris was terrific to work with: knowledgeable, patient, and highly professional. The quality of Urban Homes service and products is sterling.

We did a gut renovation and Amanda really helped us design the kitchen in a way that made it most user friendly for our family while also creating a look that was sleek, warm, and beautiful. She gave us so many good ideas and really listened to us explain what was important to us. She paid great attention to detail and her follow up with us was always very quick. We are thrilled with how our kitchen looks and works.

Urban Homes was amazing to work with in renovating my kitchen. Their showroom is beautiful! We did a total renovation and Urban designed the entire space including the cabinets and furniture, appliances, backsplash and countertops. The quality of the materials is top of the line and the installation was seamless. Our dated kitchen is now sleek and contemporary and the talk of the neighborhood!

Urban Homes (UHNY) helped me design a kitchen this year. I am very happy with the result. The kitchen is both very attractive and a pleasure to cook in. At the beginning of the process, the designer (Amanda) was responsive to my preferences as we explored cabinet styles and price points. It was helpful to be able to walk around the showroom and see examples of cabinet brands and finishes. The initial design was a nice balance of taking my preferences into consideration and offering new ideas. We went through several rounds of revision to arrive at an aesthetically pleasing design that fell within budget. The designer gracefully responded to my feedback throughout the process. She was quick to suggest alternatives and keep the process moving forward. The designer has good taste and helped me with many choices along the way to arrive at a good result. I appreciated that she was available to consult with me on these details by phone, text, email or sometimes in person. We even made a trip to a stone shop in New Jersey to pick slabs for countertops. She cared about coming up with an attractive and functional kitchen. During construction, the designer and Urban Homes staff were sometimes unavailable or hard to reach when the builder needed guidance about certain design issues. I wouldn't expect the process to be easy, but this is one area for improvement. The kitchen came out beautifully. The cabinetry is excellent quality and a good value. The style of the kitchen is sleek and modern, but warmed up by wood and a stunning marble countertop and backsplash. I asked for open shelving which was placed over the stove. It looks fantastic. The designer took this initial idea and executed it beautifully. The designer's professionalism, knowledge and experience, good taste and commitment to a good result allowed us to have a successful collaboration. Thanks to Urban Homes for helping me through this complicated process and reaching an end result that is both beautiful and functional.

The Urban Homes cabinets in my kitchen are terrific - the white glossy laquer finish is excellent. Great value. Logan was very pleasant to work with and promptly resolved minor installation issues. I will use them again.

I worked with Urban Homes and its,contractor partner Home Solutions when i renovated easily the ugliest kitchen in New York. Now it's a dream kitchen...gorgeous, warm and sleek at the same time, and incredibly user friendly, despite my choice of,stainless steel countertops! I worked formthemsecondmtime,with architect Johannes Knoops to solve the thornt problems asociated with this ridiculous apace.

Derek did a brilliant job designing and installing our kitchen and storage cabinetry throughout our apartment as part of a gut renovation. Working closely and collegially with our architect, he helped re-imagine the look and functionality of the entire apartment by creating storage spaces pretty much everywhere. His taste is both modern and warm. His workmen were extremely professional and perfectionist. When we needed help on a few occasions for minor follow-up work after the project wrapped up, he always promptly followed up and gave us the help we needed. We can recommend him without reservation.

Hired for gut renovation of our NYC apartment. - 3 month project turned into 1 year. - poor communication after project mgr left shop and owner, Derek, took over. - horrible response time after most of monies paid with work still outstanding. - michelle was wonderful to work with on all aspects of kitchen remodel. Overall, the price is competitive and service/communication was good until the job neared completion. Poor attention to detail and customer satisfaction. It was our first reno project and the best part about it was learning from mistake(s) of using urban homes.

Urban Homes... read the review but ...BOTTOM LINE... you are fool if you go to any other kitchen and bath shop in the state of NY. Pros: personal one-on-one time and attention. Multitude of options and finishes. Cutting edge design solutions. Great designers. Impeccable attention to detail. Highly knowledgeable, friendly, and clean installers. Over all experience was above what I had expected. My over 20 lineal feet kitchen had arrived on time and installed without a hiccup. My designer came up with a few very inventive solutions in order to fully maximize the space I had, using really up and coming design solution I wasn't even aware existed. When one issue had come up due to a building mix up (nothing to do with Urban Homes) my designer Jacob made his way to my house (in hudson valley NY) personally to help find a solution. The design process was very pleasant and I had a large variety of styles and finishes to choose from. The kitchen came in at the budget i had allocated to it. No surprises there. My designer also consulted on other aspects of the kitchen they had not provided me with and were more that happy to assist in any area they were knowledge able. I could no be more satisfied with the service, the design, the options, the installation, and the final product! BOTTOM LINE: you are fool if you go to any other kitchen and bath shop in the state of NY.

I just finished a renovation project in New York City with Urban Homes. They helped me with all aspects of the project design (kitchen, bath, floors, etc.) and served as GC. My job is pretty intense, so I was looking for a one-stop solution, but didn't want to go the full distance and hire a decorator. Urban Homes was a great solution for me, and I am very pleased with the result.

After visiting a few kitchen showrooms in NYC, our architect sent us to Urban Homes. Upon walking into their showroom, my husband and I knew we had found our place. The kitchen displays in their showroom are gorgeous, tasteful and perfect for Manhattan living. We worked with Derek, and he helped design a kitchen for us that is both beautiful and functional. We love the final product. If you are designing a kitchen in NYC, you must visit this showroom.

I wandered in to Urban Homes without an appointment and was cordially greeted and invited to look around as much as I liked. I had a few basic questions that were answered fully, including estimated pricing, and received several product samples and a cabinet brochure. The next time I wandered in I met Derek, who ultimately helped us with our cabinet decisions and then came over to take measurements and make suggestions. I am absolutely thrilled with these cabinets!!! The two installers were extremely capable and worked all day every day until the job was complete. This was not an easy task as we are in a 125 year old building where nothing is straight or square and virtually every cabinet had to be cut. The only problem we had was that the lead time ended up being quite a bit longer than the estimate, mostly due to the end-of-year holiday, but the result was worth the wait.
